Enric Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) ch29: Quite kind I seem to not like Hammond. He, btw, is a Brit, not an American. Pierce. well. feels like incest, if one were to have sex with such a guy who had it with grandfather... btw, in those times as there were no systematical pension system, servants of elderly persons were always currying favor of potential younger employers. Mark possibly has that in mind... Edited October 28, 2009 by Enric
paya Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 How old is humphreys anyway? Younger than Granger? Humphreys and Fitzwilliam on one ship!
Mark Arbour Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 How old is humphreys anyway? Younger than Granger? Humphreys and Fitzwilliam on one ship! Captain Granger on the horizon! Just three more chapters! I hope Caroline will take Calvert on mercy... They should sit and talk. George and Caroline. And George and Calvert. Maybe Caroline, George and Calvert. Huh... a m
Tiger Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I would expect that Humphreys is actually a little older than Granger, maybe 23/24. I don't think I ever said specifically, though, so anyone out there who remembers, feel free to correct me. Where's Jeremy when you need him.
Mark M Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Chapter 29 was cool. Calverts back, not sure if i'm on his side, i liked travers, Caroline i just hate, her name her everthing about her for some reason i hate, like there's a big plot she's brewing. America eh? Interesting. Still i wonder why JP has not said anything of granger in Bloodlines....or why the two stories interconected, that'd be so cool. Anyway i await whatever is next as usual. I wonder what kind of post Granger will get. I hope for Ship of the Line anyway...or a Brig although a brig aint too much of an upg.

Cross posts are for poor soap operas or TV series on decline This may be a soap opera BUT not on decline! Moreover, this one is like "quality soap", no need to cross post.
Mark M Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Not sure i get what you mean by Coss post....i said this before??? :o ops. And no i agree definatly NOT on decline. lol
nightsky Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I'm glad you liked it! There are three chapters left to go. Glad I stumbled in here... and found out that there are three more chapters to go. I'll wait to start M&C until it's completed. I already zipped through the Gunroom and the Wardroom. is M&C the end of George's story? or will there be more?
Greybear Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I somehow doubt that M&C is the final story of George Granger. Mark wouldn't do that to us . . . would he?
Mark M Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I frankly don't think he could O.O!! but if he did....uh oh. But Granger Can only go so far.....then his next step would be like overthrowing the king or something which couldn't happen, if this is sorta directly related to historical events. I wouldn't mind being put in Travers Perspective and his adventures during this whole time he's been ignored, how is he hurting? how's Robbie? he think about granger as much as granger thinks about him(not much due to Calvert). I wonder what will be next. Seems Granger is about done with Intreped, whats next?
Mark Arbour Posted October 29, 2009 Author Posted October 29, 2009 Thanks for all your positive comments! To answer some of your questions: 1. Granger wouldn't be posted to a ship-of-the-line. That's a command for a very senior captain, and he's not even a captain yet. The next step up in ships would be a frigate. A brig would be a step DOWN from Intrepid, so we'll hope he doesn't go there. 2. I'm not sure about cross-posting. I have no plans to bring a link from Bridgemont into CAP via Max. 3. I've already started working on the sequel.
Mark M Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 (edited) Jealousy!!!!!! Whens the Premier! haha.....how about a title at least?!?!? hehehe But this is really wierd a Shooner is smaller then a brig is it not????? Well then....Frigate it is! by the way.....via MAX??? is it true your getting your characters confused?? we havent even heard of max or Marcel in this sory with Matt yet. The key word there would be "yet."
Enric Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Granger Can only go so far.....then his next step would be like overthrowing the king or something which couldn't happen, if this is sorta directly related to historical events. well, we have still lots of steps pretty available. Next would come 'Captain Granger' then 'Captain Granger in the Baltic' then 'Captain Granger and clones of East'... burp. Or, these sort of rubrics could go on and on and on - just as Tarzan (the Rt.Hon Lord Greystoke) kept finding yet one lost people or town more all the time. but available is also 'Admiral Granger and corsairs of hell', or at least something of 'Admiral Granger' then, our Granger does not need to supplant the king just in order to advance from captaincy, or even admiralty. He could become 'Ambassador Granger' besides evil smiley; it could happen that Granger gets sent to Canada - and that book would no doubt be titled 'Captain Granger and Apes of North' oops. I must have been thinking too much about that 'King of Apes' Other things which do not mean Granger need to supplant anyone, are a title of peerage

Tiger Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Well, it seems that Granger has met Alexander Hamilton. That was such an interesting meeting. Oh, and then there's his niece who really seems to fancy him. I wonder what she'll do if she sees Calvert as well.

If there is to be a bisexual menage-a-trois I would more like it to be Granger/Calvert/Caroline. Maybe if Granger and Calvert had included Caroline in a 3-way, things would have gone smoother for the 2 of them?? Edited October 30, 2009 by gmendias
