I tracked down the link to this story: http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/sf-fantasy/...cape/index.html. The author, Bill, seems to have dropped off from his end of the world. His last post in 2005 mentions part-time jobs and getting on with university. Maybe some of his fans could drop him a note and encourage him to re-surface.
