Google Translate suggests the language is Albanian, but I'm going to assume it's meant to stand in for an alien language because, of course, you weren't going to invent a whole new language. And I'll refrain from Google Translating it because I'm not supposed to understand it, even if it's somehow intended to really is Albanian. Malik was very wrong about what happened to him before he saw the two moons, but that's the natural reaction, people don't assume science fiction stuff until they see proof that everything else is impossible. So that thing in the Hazardous room was some kind of portal that took him to another world, but the people he came across are clearly not aware of that or they would have realised Malik is another person coming through the portal. There's no point in escaping, as he wouldn't know where to go, plus, judging by Rhaelce's reaction to the flying animal, it would be dangerous because there are predators out there. So we're not doing the thing sci-fi tv shows and movies like to do where all aliens magically speak English, I like that. I liked having to interpret things through voice tones and body language. There was a variety of opinions, with adults varying between welcoming and suspicious, and children between curious and shy. But it was also nice to get Rhaelce's inner thoughts at the end to give us some context. Now we know there are valid reasons to think Malik could be a criminal or a spy, let's hope he can gain their trust.

Stephen's parents learned something about him, it can't be easy to find out their son has been going through that for so long without them noticing. But it's unfortunately realistic for kids to not tell their parents about this, because of misconceptions about how they would react. But now they know and Stephen will get to be homeschooled away from what would likely be a return of that. Stephen and Michael are becoming good friends quickly. Which is good for both of them, but Stephen, in particular, really needed that. It's good that they cleared up the last thing that was bothering them both, and of course they both accepted it. Worrying about how the other would react if they found out would have kept affecting them. Now we're going to meet two of Michael's friends, let's hope they're nice to Stephen. The other thing that was important to have put in the open, which they did, was Jeff's false accusations about his own brother. So now Stephen knows Jeff said Michael may try to molest him and doesn't believe him, and Michael knows both of these things, plus he clarified to Stephen that Jeff just thinks this about all gay guys. All this being cleared up means Jeff can't hurt his brother via accusations to Stephen or Leon.

Reading this comment after Frosted Hearts is funny. But, like I said before, each sex scene in that story is important for either the plot or characterization. It's just interesting to see how much can change in less than a year. Anyway, on to this chapter. Before anything else, sleeping with the face on a pillow with dried cum? EWW!! Tyler and Brandon have a fun friendship dynamic going on, but this makes me wonder why would they have drifted apart for multiple years. We know from the previous chapter that Tyler wasn't secure in his sexuality, he was only lying to himself that he was. Knowing that he slept in the same bed as a gay friend, maybe that was making it too hard (possibly even hard in a literal sense) for Tyler to keep denying he's into guys. He would have had to come up with an excuse for himself about the reason he drifted apart, but brains in denial are good at that. In that conversation, Tyler is struggling with things he doesn't want to admit to Brandon, but especially to himself. He knows he enjoyed the blowjob, but's not ready to accept that it being given by a guy was part of why he liked it more than others given by girls. Meanwhile, Brandon has figured this out and that lets him be in control of the conversation, even when Tyler storms off. He has a bit of fun here and there by poking Tyler with the right questions, but I'm glad he knows not to confront him directly with what the conclusion that Tyler seems to like guys.

I would have advised against making bets with open ended options for what the winner can make the loser do. But, Tyler, since you agreed to it, you pay up, that's how it works. It should also have been predictable that, after you made Devin shove a marker up his ass when he lost a bet, he would make you do something worse on your next loss. Although you ended up liking it a lot, so there's that. And yes, I'm talking to a fictional character, what about it? The banter between Tyler and Devin was fun. There's a bunch of ribbing back and forth, but nothing malicious intended. Devin even eventually agrees to not watch the video after seeing it would make Tyler uncomfortable, but, of course, only after making him suffer a bit. Speaking of the video, it was Tyler who suggested it, but I feel like that's worse than Devin watching it. Because what if someone gets a hold of it? I wouldn't be surprised if we find out the answer later. News flash, Tyler, if you feel the need to make sure you don't think of guys in a sexual way, you're not secure in your sexuality. But people doing this is common and the forfeit Devin came up with led Tyler down the path of hopefully coming to terms with his sexuality, which means it probably helped by accident. When being unsure about his sexuality, Tyler's plan of talking to a gay guy is a good one. And that leads us to blue hair and paint, it's Brandon.

