  1. Happy birthday man! Hope its a good one
  2. Thats so cool! I definitely could've done that when It was like -50 last week. Thanks for sharing
  3. Reminds me kinda of this story
  4. I voted double maybe. Like most people have said its all circumstantial. I have a history with cheating (not myself but within my family), so I am not very tolerant of it. However I would let them plead there case, and deal with every event individually. However that said I do not forgive cheating very easilly, so there's a slim chance for it most of the time. In terms of people never changing, thats also circumstantial. Some people never will, while others will man/woman up and realize their errors.
  5. Music, Snowboarding, and Skateboarding. Can't live without em
  6. Fatboy Slim ft. Lazy Rich - Weapon of Choice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDxYiqMtYyg
  7. It has also been made illegal here to use any kind of handheld device while driving. If you are seen using your device (besides a bluetooth) you can receive a fine upwards of $200 among other punishments. Overall I can't say I'm disappointed to see this legislation implemented. Its also good to see most people on GA seem to feel the same way! xD
  8. One thing I've noticed from what tet and others have been saying is that its all basically the same thing, taken from opposite sides of the fence. From what I've read, my understanding is that Tet is saying people can be how they want, but society does have certain norms and ideals it tends to drive by, and that you won't be able to fit into those ideals all the time. I agree with this. From what I've read, my understanding is also that lacey/jay/others are saying, they shouldn't/don't worry about being accepted, and that only through pushing the boundaries can things be changed. I also agree with this. It is in these two opposing positions that I see a lot of parallels. To me the only difference seems to be, WHO (or what groups of people) exactly is changing their ideals. Should mainstream society be more accepting of the individuals desire to express themselves, or should the individual be more accepting of mainstream societies notions of the collective whole? When said in that form, I feel the issue is a lot more difficult to deal with, because it begs the question, who's priorities/interests are more important? Those of the supposedly free individual, or those of the masses (ala the one/few or the many conundrum.) Personally, I don't feel that it is my place to make such a decision, so I can't really delve into it much further than this. Just wanted to share my ideas on the matter, and hopefully show that pretty much, everyone is saying the same thing, just in different languages Perhaps a solution might be found outside the box? Just some ideas to think about P:
  9. I saw this a long while ago, had been looking for it again, but couldn't find it. Thanks for posting
  10. I'm now a pisces, instead of an aries supposedly. However I remember reading that peoples signs aren't switching, that you are the sign you were born under, and that the new zodiac is only effective for people being born in 2010 or later.
  11. Now I know what to look for when I'm back in banff come February
  12. I've never been on a date in the sense that you describe, ie. with a stranger. Its pretty much always been an accelerated form of what nephy described. Met someone, friendship, decide I'm interested, ask them out, if yes, go from there, if no, stay friends. I highly doubt I could date a stranger. I'm not exactly generous when it comes to handing out trust lol.
  13. So I saw this video today, and it got me wondering about how the GA community feels about this (I think) all too common occurrence. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DebhWD6ljZs Feel free to share your opinions why and why not in either direction. I don't think that this should get really heated, but in the event it does, obviously I request that a moderator move it to the soapbox. Personally I feel the texting while driving is extremely dangerous, and I frequently tell people I drive with not to if I see them doing it. I can barely walk while texting, nevermind drive S: It doesnt help that my phone has a touch screen so I actually have to look at it which would only make it more difficult. As a result, I never text when I drive. How about everyone else?
