I wonder if you are the same as me. Do you like being lied to on a consistent basis? I think not!!

So why do we plan our days according to the local weather person? All week up to and including last night and this morning, they said this Labour Day Long Weekend would be mainly sunny with a chance of brief showers on Monday. Fair enough. So this morning, I get up, shower, put on suntan lotion because the also said the UV Index was going to be high. Dress in shorts, t-shirt and sandals and off I go to my 3 nephews separate flag football games. I can't get any parking near, and with me in a temp prosthetic that hurts to walk in, I make the long trek to the bleachers. Well guess what? Half way though the first game, the skies open up, it is a downpour. Fair enough, it should be over quickly. No, for 4 freaking hours it is a downpour. Luckily I had two nephews to send to go find my car and dig our a rain coat and umbrella for me :P

But all in all, I really have no beef with the weather as I know somewhere in the world, this is just a minor problem to me and there are, or going to be, people that will be facing life threatening weather events themselves. So I shall suck it up and say my thoughts are for the rest of you that maybe are or will be in intimate danger

Now shall we look at what happened over the past week!

I have an umbrella that my husband got me last year when I started my AM walks (because you can NEVER trust the forecast here either) that has strings attached to the carry sleeve so I can wear it like a backpack. Which totally came in useful because we had a 'it might sprinkle' forecast one day this week and there were thunderstorms and drenching rain for hours. Yeah. So on the nose there. And so summer-like for my last week of summer-break before school starts on Tuesday. We went from low 70s, to upper 90s, to low 60s with thunderstorms, back to 80s. Just life in the Pacific NW! Woot!
