  8. Hmmm. I guess I've always had "theme" songs with my partners. Jim is the longest-lasting, and the most rewarding. We both got our emotions tied up in a song many years ago that I would say is OUR theme song. Oleta Adams - Get Here Of course as all gay folk, we've all had our trials and tribulations. Probably 25-30 years ago, certainly not the best of times, but not the worst either, if I had a theme song, it surely would have been http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rA6YXuagiuU Send in the Clowns - by the lady who made it REALLY famous. Of course, these are 'songs', as the thread indicated. These do not include Classical works that can basically heighten my emotions to the same levels as Love, Sex, etc.. Steve
  9. Hmm. I have a memory foam pillow for me head (tempur something), a light, small pillow w/kingsize case (to cover me face on weekends, so sleep), and a body pillow to cuddle. Jim has 7 pillows, including a wedge pillow for upright positions, and including a body pillow. There's also a body pillow 'tween us (in Texas, it's too hot to cuddle a lot of the time). So we're talking 11 that we have to replace every 6 months or so. It's been that way since the beginning. We likes to sleep. Other things, the pillows go. Steve

  12. Hmmm. This is fascinating. There's no doubt in my mind that many, many a conversations have been had by all folks on GA. ie. "is he/she for real?" Some folks here have stated that they are an "open book". I think I fit into this group as well. For awhile there I was posting pics of myself and Jim that were 15 years old, but then realized "Why?" We're happy, I'm happy, prolly not insecure enough (brazen), and express myself or emotions openly, sometimes I admit, to a fault. I'm guessing that "Ya gotta take the 'good' with the 'bad' as well". ..............or not. Steve

  16. Heh, my how times have changed. In Tulsa, Oklahoma, back in 1968, PE was required for all students grades 7-12 (ages 11-17/18, depending on your birth date). In every school I went to, showers were REQUIRED, period. At the time I guess no one thought about showering in swim speedos. In fact, I'm not even sure speedos existed then. I guess the pure shock, happening at age 11, of having any modicum of modesty ripped from you in an instant gave rise to the attitude of "just get used to it." However, woe unto any poor sap who popped a woody in gym shower though. OH! Except for a 'star' football, basketball etc., player poppin one. Then he was just razzed in a friendly way, and if well-endowed, maybe even admired. Of course, when I was eleven, I had no clue why I was prayin not to get a woody in gym showers. It was many years later when I accepted my sexuality. Steve

  25. Riley - You have absolutely no reason to apologize. The chapter made me very angry. It was a tough read and I overreacted with my post. You have MY sincerest apologies. I'm not going to delete my post either. I said what I said, and I'm not gonna hide - wrong as I was. Heh, I guess it's a tribute to your writing talents. To raise so much ruckus with a story says positive things about the author. You go ahead an put that chapter back where it was, and don't pay any attention to detractors. Steve