I read Christmas In Glacier Bay, but I don't remember everyone's names because there's too many to memorize in a single chapter. But now I looked, the catering guy was an interesting character. Also, this is the first time I hear about Captivated By Kai, I'm interested in reading more Glacier Bay when you get to that. Yes, I've been reading the comments. Both because I like to see what people think about stories I read and because I know you drop hints and behind the scenes comments. Interesting tidbit about his condition.

I'll comment on the chapter later because I need to sometimes work while I'm at work, but I wanted to comment on this. I've interacted with you enough on GA to say you're probably right about not being humble in general. But you are humble about your writing skills in particular, I think you're a better writer than you give yourself credit for.

The difference is, while Stephen will still face abuse, there will also be positive things in his life. That makes it easier for me to deal with what I will read.

Stephen had really tough time so far with the bullying and not even having any friends, but that's about to change. For my own sake, I'm glad we skipped all that until we reached a point where he'll have some positive stuff to counterbalance the negative ones that I'm sure will sadly continue. Michael can't see the things other kids bully Stephen about, but he still wouldn't make fun of him if he did, he's a good kid. Michael being blind also comes with it's own challenges, we haven't gotten much into it yet, but we saw his mom not trusting him to be able to return home alone because he's blind. I understand her point until he's a bit older, but I also get that it can be frustrating for him to be so limited. Michael's brother, Jeff, is a dick. Implying that, just because Michael is gay, he'd molest another kid is super homophobic. And it's a recurring thing, we're told things like that scene at dinner happens multiple times per month. Stephen's brother, Leon, also used a homophobic slur but I think he's not as bad as Jeff. It initially seemed that he's the kind to think all gay guys are risks of molesting people but, after paying more attention, I think he only got that impression about Michael because of whatever shit Jeff told him. Jeff was probably the one who brought that up and Leon's protectiveness of his brother kicked in. So I think Leon is more likely to be receptive to being taught to not be homophobic.

Children can be very cruel. I'm going to assume the kindergarten teacher didn't hear what those bullies said because they can't hear everything all of them say. But whatever led to the bullies immediately targeting this character will probably make bullies continue to haunt him through his school years. He's seemingly in the path to a difficult life and I want to hug him.

For the prologue, we have Tyler's Dilemma: No Tyler Edition. Which probably means Brandon will appear eventually and maybe Owen too, but I doubt AG47Fox will. It feels like Owen must have been hiding something, a guy who claims he's a bottom refusing to bottom for six whole months of dating is fishy, even with the big dick excuse. Meanwhile, Brandon left me unsure of whether he's actually at least 18 or not and it's a dick move if he's not because he could get someone in trouble. But, if he's indeed younger, I appreciate that he said he's 18, it gives Al some amount of plausible deniability, as Brandon pointed out. Not revealing his name in a hookup sounded like the smart move for a young guy, adult or not. Brandon is cocky, which works for hookups like this, but could be a big much in other contexts if he's not careful. But I don't think his cockiness goes so far as to be off putting, so this is a minor point. He otherwise seems like an interesting guy, smart, artistic and I'm a fan of blue hair. Hyperthymesia sounds like hell, I'd hate to have that. Sure, it sounds good that he can remember useful things easily, but that's until you think of the bad stuff. Wikipedia says people with this condition remember things in vivid detail, so imagine if something horrible happens and he's stuck with the vivid details of it forever in his memory. I'm looking forward to seeing how Brandon will interact with the story and for me to meet Tyler.

That was a wholesome chapter, coming before the storm we expect from Natasha. Benjamin and Justin have good reasons to want to move in, it's far from only being about sex. Martin getting Justin moved right away was a good call, considering the shared house situation. And, despite Benjamin's complaints, making him wait a week was the right decision, they need to tell his mother first. It's great to know he can legally move, regardless of what Natasha thinks, but talking to hear about it is still a delicate matter that shouldn't be done immediately before Martin goes away for a few days. I think Martin should tell Benjamin and his other children about his real family and sudden wealth soon. It made sense for to make sure him and his boyfriend wanted to move in without having that knowledge, which could have influenced the decision for the wrong reasons. But now, after he returns, they deserve to know the truth. That being said, it's not an easy topic to suddenly drop on them, so I wouldn't be surprised if he keeps avoid it for a while longer. Natasha is different story, she doesn't have to know.

