Seriously, after reading about how bad the South has taken "Winter", I am quite surprised and shocked at how people don't get common sense concepts to us New Englanders.
So, I thought I would share some basic winter tips from New Englanders to GA members down south, so you guys don't become stuck:
1. Take your time and don't rush, when walking- I know Southerners might never heard of the dreaded "black Ice" that we have in Boston and New York, but Ice can be invisible to the eye and on s
Well, life is pleasant though a bit boring.
I am watching the NFL playoffs and enjoying my leisure time, but I have not forgotten about my story.
I can't wait to watch the Colts vs. Pats game tonight, it will be epic in the mud (we have a big rain storm in the northeast right now, the snow has melted into the ground and turned it into mud. If this gets as ugly and slippery as I thought, then I want to name this the Mud Bowl! Some Straight guys like seeing two girls mud wrestling and gett
So I was looking up the Twilight Zone and came upon this episode clip of the 1985 series. I never watched the 1980's series, because it came before I was born and the classics in the 1960's series to me are far better in terms of the Twilight Zone stories. However, I was drawn to this one, since it was based off a story from Arthur C. Clarke. Clarke was influenced by Eastern thought and the cycle of Creation/Destruction are prominent in this story.
I watched it and felt sort of conflicted by

I sure wish I could have a puppy pal to snuggle with on Christmas:
And we should all have a big musical number
I finished writing my Christmas story and while writing it, I expressed some stuff that has been festering in me for a while.

In terms of my faith, I really can't be considered a mainline Christian, because to me, I think Christianity as it is in today's religion is incredibly diluted and deluded.
I don't like how Christianity has taken the route of power by manipulating political figures and movements, creating strife
I think GA writers will get a good amount of inspiration from this factoid, it also shows one very interesting truth about human beings. We are in many ways conditioned and controlled despite our own beliefs in individuality:
Blink 182- Won't Be Home for Christmas was one of my favorites for a long time; irreverent, edgy, and real
It's a good song for all the opposite reasons that Christmas Shoes is good song to me. I like Music that is deep and emotional or Irreverent and satirical. It complements my personality traits; I am very traditional conservative guy, but I also have extremely Socially Liberal views and aggressive opinions. I'm not Bipolar, just a quirky guy with a taste for opposition.

Alright, after a few days of tear jerking, instead of my usual kind of jerking I started to research the history of the song that was recommended to me by my Youtube (I was browsing Christmas songs for new things, Clarkson's "Grown up Christmas List" is on my playlist as well). I found out it is ranked as the worst Christmas song ever by several people and Gawker.com
As a gay man, yes, overly Christian dogma is scary, but I really don't get that from this song even though the band th
I just went through my annual performance review, today. I didn't know what to expect to be honest; I knew I did well, kept costs down, increased cash overall by about 35%, and made some damn good projections of receivables based on historical data. I also maintained a tight leash on state based tax agencies and hounded them for refunds due to technicalities of our rate adjustment versus their standard rate that we were automatically paying based on employees. (Tax stuff, but basically, if an em
I know, it's been only two weeks, but I had to stop writing as I wanted to create a few degrees of separation between my fiction and my dream world. I have stopped dreaming about President Obama's assassination, which is a relief (Unless, it comes true, but I am not Christopher Walken )
Today marks the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination, so I will give the man his due and a moment of silence as a fellow New Englander...

Okay ladies and Gentlemen,
I might be a little late, but I do want to try this again: Also, as advised, I must state this is an unofficial Holiday Contest done by authors outside of GA admin, it is not being administrated by GA admins.

Fuck, this is starting to go down Twilight Zone territory. I am still having those dreams and it is getting more vivid. I also just read what next Friday marks; it's too much of a coincidence that I am getting these dreams now.
Next Friday marks the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy's Assassination.
I will admit, I am dreaming that someone is going to assassinate President Obama. In my dream, it is someone disenfranchised by the recent Great Recession, who is part of the underemploye
I had a real vivid dream last night that I felt was so real. I want to write about it, but there's a part of me that wants to bury it, deep in my subconscious. It is not sexual in any shape or form, there are no GLBT people as far as I could tell.
Still, the dream is going to be controversial as a story. The subject is not forbidden or taboo, but if it comes true, I will sound like psychic. When it comes to politics in my active mind, I can pick winners and losers, strife and peace, but in m
I wish this movie can be discussed outside my blog, but I fear it will start up a controversy and go into politics.
There are a lot of words to be said about this movie: Brutal, uncompromising, and gritty.
The GA community may little note or care about this movie, but I hope that there are a few that may take it up for viewing. The realism is scary, because even when viewing it from an unaligned viewpoint like mine, I could see how American society could have voluntarily accepted slavery

Kitt gave me the idea about exploring my supporting characters and the reality that I am building in Causality. I also thought, since this is a story with references to relics of the past, why not open up with a story about the past of a supporting character.
Jack Amos had a short Cameo in Chapter 4, but his story as I played it out in my head is quite interesting. It also highlights some of the ke
I am going to post the new chapter of Causality tomorrow. I have 2nd draft version that I am sending over to Kitt again for edits (I wanted to give as much thought as I could to this chapter). It's a one off story, but it might be interesting and help give readers an understanding of the dynamics within Causality's universe and our own world.
Hope you guys like what comes out and stay tuned.
As for other odds and ends: I probably should mention it, since I had originally signaled this wo
I am writing something special for it, it will appear next Friday.
There's something I've been meaning to do with the story that I always admired about good epic storytellers, the subplots. Of course, good subplots must be evocative and creative.

I will freely admit, a certain green fellow on this forum made was on my mind, when I chose to write a Zombie story.
I have seen many zombie movies in recent years; they are the best social commentary devices, second only to Star Trek strangely enough Currently Walking Dead has the best cast, writers, and overall feel to a zombie story and I know I can't equal it in a short story, so I want to go another quieter route for a zombie story.
I know Jamessavik is writing Case Black, so I am
Based on my reviews, yes I am a Batman and DC fanboy (I will do Marvel from time to time, I like the Hulk storyline and Marvel CCivil War storyline between Capt. America vs. Iron Man's factions)
However, when it comes to Cartoons, I prefer DC and here's a good example why: Batman: Under the Red Hood

I thought I would review a classic, something many of today's kids and even GA's readers will not know about.

I want to congratulate the state on being the 14th to have gay marriage.
Gov. Christie stopped his legal challenge, so the way is now clear.
Technically, I know he's not a gay rights' supporter or even advocate, but at the very least, he stopped fighting it and let the course of history be the judge. It might cost him the Republican Nomination for President, but he has my praise at least for being a leader with some balls to take on things he doesn't agree with, but his constituents over

Time to get into the case, but first, we must get into a little more complexity.
There's a lot of set up here and some interesting things to think about for the next few chapters.
You get to learn more about Sid, Alex, and Patrick, plus flow through their psychological issues surrounding the past, present, and future
Also, since I was told I should not use too many non-english scripts too much, I had to adjust the story. Spa
