First time driving in Dallas

Today I went on an adventure. Before I left Kansas, my cousin wrecked my car. The car was a total loss, and I had to get another one. I found a car. However, in order to get there, we had to go north of Dallas. In fact it was the next town, Carrollton. I ended up buying a 1996 Buick LeSabre, and I love it! I did not drive to Dallas, but I did drive back to Waxahachie. I was nervous. The largest city I had driven in was Kansas City, Missouri. Just to put it into prospective, Dallas has a population larger than the entire county in which Kansas City is. In fact, you can probably add Johnson County, Kansas's population to that of Jackson County, Missouri and still have less population than the city of Dallas. Thus, the traffic was a lot heavier than what I am used to. However, other than going a little slow, I think I did fairly well. There are several loops, and I stayed in I-35 E all the way back to Waxahachie. Now I am home safe and sound, and I have a car that I love. :music:

Tigger-

If you've got to get around in a huge city like DFW, get one of those Garmin GPS gadgets.

Driving is nothing. Knowing where you are going is the real trick.

Well, I was only drinking on I-35. There are times when staying on I-35 is confusing if you don't pay attention. If you get into the wrong lane, you're screwed. Honestly, I intend not to drive there as a general rule. :P

Oh great. Another guy in a Buick driving slow on the freeway screwing up traffic. :P

Hope you enjoyed your outing in the big city Tiger. Now back to the jungle with you!.

I'll drive faster next time. As far as the jungle, it's far away, south of Mexico. I don't feel like going. :P
