Writing Prompts #620 & #621

Hope everyone has had a great week so far. It's time for this weeks writing prompts. If you're stuck, or you're considering writing for the first time, these might be perfect for you. Don't forget that stories under 1,000 words must be posted as part of a collection.

Prompt 620 – Creative

Tag – List of Words

Use the following words in a story – tablet, phone, a sandwich, a pen, and an ambulance

Prompt 621 – Challenge

Tag – Country Western

Authors can get stuck writing in the same style. Your challenge is to fit within this theme. Focus on the setting and having your characters come to life.

Did you write a prompt response last week? Don't forget to share it below.

Have you done challenges before?  I think that's a good idea!

We have, but they're just not as common as the others.

Yes. Challenges appear every now and again. Past challenges include a mystery, describing something without naming it, and others. A challenge is usually a chance to focus on an aspect of your craft you might ignore or try something you've never done before. Enjoy.

I've been known to see things and forget em..  Country western ... i guess that's open to interpretation.  I've written western based things before but no here on GA ... oh i'll see what i can think up ... thank you and @Renee Stevens

The last two freestanding prompts I've done are challenges. 'Write from the point of view of a pile of paper next to a shredder.' and 'Write a scene where you can't see anything.' Both challenging, and the second case, produced one of my best pieces of writing, Night Thoughts.
