You need serious help, dude! :P

I take it "words" is to be given very wide scope. B)

e.g. bot as in short for robot; slang for botany?

You missed...

rob - to steal

Bert and Tob are names

roe as in fish eggs

Boer - a South African of Dutch extraction.

rot - decay

bort - a low quality diamond; when granulated, it's used as an abrasive

orb - a sphere

erb - as in herb, the h is silent anyway

Conner

P.S. You win. No one wants to play now. :P

No abbreviations (CIO, NOI, etc.), no proper names (Clio), no non-English words (but Old English words are included). Some are pretty obscure, but... meh!

My last name offers fewer words:

Kelly:

elk

key

ley

lye

ye

That's quite the list for a 5-letter name. :2thumbs: My favourite is loin. Great word. 0:)

I believe you meant no "acronyms". An abbreviation could have been lino for linoleum. Don't fret, I'm picking fights with everyone today!! :2hands:

Oh, I definitely feel embarrassed for missing the three you identifed -- they are obvious in hindsight. But I have a science background -- erg is something I knew....

Now that that is out of the way... where is the Conner list?

I'm here just as an observer. :P

The erg has pretty much been replaced by the joule. So I understand.
