The Shadow Boys One: A Conversation In Heaven

I found the place hidden at the end of that alley. Twelve Shadow Place, a small theater that went by the name Shadow Theater. The place had definitely seen better days. The gold paint on the door was chipping and the box office glass was cracked. The marquee read

THE SHADOW BOYS

EXCLUSIVE ONE NIGHT ENGAGEMENT

My boyfriend had sent me a letter asking me to meet him here. I anxiously paced back and forth this place was giving me the creeps. There was no one here. In fact I had seen no one on the road as I came to this place.

I paced wondering where my boyfriend could be. I should have never come but something told me that I should, so I drove an hour out of my way in hopes that my boyfriend had something romantic planned.

Just when I had enough and was ready to leave the doors opened. A small man in a tuxedo came out. He handed me a program and motioned for me to go inside.

Green, well done, I found this very interesting. I think I would have liked more detail rather then dialogue, but it worked and that

Green,

That sent shivers up my spine and made me cry. It reminded me somewhat of Mitch Albom's book, "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" but your story is its own story and well done. I hope you post more chapters. I want to see what happens to Connor in his new life. I am wondering is he returning to his old life or a new one?

And will Connor be Gay?

You are a great writer. Thanks for sharing this genre of story with us:)

Heya Green!

That was a fabulous story....I thought it was like a story within a story within a story. Sorta like a chinese puzzle box.

In the place of the twelve shadows there is an other shadow and within that shadow, there are multiple shadows. It's a place where what you see is not what you think you see and what you see is not necessarily what you get.

This line really got me...

"Sometimes life is not about what is said or what we face."

In the story, I saw Connor living his life, taking one step forward and two steps back. He was avoiding those who wanted to get close to him but when he decided to take two steps forward, no one was around for him.

And after he took that fateful decision, he was given another decision...whether to go back and relive that moment and take it back or whether to get a new life.

Hmmm...I wonder if Connor would have chosen to relive that moment, if he had known that his new life was going to be his old one. He had limited information and made his decision based on that imformation. I wonder if he would change the way he lived his life and intead of taking the two steps back, he embraced it or if he repeated the same old patterns.

Or maybe I'm over thinking it...

Looking forward to the next story in the series Green

I think Conner made the right chooice because he gets to now redo his whole life over and fix all the mistakes he made. I guess what would make the difference is if he actual gets to retain all the memories he had during his first run. If not then isn't this like his hell? Becasue he would be suck reliving his live exactly the same as he did before? If so then does he get a second chance and would he mee that same guy again.

I guess he would end up in a loop... oh thanks a lot Bev, now I'm the one over thinking it. :lmao:

Thanks Bard...oh wait...that wasn't meant as a compliment was it? Usually I am accused of thinking shallow and meaningless thoughts as opposed to deep and meaningful ones. Hehehe.

Now back to the story...

if he actual gets to retain all the memories he had during his first run.

I think he gets his memories back because of the last thing Connor said.

"Hi Connor I'm Your mommy," she said. I was given my old life back.
I would love to know what happens next but will Green tell us? I don't think so... this story is meant to stand alone.

Green, I like your current cover for the story. I just found, IMHO, that it fit perfectly. Whatever you decide is cool. You are the author:)
