    In The Desert

Dannsar, thank you very much for your detailed review. I'll keep this in mind when next I write a flash story. Anyway to answer one of the points you raised, I felt like I didn't need the backstory you wanted. This is a flash story after all and not a full length story where you can expound on such things. Now I get what you say, but from my point of view, it's up to the readers to piece that together. At least that's how I see it. And how lucky am I, I wrote a 600+ flash story and I get a review that is longer than that, I think. Thank you

Sorry, Frosty, that was just how the story presented itself to me. Awww, thank you very much

    In The Desert

Hey thanks for the feedback. I'm really glad you enjoyed this one. As long as people don't tell me my flash stories suck, I'll write one every time I'm stumped about how to proceed with my other stories. Thanks again
  5. In the middle of the night, two shadows from different directions darted between tents and crates until they met at the pen holding the camels. Without a word or looking at each other, one of them opened the gate while the other collected a half-asleep camel. Thankful for the howling wind which masked the sound of their footsteps against the sand, they made their way east. After an hour of walking, they helped the camel lower itself on the sand and they both got on its back. As the camel righ
  6. A collection of flash stories...
  7. Why is it that all of the weddings I attended are perfect? I wish weddings would be like this, it's hilarious. Not my wedding though, if I get married
  8. Well I wanna grumble first that there's no choice for both chaptered and non-chaptered. After that, what I want is to read chaptered stories because I like a story which is very well developed. Although I do write chaptered stories, I would much rather write short stories which is perfect for my impatient and lazy attitude
  9. Well I think my member title says it all as I didn't know we had this Anywhoo, I'd like to thank Anyta because she's the bestest critter there is IMO (and she's a superb editor to boot), Andy for making me 'hate' the phrase 'show us how they feel!', Maria for lending an open ear to all my musings regarding my stories and Bleu for believing in my skills

  13. I love a good mystery (and a little romance put in doesn't hurt either) so it was only a matter of time before I gave in and read this. I think you did a really good job. There were some 'editing' stuff I spotted which you can probably improve if you do a once over, but they weren't that much for me not to enjoy reading. Let's just say I'm hooked

    Chapter 1

Oh wow I get to enjoy two poems from two of my favorite poets There is beauty in simplicity and this one proves that. The part where you said you talk to her and tell her what's going on with your life almost made me cry But don't worry, I was just touched by the scene. Thanks Wayne
  15. How cool is this! I sort of inspired a poem, or at least give the idea for it Beautiful poem and I love the suspenseful feeling of it

    Chapter 22

Naughtiness? I don't know what you're talking about I can actually skip that and move to the part where they meet Coop's 'rents. But I can be persuaded to write naughty

    Chapter 22

Aw of course you're the first one to write a review I'm not complaining though, I actually look forward to hearing your thoughts, always. Next chapter, right

    Chapter 22

I watched with horror as Mich walked away from me, noting the droop of his shoulders and the edginess of his movements. “Hey, wait!” Scrambling to get up, I knocked my plate, but managed to right it as it teetered on the edge of the table. When I finally looked up, he was nowhere in sight. Oh shit! About to push the door open to search for Mich outside, I remembered the food hadn’t been paid for yet and I turned on my heels to see our server with one of her eyebrows at her hairline and a

  20. After a tiring day at work or a day off full of chores Remember that I’m here waiting to listen to your worries At the end of a happy day spent with family and friends I’ll hold your hand and reminisce with you There’ll be times I’ll stumble and fall on my knees But I’ll get up a better person than I was because of you I cannot promise to be your perfect person All I can do is assure you that I’m always here when you need me At the end of a storm which blackened

    Chapter 21

The story will end as it should be so... And I'm not that cruel to leave Mich battered and alone, this you can count on
