Prompt Me!

Wow, this month just seems to be flying by. Here we are at another Friday, and that means it is once again prompt time. Just remember if you decide to write a story and it is under one thousand words you must make it part of a collection.

I don't want to keep anyone in suspense so here are this week's prompts.

Prompt 474 – Creative
Tag – List of Words
Use the following words in a story – a historic document, a reporter, a lunch bag, a rat, and a rose tattoo.

Prompt 475 – Creative
Tag – Sweet Seduction
A new bakery has opened up in town. Everyone is talking about how good the baked goods are. They seem to make everything from rolls, bread, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and new concoctions seem to appear on their shelves daily. A side affect seems to be the number of people falling in love or getting their relationships back on track. What is happening at Sweet Seduction Bakery?

Hopefully one or the other will tickle people's interest. Now let me present a story created from last week's prompts.

There were three vastly different takes on the first line prompt. JohnAR gave a new chapter from his Metaverse.

“When did you expect me to get that done?” the tattoo artist challenged the guy he was working on. “We’ll finish this today and we’ll do your ‘lucky number’ another day!”

The jock with the too wide chin grunted partly out of pain, partly out of annoyance not getting all the tattoos he wanted done today.

The buzzing noise of the needle made Colt shiver, cold sweat collecting on his back in the chilly store. He’d never been a fan of needles – where there actually fans?

The college boy in the gynecologist-look-alike chair had his quite muscly right calf about half in the air, so the artist could render his interpretation of a football – the only tattoo that would be done today.

‘How imaginative,’ Colt hissed in his mind. College boy was cute to watch how he contorted his slightly baby-fat face to deal with the pain. He guessed the football player occupied a defensive position given his bulk. And he guessed he wanted his jersey number immortalized on his wide chest.

Curious as to what was going on? Want to read more? Of course you do. You can find the rest of the story here - https://www.gayauthors.org/story/johnar/metaprompts/53

So that is the prompts for this week. Remember to read, write, and comment. Until next time, be safe!
