You cannot read this without reading the whole Carter Saga. From start to finish it is compelling with great characters and brilliant interwoven story lines. The story of a boy as he grows into the man he becomes feels so real as fictional as it is is one of the best reads that you can ask for. It's not just the story of William Carter it is also the story of the people that he comes into contact with. I strongly recommend this as a must read for those who want strong characters, believable story lines, action and romance all finely balanced. I take my hat off to @Topher Lydon for writing a series of excellent stories that blend so well.
