The Elf's Hunt 1. Pathfinders

   (2 reviews)
Sub-genres: Adventure, General Fantasy

Hope is a rogue. But that doesn't mean he's bad. Not that the world cares. All they see is a demon trying to corrupt the world. But behind that is a gentle soul who cares about his family.

Elliun doesn't care if a tiefling has a soul. A demon is a demon, as far as he's concerned. But when a palace he has been hired to protect is burglarized, he soon finds that not every demon is a monster.

Loved the concept as I'm a huge fan of worlds like this, writing was good but i feel like the story was dreadfully short and details about the characters were sorely lacking. The sequel to this story kind of stopped dead after two chapters and hasn't been touched since. I would personally love to see more adventures involving Hope and Elliun and to see their relationship flourish and develop.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately this is one of those stories that fell by the wayside when I was searching for new ideas. I've been playing around with older stories lately, so the story might be revived at some point.

I do have to say that the story is well written; but the story development is somewhat lacking.  There really isn't enough information given to fully understand the characters backgrounds.  The pacing was good except for two or three chapters that were a little choppy.  The writing really was good, and the adventures were interesting.  I can recommend the story to those that enjoy this genre.  Was left wondering if this was either a sequel to a previous story or the start of a series.  Just kept feeling like I was missing some of the information need to fully understand what was going on in the story.