It's sad for Sam and Virgil that some guys who used to be friends didn't go to the party because they're gay. But them and Sam found a new good friend in Art, whose comfortable with them being gay. And the new friendship is great for Art too, having faced his own share of losing friends to bigotry, and now finding accepting ones. Art having skipped a year is impressive. Meanwhile, teenage boys discover the wonders of the prostate. And the straight friend is comfortable enough with his sexuality to let a gay guy insert his finger there.

Yes, I intend to continue reading it. I'll make sure to read and comment on chapter 2 before chapter 3 drops. But I expect most of the time I won't be able to comments until Fridays, as Thursday are my busiest days. I tend to be unable to write short comments if stories have enough stuff going on, but it seems that's not a bad thing.

In the short time I've been on GA, I hadn't yet ventured into stories taking place outside of what exists in the real world, but I kept seeing the "Hazardous Updates" thread in the forum and I figured it would be a good place to start. I'm sad for Malik because his life at home sucks with the awful way his stepfather treats him, to the point where he feels the need to find places to hide. But now the good part of his life, his friends, is not so good anymore after he saw them together. And he ended up who knows where (except maybe the people who already read chapter 2) and whether it's dangerous (it probably is, the story has a fighting tag). On the other hand, maybe he'll eventually find something good wherever he is, and it lets him avoid having to fake things in front of the friends I don't like. Malik being attracted to Salma and her not reciprocating sucks for him but it's outside her control. However, her and Hawk seemingly knowing that and not telling him they're together is shitty of them (in a way that's realistic for teenagers). He was going to find out sooner or later and this way is more painful. On top of that, Salma had a gun and Hawk had a knife in case the place is dangerous, but the two of them proceed to leave the only unharmed person alone. And they were more interested being able to make out because Malik wasn't there than on his safety. Lock picking a door labeled "Hazardous" is a bad idea. But, to Malik's credit, he was at least initially aware that entering it alone without even telling his was a bad idea. And once he had seen them together, I can understand rational thought being put aside. I wonder if Salma and Hawk will think Malik disappeared because he caught them making out, maybe thinking he ran away. I'd feel bad if I wasn't annoyed at them.

When looking through the list of an author's stories, sometimes there's one that has a green background on that menu. I've seen a small number like that, I think I haven't noticed more than one from the same authors but I can't figure out the pattern or relation between them.

I used it in my comment above, but my nickname for Willie LeDeuce is changing his surname to LeDouche.

That's a big coincidence with Arlo and that discount gesture was nice. The first day of school sucked because of Willie LeDouche, but thank god for Scott. We'll see if that's enough to stop LeDouche, but it may just delay things until he can get his own backup. It was good of them to befriend Art right on his first day, it can be difficult to make new friends when everyone already knows each other.

That went a lot better than I expected. First, Anna reconnected with Cooper, it will help him to have someone around on Sundays who's a friend and knows what happened years ago. Then Garret was friendly to an extent that it seems he's still interested in Cooper, which makes sense since we learned the reason they broke up was an external factor. And now Brian, unlike what Cooper feared, was nice when they talked at the end. I get Cooper's reaction because one short conversation can't erase years of not being friends over a single kiss. And, while he doesn't have to forgive years of that, I think Cooper should do it for his own benefit, he'll feel better if he does it.

To keep it vague until the next chapter gets posted on GA, I'll say that one made me disappointed in Hunter, but I believe he got the right push to make him learn from these mistakes.

So Tim has seen Bobby's boner and remembers it's size, I wonder if they're a couple too. Both of them plus Scott also got boners while in a group of naked guys, but this is a lot less conclusive because they're at an age where even the wind blowing at the right angle can give them boners. Now school is coming next and that could be rough. First, for Sam and Virgil because the stuff with Sam's father made people know they're gay. But, second, for Sam and Bobby because people know their father is in jail. Which means Sam gets potentially hit by both.

It sounds like Bryan keeps dating new girls to try to convince himself he's not gay. And he kisses like a dead fish is he's not attracted to them. I'm glad Cooper's parents supported him when he came out. If he's going to deal with some difficulties about being gay, I'd rather that be balanced out.
