The word after Heifer in the Merriam-Webster dictionary is, wait for it, Heiferette.

Heiferette is a large, heavy heifer nearly the size of a mature cow.

Not to be outdone, the noun suffix -ette, means: little one, as in kitchenette, so in a sense, a heiferette could be a small (dwarf?) heifer; or, female, as in farmerette, except farmer, by definition, isn't necessarily masculine.

I used to like to remind @Krista that she was the mother to quite a few heifers. For some reason she didn't appreciate it

And talk about perfect timing, when I collected my mail today, I had a letter from Heifer International.  It's a non-profit charity whose goal in ending hunger and poverty.  Not sure how they decided to name this organization, but their timing was perfect with today's "Word of the Day".

Those perfect timing things are getting a little eerie. This makes two.

IS THIS WHAT YOU'VE DONE? Is this why you've been asking me if I've been on GA lately with a little Halo emoji? I KNEW it wasn't anything good.
