Okay so this is trifling because it was a very good start - but "The room is lit by torches blazing on the walls, but no heat comes from them, no light, the same with the large log fire"

 

 

How can the torches light the room but give off no light?

 

Five years of research?? Holy crap ** Quickly goes to read chapter 1** :great:

Hi Quonus, Nice to meet you at last, it does sound a bit strange I grant you, but I was trying to create a dream like state , it is a real room there are torches on the wall and a large open fireplace. Only lit by the dream. Hope you get it. and many many thanks :) Mark

A very interesting start. I have been meaning to read this story for a while and am bowing to pressure, not that I need any really, it's just time really. Loving the concept so far
