The ninth story in the CAP Saga, an old box is found in the attic, and it contains some interesting information. This story is set in 1999 and in the 1940s.

Before you read this story, consider: 1. It contains graphic descriptions of sex between men. There may even be some sex with women in here. 2. Be aware of the effects of inflation. A good rule of thumb is to consider that $1.00 in 1999 is probably similar to $1.40 in 2009. 3. This is a continuation of the Chronicles of an Academic Predator Saga. Many of the characters in this story were introduced in “Chronicles of an Academic Predator,” “1968,” “The Land Whore,” “Be Rad,” “Man in Motion,” “A Summer Love,” “If It Fits,” and “Bloodlines.” You don't have to read them before this story, but it will give you a deeper insight into those characters and their pasts.

This one, this is the one. The glue, the gristle and tendons that bind the CAP series in a way that none of the others do. @Mark Arbour, such a beautiful melancholic love story set over almost 100 years. The final chapters binding so many of the characters together and giving closure to those of us who wondered about many of the emotional loose ends and what drove your characters into the situations you created.  Masterfully crafted, thank you

This was an outstanding story and an essential part of the multi-generational family saga. Mark, I absolutely loved the device of the journal and its ability to bring us back to the events in the several families in the 1940s. Kudos! I can't wait to begin the next part of the history, entering the 21st century - or maybe not, who knows what our author has in store for us!

To anyone who wants to read a gripping and rewarding story: look no further!

Thank you so much for your kind words.  Raves from a fellow author are like manna from heaven.  That's an odd biblical reference from an atheist.  😀

I had gotten to the point in the saga where I wanted to go back in time, and I was trying to figure out a way to do that.  One of my favorite scenes in the whole saga...the encounter with Steven and Jack in front of his grandfather...is in this book.
