Forloyn Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 erm, wow! that only made me want more! I really liked the combat seen.
BillM Posted March 25, 2004 Author Posted March 25, 2004 Thanks Forloyn, I tried to make it an anime style fighting scene. It was really hard to create a battle scene with just words
miguelsanchez55 Posted March 27, 2004 Posted March 27, 2004 Hey BM, I just read chapter 7 of hack/escape. Great work dude. I can't wait for chapter 8 and for you know who to get his. :ranger: Take care, Mike :sword:
miguelsanchez55 Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 Hey BM, Just read chapter 8. God how I can't wait for all those asses to get theirs. I don't know who I hate more, the father or the sister. Take care and I can't wait for chapter 9. It's a great story dude. Take care and write fast, hehe. Mike :sword:
Taryn Winterblade Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 I have to agree with Mike on this one... I found myself really loathing all of them... and I found myself wanting to protect both Jim and Michael throughout the chapter (or, more to the point, throughout the entire story, but...) Anyway, good chapter can't wait to read chapter 9!
miguelsanchez55 Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 Hey BM, Thanks Taryn, I was kind of hoping the Aunt would do or say something to her brother. Let's see what ch. 9 brings. Maybe the sister will get her comeupins' Take care, Mike :sword:
Taryn Winterblade Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 Well, I think the problem there is the fact that Jim is trying to hide it from his Aunt that he's getting beaten by his dad... which doesn't make too much sense to me, since with today's laws, it'd probably be easy enough to get him out of that household. *shrug*
BillM Posted April 22, 2004 Author Posted April 22, 2004 Well, I think the problem there is the fact that Jim is trying to hide it from his Aunt that he's getting beaten by his dad... which doesn't make too much sense to me Developmental psychology readings and studies show that a child who is a victim of mental and physical abuse by a loved one will often believe that there is something wrong with them that causes the abuse. As a result they don't tell anybody about the abuse because of this reason and the fact that hey love the family member too much. In Jim's case he thinks that if he tells his aunt she will see his 'flaw' in the same light as his father. Of course his aunt wouldn't hurt him but Jim is only fourteen and that's the way that his mind works.
miguelsanchez55 Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 Hey BM, You so right. I run an online support group for gay teens and I know this first hand. It is very sad to say the least. Take care, Mike :sword:
BillM Posted April 23, 2004 Author Posted April 23, 2004 It is very sad to say the least. You got that right. Unfortunately the counselling process to deal with kids who have this problem is long and difficult and in many cases unsucessful
Taryn Winterblade Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 That's very troubling... I guess, having not had to experience that myself, I didn't realize that kids could think that it was their fault... and it just makes me so mad that there are parents out there that would do that to their own child...
miguelsanchez55 Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Taryn, You don't know the half of it. It makes me very Take care, Mike :sword:
BillM Posted May 18, 2004 Author Posted May 18, 2004 As well as chapter nine I've posted a rewrite of chapter 1. You can view it here

Julian Alexander Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Finally you get the next chapter. Really Good. Jim might actually Micheal in the Real World. And also what dave is plannig to do to Elysium. cant wait for the drama that is about to unfold Julian Alexander
Gentim Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Having read the latest Chapter, I'm looking forward to the next one with some excitement. Now that Michael and Jim have met in the real world , will they get to remain together in both worlds? Or will Elysium remain a safe haven? I'm sure the answers to those questions and others will come in time. Keep it up, BM.
BillM Posted July 26, 2004 Author Posted July 26, 2004 Thanks guys I probably won't update for a while though as I'm working on my HP story atm.
miguelsanchez55 Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 BM, You give us a fix then we got to go through withdrawls again. This is the sad fact of having so many irons in the fire at the same time. I love this story as well as Tears od Blood but as a fellow author, trying to juggle more than 2 stories at one time can be over whelming and something I can't do. I hope you can post a chapter of TOB soon. Take care dude and know we love you, Mike :sword:
