Mawgrim has created a truly wonderful story with this one in his Dragonriders of Pern series.  I never even thought of this material when the series started.

What happens to those that are left behind.  They know something monumental has happened but not what.  Do they work to find out or just accept what is?

Zalna was one of my favorite characters from the couple of stories preceding this one and she did not disappoint in this one either.

Was exceptionally well written and truly flowed wonderfully.  What did Zalna discover?  Read this wonderful addition to the story and find out...

This lovely Pern story is set in Benden Weyr after the disappearance of the 5 other weyrs.  Zalna and T'sin wonder what has happened to their friends, but more important worry about how well the dragonriders of Benden will be able to protect Pern during the 9th Pass of the red star.  The story has many adventures and details that make it an authentic recreation of the original Pern stories.  A great read if you love Pern.  Mawgrim's writing style and skills make this a moving and engaging read.
