Mechanics 101 For 2/6

Comicality

Now, I'm thinking that this might be able to go either way, but I'm not exactly sure as to why though.

When spelling the word....is it....

'Judgment'

or

'Judgement'?

Is there an 'E', or isn't there? Because my spell check always catches it and tells me to take the 'E' out, but I could have SWORN that it was spelled with an 'E'!

Do I have this backwards? Or is it one of those words that can flip flop in spellings depending on where you are? Anybody have a ruling on this?

I've always spelled it WITH an E

Judgement

I guess maybe it just depends where your from? Idk

A HA!!! Ok, so I'm not totally crazy then! :)

Ps- Does that say Fag Hag Approved? ::Giggles:: Awesome!

I ran it through two spelling dictionaries to find out that judgment is an American spelling while judgement is a British spelling. The British tend to throw a number of extra letters into their words while we Americans, being lazy, try to shorten them the best we can. :P

Another example is the letter 'u' which the Brits tend to tuck into a number of words - arbour, behaviour, etc. I love the differences in spelling myself, as it reminds me that we live in different cultures even though we speak the same language. :)
