Lacey and Tim are both right. You don't need this on your record and it certainly can't be called entertainment. Your obligation to your friend was only to tell him he was doing something dangerous. You didn't need to enlist assistance from anyone else. You hurt your friend by telling the wrong person and hurt him again by assaulting his boyfriend.

I can't say that I disagree that you probably shouldn't have told the secret (although it sounds like exactly the situation I tend to get myself into) but... that doesn't excuse what the other guy did in texting abuse and, whilst I think you probably should have given him a chance to apologise first

I think Chase was trying to protect his friend and his reasons for telling were pure. Not the best decision, but pure nonetheless. That guy who was texting Chase is the douche! I'm sorry but I dont think Chase was in the wrong. He told the friend with good intentions. When she told it got blown way outta proportion. Someone jumped into something that they didnt even know exactly what was going on. Ran his mouth. And got what he deserved. So I know that me and my friends would probably do the same thing.
