Yay Or Neigh For 'punk Bitch?'

I'm still feeling regret over my US Marines and Gay Marriage Mock-up. Not a good idea as I have learnt.

But what I'm still tossing my head around over is the term 'punk bitch'.

Firstly, what does it mean? Similar to my other phrases such as 'crazy goon' and 'silly sausage', it is intended to be a slightly more assertive way of saying how much of how liberal you are. It could also mean how awesome you are too. It could potentially be insulting, which is where the controversy starts.

Many people love the term 'Punk Bitch'. Some however don't, particularly women. If me using this has offended you, I am sorry. That was never my intention.

The whole debacle I had two days ago with my mockery has been hard for me as I'm having to face backlash as a consequence. I guess another consequence is that my personality is stripped by a fraction and now I can't express what I think as much as I would like to anymore. I'm more afraid to use the term 'Punk Bitch' now, because it could make my situation worse.

I want an honest opinion. Who likes it, who doesn't? Or do you not care either way.

Could your opinion change if I told you Comicality loved the term so much that he's going to use it in one of his stories?

Let me know and I'll take a poll. Reply with: Like it, Hate it or Don't care.

As much as I love Comsie, I think it's a stupid phrase and the B term is demeaning to women. So NAY.

BTW: The terminology originated in prison. Not an ideal source for inspiration.

It does not bother me. It is a very strong one dementional statement. If this is the best phrase that encapsulates you keep it, if not find something else.

Hate it.

It has it's origins in prison. It refers to a small inmate who is terrified and used for sex by other inmates.

In society it is like calling someone a little faggit whore.

You answered your own question, Jordan. You recognize that it could be offensive to some... especially women. As Cia said, use it at appropriate times, in a story, for example, but as your banner, knowing that it has offensive connotations, seems deliberately antagonizing. I'm all for free speech, and freedom of expression, but this is a community that wants to put its best foot forward at all times. A community, I might add, that you get a lot from. You owe it to yourself and others to protect its image to newcomers, just like the rest of us. People can handle all kinds of things as long as they're not shoved in their face. I really think by asking the question, you already know the answer, and informing us that one other person likes it, means nothing in the scheme of things. I'm sure lots may like it... that's not the point... Cheers... Gary

I can see that you are really struggling to find your place here.  While I haven't read all of your postings, I've read enough to make me think that a lot of what you post is intended to draw attention.

As for the 'punk bitch' phrase, I personally don't care for it, but I understand if it is a phrase that you identify with and use with friends and such.  Maybe because I'm a female and this particular word comes across as rude, but f***, s**t, and a** don't bother me (probably because they aren't gender specific to me).  I don't like derogatory words for other races or sexualities either (even if someone uses it to describe themselves).  Therefore, I try to ignore it as best as I can.

I use 'curse' words all the time in my writing, but I don't use them in status updates or in general posts.  In stories and in blogs, people have a choice of whether to click on them to read them.  Posting in status updates, the gallery, or general postings (ie. commenting on posts in the community), however, is visible to everyone, and it is not something I can 'avoid' seeing as they are often right there on the front pages of the Forums, especially when you use all caps—it's like you are screaming it at me.

That being said, I would recommend refraining from using that phrase (or offensive ones in general) in status updates, comments on posts in the forums, or in titles of your blogs.  Then those who don't care for the phrase aren't blasted with it every time they open the Forums page.  Maybe it would be best to use it in your stories or inside your blogs (I'm sure most of us realize by now that we might see it there) as those are places where we have a choice whether or not to read it.

Take your own advice and lay low for a while. Continuing to do stupid stuff like this is just going to make people despise you more than they already do.

Dislike it a great deal. The B word is not only used as derogitory towards women, but towards those others feel are smaller, weaker, insignificent. It should only be used to describe a female dog of breeding age.
