    Chapter 1

All I can do is pretty much echo the general sentiment. I didn't care for Nate in the previous story, but something made me really want to read this follow up. I'll keep an open mind and hope that he can prove himself human and worthy of a good man down the road. Thanks for a good start!

    Chapter 25

Well, aside from Luke losing Greg, things were going just a tad too well for everyone. So I guess we should have figured on something coming from out in left field. But strangely, I really didn't see all this coming. So it'll be really interesting to see where things go from here. How do Luke and Erie fix their relationship hiccup, and what's going to happen with a lifelong friendship now headed for the rocks?

    Button

A great ending to a great story. (I wrote more in your "conception and birth" forum.) Bring on "The Barbed Wire Heart". Thanks, Cole!
  4. There's absolutely no clue as to where we're going next, so it'll be a long week till Chapter 2. But it just makes it more worth the while!
  5. Cute little story. And loved the surprise ending. Way to go, Sis!
  6. I also lived through and vividly remember the beginning of the AIDS epidemic. It brought back a lot of memories, many of them painful. But we don't ever want to forget; we can't forget. Add me to the list of readers that teared up twice, probably in the same hour. First with the latest Button chapter, and now here. The Loring Lane series has been so varied, and yet every story has caught my attention and held it to the end. Thanks for continuing the "tradition". With your hints about a thread involving characters from this story and Button, could it be that Brent plays heavily in your story plans? It'll be interesting to see where The Barbed Wire Heart takes us. Thanks, Cole!
  7. A beautifully written chapter, but a tough read. Life isn't always fair, is it? I think you handled the matter with sensitivity and care though. But still couldn't keep the damned tears away.
  8. I'm not exactly sure what, but something about the start of this story makes it feel a bit different than any of your previous wolf-theme stories. Looking forward to Chapter 2 to see what direction it might take.
  9. The story just gets better with every new chapter! I didn't orginally see things going from a young boy to a teenager like they have, but you've made the transition so smooth that it makes the reading a real pleasure. Thanks, Cole!
  10. Woo hoo! Two chapters back to back. Really sorry you had to have such a bad day to cause the mix-up though. One thing keeps niggling at me: Are you really sure Jameson is straight? Maybe he's messing with you. ;-P

    Chapter 5

I'm becoming consumed by this story! I don't know where the storyline came from but I'm glad you found the inspiration to put it to paper. It's a must on my "look forward to" list, and I find I'm usually impatient waiting for each new chapter. Keep up the good work!

    Chapter 11

I'm really glad the guys "started talking to you" again so you could resume the story. It's really just an old fashioned feel-good tale about romance and friendship, and that's why it's such fun to look forward to each new chapter. Whether it stays along that theme or takes a more rocky path, it's still something to look forward to again. Thanks!!

    Chapter 13

I've come to the conclusion, Rob, that either the story has to be less interesting, or the chapters a little longer.
  14. Rather than try and tell you what I thought of this story, instead I'll tell you that having just finished it, I'm sitting in my recliner feeling very relaxed, with a big smile on my face, and a feel-good tingle resonating throughout my body. Another winner for sure!
  15. I don't know from where you're drawing the inspiration for this story, but it just keeps getting better with each chapter. Thanks so much, Cole. Looking forward to the next chapter already!

    Chapter 8

Go, Buzz! Better late (almost) than never. Head for Jed and don't look back!
  17. This is such a heartwarming story. And I'm so glad it wasn't Andy's funeral! Looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks so much, Cole!

    Chapter 6

I was amazed at how easily you wove so mamy characters together in your previous stories, and you're pulling it off again here. This story grabbed us all from the start and it's been amazing how quickly the chapters have rolled out. You must have had a good portion of it already written. You're spoiling us, but we love it! Thanks again.

    Chapter 5

Dylan and Jesse are back!!! You sly devil, Andrew. This story just gets more interesting by the chapter. Can't wait for more!

    The Chosen

I wondered how you were going to top the "Riding Lessons" series. This may or may not top it but it certainly looks like it has the potential to match it. With good doses of mystery and intrigue thrown in as well. Excellent story so far, Andrew. Can't wait for the next chapters to see who will round out the rest of the five "Chosens"!

    Chapter 3

Poor Jed. And poor Buzz. Do two wrongs ever make a right?

    Chapter 2

Damn! First you get me hooked on werewolves, and now you've sent me to hell. What's next?
  23. mickey1952

    Enforcer

I agree with the general consensus. Buzz needs to meet Jed quickly, and join a pack where he'll be loved and appreciated.
  24. Like Joann, I'm a sucker for a good love story and a happy ending. And you really had my curiosity revved up wondering who that cutie was in your banner. Well done, wolf-son!

    Chapter 3

All I gotta say is that if the sex scene was based on your fantasy of getting it on with a real-life stud that you know, then every guy (and probably every gal, too) that reads that scene now also wants face time with that walking wet dream. Damn, that was hot! And having lived in Texas for over 30 years, the speech patterns and vernacular of the dialogue made me homesick as hell. Hot story, dude; can't wait for the next chapter.
