Hmmm. Depressing thoughts. However, I would take care of all my affairs and get them in order. I would make sure that Jim was taken care of after I was gone. I would make sure legally that Jim got everything, so some f'd up family member couldn't come in and try to claim the estate. Then we would travel as far and as long as my health held up. Then we'd call in hospice, and I'd say goodbye to Jim and our family. Then I'd say goodbye to my family, and I would peacefully leave this earth, ready for my next adventure. Steve

I have to STRONGLY agree. It's just not you Kiwi. Crying is VERY therapeutic. Releases a lot of pent up anguish, anger, sadness etc.. Steve

But as authors, doesn't it excite you to no end that you've written something so well, imbued characters with traits so real, so complete, and made the story so compelling? ....with gay sex scenes that are not pornographic, but real, unabashed, and essential to the story? Those are the traits that keep us reading folks hanging on, agonizing in the wait for the next chapters.

In hindsight, I see that Aaron's character was pretty well hinted at by the sexual non-reciprocation w/Rory, Seth being wherever Aaron had invited Rory, and Aaron's constantly defending Seth's presence. After reading the responses here, and some private messages, I decided to view the "Bane" in an alternate light. Completed writings I can refer to as movies, with credits and everything like that. "In progress" books, I'll just view as cliffhangers on a television series. BUT, there are lots of 'em. Sorta like "stay tuned for next weeks show......" Steve

I think that after 3 short weeks, I've discovered that which is the bane of GA. I've read so many stories on GA, and enjoyed all of them. The worst of this experience is that the stories I enjoy the most.........just end suddenly. No ceremony, no celebration - they just END. I know that there's the promise of continuing the exciting stories featuring the likes of Cody, Aiden, Rory, Joe, Steph, Owen, Zach, Lucien, Ben, and Seth, along with too many other interesting and enticing characters that just abound here on GA. It's frustrating to say the least. After that, I'm just expected to wait until "the next chapter". <SIGH> I don't have to like it, but it seems that is the way it is when you're dealing with aspiring authors. Steve

Wow. I voted that Dennis is a bottom, relying on the old adage "the butcher they try to be, the faster their legs will fly up". I can just imagine how Dennis feels with Travis' tongue stuck up his nether regions. Look at Leo and Ben. The_FNG

My Favorite passage (It touched my heart. Both Dennis and Owen): ["Maybe," Dennis said cautiously. "Or maybe... he wouldn't. If, whoever it is didn't want him to tell anyone." "What do you mean? Like who...." his words came to halt when he met Dennis's eyes, his blond brow lifting halfway across his forehead. Dennis felt his stomach drop from underneath him. He'd tried to keep a straight face, but the fact that he could no longer meet the blond's eyes didn't seem to bode well as Owen's expression became more quizzical by the moment. Dennis felt his eyes drift closed. His brow knit. It's okay, he told himself. It's just Owen. Of all the people in the world to know, it was just Owen. "Yeah," Owen suddenly said, his tone even, careful. "I guess that could be it." Dennis opened his eyes, lifted his gaze to the way the corner of Owen's mouth had turned up, his expression giving nothing more away. Owen Dovan was his friend. And Dennis doubted he could ever have doubts about that after this.] OH!! How sweet!! The_FNG

It's really hard for me to decide which story I'd like to see continued/updated. Prolly ITFB, since I'm finding Dennis' transformation and interaction with Travis very entertaining. Steve

Most of his stories seem sorta end with a "pause" to me. Like he can pick up anytime, where he left off. That's a good thing.