  14. Lol Cia that's actually hilarious Thanks for sharing xD Anyways I have tons of weird dreams alllll the time. Two of the weirdest I can remember off the top of my head were, 1. I was being chased by the chuckie doll (from the movies) and he was trying to kill me. Obviously I was running away, and at one point I was in an enclosed staircase trying to get out the emergency exit at the bottom, and the doll was just about to kill me, when a red emergency light turned on. Both of us were extremely confused, and we walked outside and saw that ginormous alien dinosaur type monsters were invading the earth and destroying everything. So me and the chuckie doll agreed to set aside our differences, and team up to fight this greater threat lol. I dont remember if we won or not, cause I woke up shortly after 2. In this dream I was again being chased by some unseen antagonist, except this time we were running through corn fields. Eventually I stumbled upon a huge mansion in the middle of the field, and ran into the house. Turned out there was a crazyyyy house party going on. Anyways I completely forgot about the dude chasing me, and walked around exploring. Eventually I stumbled upon a room which was made entirely out of glowing white plastic panels, and in the center 3 guys were crowded around this object. When I went to investigate, they told me it was called the "plastic gun" It was shaped like one of these dog toys except it was flesh toned, had a handle, and was long and pointed at the short end like a needle. Naturally I was curious about the gun and asked them to use it one me, and when they did, I turned into a fluorescent blue and white latex plastic person. I also discovered that in this plastic state, there was no longer any friction, so I slid around the floor infinitely. Eventually I made it into another huge room, which had a multicoloured disco dancefloor, and all these people in it dancing. I stayed in there for awhile before I eventually woke up
  15. My thoughts exactly. As for getting chipped, I dont really know I'd need much more information before I could make an informed decision. At this point both options seem equally likely I think.
  16. It has now Half Nigerian, Half an eclectic mix of euro-based caucasian, mostly scottish and italian.
  17. Nice hair ag! *approves*
  18. Chat I find is best when there are either less than 6 people, or less than 6 active people. Overall it is indeed a good way to get to know people (It was the primary mode through which I met everyone I know on here for the most part). For me the biggest difference between there being 6 and 14 people in chat, is the quality of conversation. Usually with the increased speed of conversation, comes a decrease in conversation depth. Everyone talks about how the weather is and what they're eating for dinner With fewer people I find it to be a much more intimate environment, where you can have a conversation on some topic, or share your ideas about something you might find particularly important or interesting. When there are too many people in chat, those things tend to get lost in the convolution. Overall just stop by fairly regularly, you'll get used to it, and probably find a couple people you really like to talk to. That makes things a lot easier, as you can just talk to and focus on that person, and ignore everyone else
  19. I was in a van, sleeping on my way to banff on christmas Boxing day was awesome. Spent my first time ever riding a mountain. Greatest feeling in the world :3
  20. Well, my tastes change pretty consistently, but at the top of the list would definitely be Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo of the Bloody Beetroots. Designer Drugs are also up there. Some recent additions to the lineup would include, Go Go Bizkitt! Wolfgang Gartner Woody
  21. Lol I knew this would come up haha. I feel that this would be fine, as you would have talked to your partner obviously. Its like having a 3some or some kind of group sex. Generally speaking people do this to spice up their love life, change it up a bit, keep things interesting. If both partners are for it, then I say be safe, and go for it!
  22. Honestly, thinking about my girlfriend showing herself to another guy, and him to her, doesn't make me feel good. I personally don't feel that it is appropriate in a relationship, regardless of what kind of "closeness" those people previously shared. If she had been close enough to the other guy, to be willing to do such things, than maybe she should be with him instead of me. I know that not everything can be so black and white in a relationship, as it is largely compromise, but some things I firmly believe are either do, or do not. Anything sexual is pretty much within that yes and no realm. If someone wants to stray from those boundaries, than it is probably best that we separate, because their interests seem to lie elsewhere. As I mentioned before though, whether its is cheating/deceitful depends on both people involved (I believe). All cheating is deceitful, but not all deceit is cheating (although it likely is, if it involves another person in an interpersonal sense.) This statement assumes however that is someone is cheated on, they would not remain in the relationship. There are basically (I feel) two options Partner A hides activities with another person from their mate, partner B. Partner B does not like any aspect of this. = Cheating and Deceitful Partner A hides activities with another person from their mate, Partner B. Partner B is neutral or feels fine with this. = Deceit
  23. Wait till 0:18 AT LEAST. lol
