Still having those dreams and now I know what next friday marks!

Fuck, this is starting to go down Twilight Zone territory. I am still having those dreams and it is getting more vivid. I also just read what next Friday marks; it's too much of a coincidence that I am getting these dreams now.   Next Friday marks the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy's Assassination.   I will admit, I am dreaming that someone is going to assassinate President Obama. In my dream, it is someone disenfranchised by the recent Great Recession, who is part of the underemploye

Is a Dream a premonition? Should I write about it?

I had a real vivid dream last night that I felt was so real. I want to write about it, but there's a part of me that wants to bury it, deep in my subconscious. It is not sexual in any shape or form, there are no GLBT people as far as I could tell.   Still, the dream is going to be controversial as a story. The subject is not forbidden or taboo, but if it comes true, I will sound like psychic. When it comes to politics in my active mind, I can pick winners and losers, strife and peace, but in m

12 Years A Slave: That is one Brutally Good Movie

I wish this movie can be discussed outside my blog, but I fear it will start up a controversy and go into politics.   There are a lot of words to be said about this movie: Brutal, uncompromising, and gritty.   The GA community may little note or care about this movie, but I hope that there are a few that may take it up for viewing. The realism is scary, because even when viewing it from an unaligned viewpoint like mine, I could see how American society could have voluntarily accepted slavery

Chapter 4.1 of Causality live!

It's here and it's Queer sub-chapter   https://www.gayauthors.org/story/w-l/Causality/6   Kitt gave me the idea about exploring my supporting characters and the reality that I am building in Causality. I also thought, since this is a story with references to relics of the past, why not open up with a story about the past of a supporting character.   Jack Amos had a short Cameo in Chapter 4, but his story as I played it out in my head is quite interesting. It also highlights some of the ke

Story Update and comment on the ongoing Republican Civil War

I am going to post the new chapter of Causality tomorrow. I have 2nd draft version that I am sending over to Kitt again for edits (I wanted to give as much thought as I could to this chapter). It's a one off story, but it might be interesting and help give readers an understanding of the dynamics within Causality's universe and our own world.   Hope you guys like what comes out and stay tuned.   As for other odds and ends: I probably should mention it, since I had originally signaled this wo

No Causality, Read Hallowwen Stories, and New Event Details for Holidays

I am writing something special for it, it will appear next Friday.   There's something I've been meaning to do with the story that I always admired about good epic storytellers, the subplots. Of course, good subplots must be evocative and creative.   If you need to get a fix for something paranormal or spiritual please check out the Halloween stories:   2. Ghost- Thorn Wilde   3. Mad Scientist- Scotty94   4. Vampire- aditus   5. Slasher- joann414     6. Cemetery- Rustie   7. Zom

Zombies: My Halloween Story

I will freely admit, a certain green fellow on this forum made was on my mind, when I chose to write a Zombie story.   I have seen many zombie movies in recent years; they are the best social commentary devices, second only to Star Trek strangely enough Currently Walking Dead has the best cast, writers, and overall feel to a zombie story and I know I can't equal it in a short story, so I want to go another quieter route for a zombie story.   I know Jamessavik is writing Case Black, so I am

Batman Under the Red Hood Review: An example on what American Animated movies can still do versus their Live action counterparts

Based on my reviews, yes I am a Batman and DC fanboy (I will do Marvel from time to time, I like the Hulk storyline and Marvel CCivil War storyline between Capt. America vs. Iron Man's factions)   However, when it comes to Cartoons, I prefer DC and here's a good example why: Batman: Under the Red Hood   The wiki has spoilers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_Under_the_Red_Hood   The Plot summary is very obvious to most Comic book readers, but the short version is simple: the 2nd Robi

Retro Cartoon Review: BTAS Appointment in Crime Alley, the perfect episode

I thought I would review a classic, something many of today's kids and even GA's readers will not know about.   Here is a link to the show, but there are commercials (Still worth it for the wonderful episode and story)   http://www.thewb.com/shows/batman-the-animated-series/appointment-in-crime-alley/f3d24d04-d421-4790-bb86-eb6e72336ae2   General Plot (Spoilers):   Daggett, a corrupt real estate developer, is hatching a plan to blow up a slum called Crime Alley, which is home to thugs, d

Congratulation New Jersey on being the 14th State

I want to congratulate the state on being the 14th to have gay marriage.   Gov. Christie stopped his legal challenge, so the way is now clear.   Technically, I know he's not a gay rights' supporter or even advocate, but at the very least, he stopped fighting it and let the course of history be the judge. It might cost him the Republican Nomination for President, but he has my praise at least for being a leader with some balls to take on things he doesn't agree with, but his constituents over

Chapter 3 is Live, No politics in this entry :P

http://www.gayauthors.org/forums/story/w-l/Causality/4   Time to get into the case, but first, we must get into a little more complexity.   There's a lot of set up here and some interesting things to think about for the next few chapters.   You get to learn more about Sid, Alex, and Patrick, plus flow through their psychological issues surrounding the past, present, and future   Also, since I was told I should not use too many non-english scripts too much, I had to adjust the story. Tea Party Movement and the Red Guard of the Cultural Revolution

Side Note before my comparison:   I have seriously been considering moving to Australia (Graeme, I am looking at Perth, don't worry I won't move next door. ) My sister is over there now and the job opportunities are more lucrative for Accountants, plus I have a certain interest in Australian boys. Still it is only exploratory at the moment   Besides, I think I can adjust to Australian Politics far better than Canadian (We won't have Hockey fist fights) _____________________   As a Chin

How the US Government in theory works?

