Tomas Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 AHHHHH! Middendorf's! Now that brings back memories. A required stop on the way to the farm just outside Hammond every summer.
Kitt Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I think that was taking "fresh seafood" a tad far! Did they rebuild and make the comeback from Katrina? 1
W_L Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Can this po' New England pup get some o' da gumbo from these fine southern establishments?
JamesSavik Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I think that was taking "fresh seafood" a tad far! Did they rebuild and make the comeback from Katrina? Oh yeah- they're back. And yes WL- they would be glad to have you.
mickey1952 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single fried seafood that I DON'T love! It's all too good!!
VLM Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Ooooo I love fried seafood, but most of all Sushi is the best of them all
blake_logan Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I think that was taking "fresh seafood" a tad far! Did they rebuild and make the comeback from Katrina? No....this is taking "fresh seafood" a tad too far
Kitt Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I like it fresh but I don't think I want it still squirming and staring back!
Irritable1 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 A foodie friend explained to me that it's good to know how to kill things because he was once required to slaughter a lobster at table in a fancy restaurant, surrounded by freaking-out coworkers. Something about them serving it wiggling to prove it was fresh, a degree of certainty no one at table had been expecting.
blake_logan Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I like it fresh but I don't think I want it still squirming and staring back! That won't happen if it's fried
W_L Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 That won't happen if it's fried You know the other fish in the restaurant tank will be looking at you
Kitt Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 That won't happen if it's fried Fried sashimi? Doesn't that contradict itself? You know the other fish in the restaurant tank will be looking at you The other fish in the tank can stare all they want! That wouldn't bother me at all - but dinner still squirming? Rather not thank you.
