No Fairytale World

   (3 reviews)
Genres: Romance,
Sub-genres: Contemporary Romance

False hopes, crushed dreams, and an unknown future--life really isn't a fairy tale.

Andy can't hide his true feelings anymore. The only way out of his misery is to face the consequences. His life takes a hard turn as he struggles with his regrets, and the pain he inflicted on the people he loves. Even if waking up to a new day is difficult, he still has one good friend, Mark, at his side to support him. Pete's past was everything but pleasant. He can run away from people, he can run away from places, but he can't run away from his demons. His attempt for a fresh start and for a better life is not so easy. He comes to realize that some people are not meant to be saved, and that some ghosts never completely go away.

Quote

The truth had set them free

Choosing to end the story with this famous quote from Bible, author is sending strong message to readers. Both protagonists have baggage from the past but, being 'forced' to share friend's house as roomettes make them help each other heal, leave the past behind and embrace the happiness which future brings them. Being able to finally accept the truth and proudly share it to the world freed them from the chains of past and shame.

Story deals with abuse, prostitution, domestic violence; but it promotes family values, love and fight for better life.

This is a story of two broken men, not physically, but emotionally. Their stories are different, they both have  a past, one has been abused, the other has been hiding his sexuality. Then when they are both at a low point in there lives becoming room-mates and it's hate at first sight, but you know what they say about love and hate. Once crusty exteriors are broken through things take a different path. This is a story to read and savour, I enjoyed it and I'm sure others will too. A good recommended read.