There was a funny conversation I had today about future Republican Presidential nominees. Ted Cruz would probably be the worst and long shot in the mix, while New Jersey Governor Christie has a shot.   The conversation then went into a tangent on why the Democrats are not putting more pressure on Christie; it is a Blue state, Republicans are ebbing in the polls, and Democrats could win back the NJ Governor's mansion?   I contended that the Democratic Party understands something about RealPol

Are we all Zombies?

No, I am not looking at our Green googly eyes friend from the UK   I've been thinking about the concept of a zombie and writing the horror story for the Halloween story writing prompt that I started a few weeks ago.   I am feeling like my life is on autopilot a lot; I work, I eat, I watch senseless TV series, and I sleep. Sometimes, I write, which opens up my imagination, but on days without writing I feel extremely empty and purposeless. Even with writing, I still feel a bit empty, just no

Alright Back to Writing: Chapter 2 is now live

https://www.gayauthors.org/story/w-l/Causality   Some good things to think about:   1. Yes, Chinese hell is much more Bureaucratic than punishment based. Our mythology is closer to Ancient Greek and Roman than Judeo-Christian. It's a holding point for reincarnation; you wait for your turn to come back in a long line.   2. So, what's up with Sid and his alter-ego? You should be asking a second question, where did I come up with his name? That will give you a big hint as to his character arc

Good news on Grams, Finally

Maybe it was the fact that Massachusetts has an agency that watches for elder abuse, maybe it is the potential negative press on the Building manager, or it could be dumb luck.   The Jerk got a call from the the state government, inquiring on the issue, and he promptly gave my grandma a 1 year lease   Phew, for a moment there I thought I'd have to write an Op-Ed piece about the Government Shutdown and Elderly 85 year old getting toss into the streets. I am not a liberal policymaker, but eve

American Debt: 16.738 Trillion Outstanding 11.976 Trillion "Public"

Here's some updates:   Nothing good on my Grandma's eviction, SSA still is closed so I cannot get her benefit verification. The Housing Administrator still refuses to negotiate (I am this close to writing an editorial in the Boston Globe, damn it I don't want to be labelled as that Gay RINO, but if I have no other choice, I would rather choose family )   I am very pissed off, but what got me to write this is not anger, but fear. Republican members in the US House are openly suggesting to not

Where I am, Where we are heading

After some rest and some evil plotting from me with my new story ....I feel a little less angry, but it is still there.   My grandma's problems have not ended, my feeling of betrayal has not subsided, and my anger directed towards the Tea Party movement will probably not diminish.   Honestly, I don't know where I am in terms of my life or politics. I hate what the Tea Party movement has done to my party; I warned as many people back in 2010 that it's a mistake, but few people listened to me

Pro's and Con's: My day

Okay, I should first announce that my new story's 1st chapter is going live tonight. It's definitely a love child of passion, interest, and even a bit of comedy I could not have done this without Kitt's help in editing.   https://www.gayauthors.org/story/w-l/Causality/2 That's the Pro of my day, next comes all the Cons:   Son of Bitch! is all I can say about my grandmother's housing administrator. An 85 year old woman is likely to be evicted from her home in the next two weeks, because she

The Shutdown and Me

I've seen enough to make up my mind about this shit.   Alright, most of the people around GA have only mentioned news stories or circumstantial issues with the government shutdown, let me give you all a real life experience, but first let me lay down three points:   1. I have never been a fan of the Tea Party. The members of the GA Soapbox and GA Right Forum can attest to this fact.   2. I am actually applauding President Obama's no negotiation stance. He is showing courage and leadership.

Tired of hearing the same things

Here's my take on the US situation:   Something has to give in the US:   It's political in-fighting every night. Come on, as a society, this type of stuff has to be settled once and for all.   If a government shutdown occurs, then the US defaults, let's see what happens:   "If" the prediction of doom and gloom are over-dramatized by political pundits and news reporters, then we know that not all government operations are necessary, nor is our business relations dependent on a Federal gov

An interesting thought: Emotional Paradoxes

I was surfing around the web and came upon an interesting quote that touched my heart:   It's about a guy, who can not love, so must let that person go. Yet, paradoxically, if he could start the entire thing over again, he'd love this person with all his heart.   "if you can't give happiness to the person you love, you should let them go. But if we can start over, I would choose to keep you, use all my strength, and give you happiness."   I like emotional paradoxes; it reveals more about
