W_L Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 You can already guess my answer Tom Brady, New England Patriots However, there's plent of differing opinions on who and which teams were the greatest of all time. We can even debate the season/year of teams? 1
Wesley8890 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Without a doubt the great 3rd baseman of all time is Chipper Jones. Also a legend is Bobby Cox, who led the Atlanta Braves to 14 National league division Pennants, as well as being the most ejected manager of all time. Hank Aaron will always be the ho e run king for me. 1
Acid07 Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Overall, I'd find it difficult to argue against Brady. 5-2 in Super Bowls (so far), 4 of which he got the MVP for. A dozen pro bowls and a couple MVPs are nice too. As time goes, the game changes. The modern era really allows for Quarterbacks to stand out and have extremely dominant performances. The game isn't the same as when the 1972 dolphins put up their perfect season. I think as the game evolves, it'll be tougher to judge the GOAT, but Brady will probably always be part of the conversation (unless someone puts together a better resume over a 20 year span haha). As for impressive teams, in the modern era I still think the 18-1 Patriots team was one of the most impressive teams I've seen fielded. They did lose the Super Bowl, but man...they were a juggernaut. Please note, that despite having mad respect for the duo that Belichick/Brady have made for the better part of the last two decades, I'm not a Pats fan. They knocked off my Panthers in one of those Super Bowls 1

I've seen all but Matthews play in person and Robinson, in particular, was incredible. A fraternity brother once gave me a picture of him with a personalized birthday wish and it's one of my favorite pieces of memorabilia. The human vacuum cleaner helped lead the Orioles to several World Series. He played in countless All-Star games and won several Gold Gloves at his position. Considering how much the game has changed, even in my lifetime, comparisons are tough when they span a hundred years.
