I just started re-reading one of my earliest bookmarks from Cryboy.org. As I read Jeff Allen's story "When Love Comes" part of his trilogy of stories, I realized why I started down the path of reading gay fiction and I can even now pinpoint something else, the balance of an erotic story and a gay fiction story. I will do an in-depth review on these three classic gems in a few weeks after I am done with the over 100 chapters, but for now, I just want to share something I rediscovered.

I am going through a camping fetish stage right now, so bear with me as I dig through my old story bookmarks. I don't know why I feel like digging up the past, but there's just something interesting and reminiscent about reading old stories I used to like.
So let's review this story: http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/highschool/wilderness-survival/
To start off, I thought The Journey by Sunshine boy was dated, but pleasant and capable of being updated if the writer ever returns. This story
I am avid reader, but not always bound by GA's collection of talented writers
Today, I am going to review an oldie that I fished out of my bookmarks from years ago. It's a short story that can be read in one day if you feel like it, despite being split into 20 chapters. I never met this author during his time, but I do appreciate a nice reading.

To start off, how much is love worth to you? I don't know about you guys, but $1500.00 sound
Time to watch some movies and I pick the 2014 Brazilian film "The Way He Looks"; ironically, the movie is about a gay blind boy, like I could relate to that
Sometimes, I feel like a unicorn, being both gay and legally blind (I am fully blind in my left eye and have 20/300 distance with 20/70 reading in my right eye). It's a rare subject and it's a rare concept. To me, this subject is extremely interesting and important. Through boyfriends and hook ups, one thing I learned about modern gay
One More Political Observation, I really am trying to get away from this, but for some reason; I keep getting pulled in by how ridiculous this stuff is getting.
Also for the people who keep saying wait it's only summer, this is not too early to speak politics or candidates; remember Citizens United ruling has made the idea of a honeymoon moot in politics. As long as you have one major Super PAC left, you are always running. It's an ugly concept and I think older Republicans and Democrats don

Loyalty Oaths? What the hell is wrong with these guys? This is not the People's Republic of the United States, we don't need to pledge unconditional loyalty ot a political party in order to make our way in life.
I don't like Trump, I made that extremely clear, but this is stupid and is only causing the rifts within the GOP to grow bigger. He's got no real ch
I miss Bluesox, who was a former member here from Boston in the Finance industry. Being an accountant, I am technically his mortal foe on valuation purposes ,but I loved arguing with him over the future of Capital markets and Capitalism itself. Beyond politics, my first love is Economics and we are seeing a classic example of Supply surplus with weak demand. Yes, the great recession was started with too much hype over Supply side economics, but the current situation really shows that there is m
This is not a political post, but an honest congratulations to all those brave men involved. I have been watching the unfolding story of the 3 Americans, a British national, and a Frenchman fight off a terrorist armed with an automatic weapon on a high speed train heading to Paris. If there's a good reason why we should be in the fight together as a collective whole rather than a unilateral force, this incident proves that unity can triumph over terror.
This could have been a lot worse, it c
Still not talking about Politics I am holding my nose and head away from that shit storm. Instead, I went to a nice summer BBQ, had a hot dog (no I am not eating dogs that would be cannibalism ), and just enjoying my day.
Something I realized today though is that you can make a dry, non mayo Potato salad taste pretty good, but I think it robs the dish of the flavor it should have. I am not a huge healthy eater type of guy; although, I did bring a fruit plate to the BBQ as a gift (It's a Ch
Alright, let me drop politics for a bit and blog about something I seldom talk about, my nascent love of compression gear Yes, I have a naughty fashion edge to me; especially towards runner outfits and exercise outfits
It's just so hot!
It's also so form fitting
Let me add a few more for fun:

Anyone else?
I am one of those contrarians, you know that guy who will eat a box of twizzlers despite knowing I hate the lycorish or in this case giving a man I know I despise a few minutes of my life to listen to what he has to say. To be honest, I still hate lycorish, but I learned twizzler is actually eatable. I actually listened to Donald Trump's speech in New Hampshire and I might not like the man, but I can see his appeal and even agree with him, that just got me thinking about the nature of defining m
Well beyond meditating on Eastern/Western philosophical and religious issues for "blue Rose", which is still being written as a re-launch for my Causality Universe, I also got some life updates.
I've pulled the trigger and I am leaving Corporate America, aka Health care/ Insurance accounting. Horray!
I am going to be the accountant of a Non-Profit Education and Disability Services, which I feel like coming back home to a place, I actually care a deep amount about. I have worked in non-pr
There's an intrinsic idea about debt, whether it's traditional debt, held for credit cards, student loans, or mortgages that is easy to determine with formulas and interest rates for value, or intrinsic obligations, beheld by concepts like friendship, family, or love; it is part of all social contracts and human civilization itself. Without debt, we would not have the underlying framework for our daily lives.

