I would. Incest is not something that particularly turns me on, but I don't mind it. So long as it is consentual, I don't see anything wrong with it.

I can't do rape anyways. I will mention it in my stories, or have my characters rp it out in some of my BDSM stories, but I won't do any actual rape. It makes me shudder and remember things best left in the dark recess of my mind.

Though...my friend has already offered to tear apart my story before I send it off to moonwolf (since I'm so horrible with real names).

 

That's actually quite common. They call it Stockholm syndrome. It is not at all unusual for a person to fall in love with a perpetrator. Eventually the victim sees a system of rewards and wants to please the perpetrator. I can be to the point where the victim will kill for him or her.

Saying that, I have never had any problem reading stories that contain incest. The only incest that troubles me, as Graeme put it, is rape or non-consensual and cross-generational. But that is true with all types of sex for me. I cannot bear to read/see cross-generational or non-consensual sex.

 

I would read it too, if the focus was not primarily on sex.

 

Like BSK, rape and non-consensual incest are a no-no for me. Cross generational has never been a problem for me unless one of the other characters is a minor (especially an preteens - pedophilia which is just plain wrong).

 

However, given that as homosexuals, we do not have a practical purpose of the incest taboo. Taboo is there for the reason that children born out of incest have a higher tendency of recessive traits showing up. We obviously can't impregnate each other, so...

 

Anyway, I have to admit though that gay sibling incest sounds waaay better to me than, say, father-son or uncle-nephew relationships.

 

As for BDSM, not my thing, but have no problems with it morally.

I totally agree with you,, incest is some taboo because of the problem of the children. when we can't have kid, well it's a non issue. it's just shaking off other mentality.

Lol I know it's a double standard, but more of erm the twin not touching the other twin.

 

For most parts I don't read just sex stories, I usally read hs and College age stories that do have some sex, or non at all. think it has to depends how it's written.

It was very odd, not the acts themselves, but how the main characters reacted, but then again my parents never raised me to like my sister in that way lmfao.

As it is I can barely withstand het stories, I can't imagine reading Male to Female incest my self. And the father/son incest, I do admit makes me twitch, but there are some pairing that are my secret pleasure, but that's for fanfictions only.

But then again, that's just me.

Okay, this has been bugging me left and right since I started writing a series of one shots. Most of them include incest, but its been kinda hard to find some one to edit/beta them (until I came here that is), so I've been wondering, are there actual people who read stories with incest?

I guess it depends on what comes to mind when you say incest. I just don't get the parent child thing, I can't imagine how that happens how the normal parent child relationship gets twisted around.

 

Now two brothers experimenting when they are teens or pre-teens, yeah I get how that happens and that doesn't seem odd and might even been more common than not.

 

But at the same time, I don't get or wouldn't get a boy experimenting with his sister, I just didn't grow up that way thinking about my sisters. Flowers in the Attic made me very uncomfortable.

 

Cousins? I guess it depends on how close you both in terms of genetics (first cousin vs third cousin, etc) and how you were raised. I had first cousins I was raised around that were as close as brothers and sisters and I couldn't see them that way because of cultural taboos I suppose, but then there were some of the cousins I never saw except for every 2 - 4 years at family reunions and I didn't feel the same social constraints when it came to attraction (please note attraction, not action).

 

So what am I saying? I would have a hard time reading a story that put a positive light on an incestuous relationship in the parent child situation or opposite sex siblings. I would understand the usage of it as dramatic background to explain how someone developed.
