I don't know about the imagination bit. lol - blame that on the characters who keep doing and saying things which need further elaboration.

The 60s had Flipper, we have Sonic. I wonder what comes next, after a friend of the AIs status. I worry Wirrin is being to pushed to hard. Great chapter, thank you.

The actions of the "Directed Comunities" reminds me of a rather deperssing solution to the Fermi Paradox: there are no inter-stellar civilizations, because we all destroy oursevels before we reach that point.