I recently saw this movie and I just can't help, but admire it. (Zombie may make jokes later, but I can't help it, I am sentimental about things like this). I know this is not an LGBT movie or a popular big budget american movie, or even a recent movie, but I think good movies do not need to be defined by age or frame of reference.
If Danial Radcliffe lost his Harry Potter Moniker with Kill Your Darlings in the US, I hope he lost the typecasting with his portrayal of Rudyard Kipling's son in
Just read an interest analysis on the Opinions of Justice Kennedy and Justice Scalia on Gay Marriage, including their mutually differen views on Confucius' words regarding marriage and the nature of the state.
Take a look if you are interested in another interesting perspective of Gay Marriage: http://thediplomat.com/2015/07/confucius-on-gay-marriage/
The author of the article has some things right on this; yes Confucius was probably the most tolerant of all the ancient philosopher/relig
No, I won't post images of the pre and post effects of trying out a clean look, site rules et al, Still, I just thought of sharing some thoughts on this practice.
As some of you know, I am starting to get more into exercising and running in general, so one thing I noticed was that I was getting sweaty in my crotch area a lot more. Well after a few days of thinking, I thought, why not shave some of the pubes off to reduce the heat build up, then I took the big dive and went all the way. Trad
Congratulations to everyone with Partners, who are getting ready to be hitched across all 50 States and US territories. This is a momentous victory, but one that must be tempered by rationalism. I will just give a quick breakdown on what the current landscape looks like.
Read if you want to hear politics and some pointed opinions.
Now, onto some good old fashioned story items:
I am writing something new called Blue Rose, the idea is inspired by the variations of Blue Roses
Writing is more than an exercise in your imagination; it is a meditation on creation and destruction, but not always good vs. evil.
I've come to realize that what I am aiming for in my story is not a traditional story of heroes and villains, but a story of three, maybe even four, potential directions.
Here's how the idea works, there are basically three sides in existence: Creation, Destrucion, and Transition.
On a theological level, since I am musing on Eastern Theology and even por
In modern civilizations, we hold ourselves as "enlightened" and above the old crimes of the past. Yet as recent history would tell us, such claims are haphazard. Lewis Sinclair would say, "Now is the fact that can't be dodged", because we have a tragic issue beyond just a few isolated cases. There is a terminal illness inside the experiment of free democratic societies.
No matter how long we struggle, how true our cause, or how noble our sacrifices; somethings persist in society, an "open so
Lots of stuff has changed in the last 4 months: I have left my old job and have moved to a new company. I am getting paid more working as a corporate accountant for an insurer, but I felt more drained and lost ever since I got this new job. I have done a lot in health care, a lot in finance, but there is something so mechanical and dehumanizing with the insurance industry. I don't know what it is, but I think I can understand why Brad Pitt started a Fight Club Revolution now
I have been sor
The honest truth about being single, legally blind, and gay is that it is hard to remain optimistic about your prospects in love as you continue on the trek to find the right guy. Sex does not drive my interest in guys, so that kills 70% of the dating scene, and I have to "come out" to them about my own issues from the low field vision.
I don't hate any of the guys I date either, it's just that much harder to really put yourself out there as you lose another bit of yourself. They are decent
Months of inactivity is over, real life is a bitch (why do we use such a misogynistic terms to denote a bad experience in the first place?), but it passes.
Let's see some updates on my life, I am still employed, I am still a homeowner with a decen sized mortgage, and still quite alone as a gay man in his late 20's. Nthing has changed in the last 3 months concerning my life.
As for my writing, I have been holding off for so long, but I want to get back to it again. Between my grandmother
I'm not black, I'm not White. I am just a Chinese boy, who happens to like boys and is blind in one eye. Being gay and blind is already a rarity, race for me usually does not become a major subject. Yet, I know there is racism in the world; especially in the deep south.
My oldest childhood friend is black; we're both blind in one eye and we're both highly intelligent. (I have a 132 IQ, he has 138). However, our lives diverge from there. While I got my Masters' degree and currently make upper
This movie makes me feel so happy and depressed, because gay guys deal with a lot of these issues of moving on after a relationship. Yeah, most of us don't have to face the death of our partner, when we separate, but the same issues persists that "Yossi" highlights.
I'm not going to give you guys a full synopsis or plot overview: I will simply say this; after Yossi lost Lior/Jagger, he became a workaholic doctor and has a lot of issues with his sexuality, guilt over his dead lover, and simpl
I am bias about this movie, I really liked it as an 18 year old trying to figure himself out, and as a 27 year old, I still like it, because it is relevant to our times, which is quite sad and tragic.
I am going to leave my commentaries about Israel and its military towards the end of this review:
Plot:
Yossi is an Israeli military commander and Lior,, his subordinate and a team leader nicknamed Jagger due to his handsome looks, are in a budding gay closeted relationship on a Lebanon
