Like Bleu I saw/heard of this announcement (through Andy) a couple days ago. I thought I had made a post but it seems I either didnt submit it correctly or something happened to not allow it to post. Regardless to say this was a shock is an understatement. It is a great loss to the world to have such a brightly shining and welcoming spirit removed from it. Even though I didn't know Vic terribly well, he was always friendly, charming and a genuinely good person in all of my experiences with him. He will be terribly missed, and the community, GA or otherwise, is lessened by his passing. I wish his family and close friends all the best during this time and during their mourning. Life does go on without the ones we love the most, after we've learned how to continue our paths without their light helping guide our way, and Vic's was a light that could illuminate for miles. Rest in Peace Vic, for now and until we meet again.

Summer, and Winter. Spring and Fall suck imo. Summer you have beachgoing, outdoor parties, Skateboarding, hanging out outside at all hours of the night. You can walk around and hang out in parks and talk with friends and things under the starlight. So nice! Fall is stupid lol. It's annoyingly cold (here anyways). Too cold to go with just a sweater/tshirt, too hot to bring out the winter gear yet. So I find myself constantly either too hot or too cold. Tons of rain, super windy, on and off snow. You really can't do anything during fall. Winter is nice too. Snowboarding/sledding/skiing! It's actually a decent level of cold, so it's easy to dress properly and be satisfied. You have the holidays, lots of getting together with friends and fam. Lots to do during the winter. Then we have Spring, the second useless season. It rains all the time, everything is melting (the snow/ice) so you cant do any winter sports anymore really. The weather is the uncomfortable level between cold and hot again (as seen during fall). Everything smells super gross from all the rotting plant matter being uncovered that was left behind during fall (along with the frozen dog poop from winter people left around). Everything is sandy, and salty, and gross. Spring sucks.

I want to father my own children at some point in my life. I'm open to adoption, but it's not my first option, so I said "no" in the poll. Realistically this is more like a maybe. Ideally I'd just have one, a boy, but I'll give it a second shot should we have a girl the first time after 2, I'm finished, time for the V-cut hah.

While I'm not sure just how much this news may have spread across the border to our southern associates, but up in Canada one of the big headlines surrounds NDP leader Jack Layton's death early this morning, as he finally fell to his long time battle with Cancer. I'm not big into politics, so I can't speak much on his policies or his work with any real detail. However everything I understand about Jack says that he was a very sincere, honest, and passionate man when it come to his work within the political realm, and that he was one of the remaining "true" role models for young people in this generation. I am not a fan of sandals. The only time I ever wear them, is if I'm going to the beach, or I need to spend a lot of time in sand. Beyond that, closed toe shoes all the way, usually a pair of Nike SB's or some other skate shoe (Lakai, Emerica, etc)

tl;dr

No one really cares about the small guys, except the people who actually know something about the genre, and don't just accept what is force fed them by mainstream media channels lol. And the people who CONTROL the genre, are the record labels, especially considering like 95% of mainstream rappers these days have their music written for them. But how is that different from any other genre? Acquire Sales, disregard everything else.

This is basically about mainstream hiphop/rap, which for the most part, isn't justifiably labelled hiphop/rap. But I guess there's a point there? or something.

Not to be the debbie downer here, but I really didn't enjoy it that much. That's not to say it was bad, because it wasn't, but it definitely didn't blow me away either. The dialogue was nice and witty, but beyond that I didn't see much special with it. Kind of a cloverfield meets stand by me coming of age type story. Pretty standard fare as far as alien movies go. I would however say it's worth checking out, as the feedback I've gotten from others has been all over the place. Some love it, some, ehh, not so much, like me

Just out of curiosity KC, is your brother gay/non straight also? The reason I ask is because a big part of my psychology course I took was, of course, twin studies, and there were many examples of twins being closely related in sexual preferences (ie, both being gay, both having identical taste in women, etc.) This is of course assuming that you are identical, not fraternal twins. One interesting case study we looked at, involved identical twin boys, Jim Springer and Jim Lewis, whom were separated at birth. Despite having been both raised in separate adoptive families, they discovered after meeting for the first time at age 39 they had an obscene amount in common. To quote my textbook, Quite similar indeed! At any rate, I wish I had a twin, I think it would be interesting to see how similar (or different) we turned out from each other.
