    Chapter Two: Scent

You're getting to know the crew! And keep the theories coming, it’s fascinating to see the speculation. 🧡

    Chapter One: Arrival

Let me know when that binge happens ! I’m actively working on the story and don’t plan on stopping. 20 chapters ahead of you as of right now. The story… goes places. Thank you for your readership and comments. 💚
  5. Thank you. 💙
  6. But the Isis/Osiris storyline was quite weak in my opinion. However, I thought, Yu was quite cool. And Ba'al proved to be a real PITA for SG-1 ^^ I have to admit I’d have to rewatch it all. The only thing I can clearly remember about SG-1 is how hot Michael Shanks is without a shirt on.
  7. You are both superfans now. Live with it. David Lynch once said: “I love mysteries. To fall into a mystery and its danger ... everything becomes so intense in those moments. When most mysteries are solved, I feel tremendously let down. So I want things to feel solved up to a point, but there's got to be a certain percentage left over to keep the dream going.”
  8. Happy Birthday then
  9. I clicked the π in your signature, thinking it might be the Praetorians from The Net (I really like Sandra Bullock). But instead I just spend 15 minutes with math. Thanks.
  10. Noted. You have dibs on sanity! I do remember good music video choices from you in the Your Current Song topic.
  11. It was another being “imbued” with powers carrying the label Wepwawet. Grey is Grey, Wepwawet is just the name he carries because powerful. So, there's the possibility of, let's say, two Wepwawets meeting, yet not in the same reality? Yup.
  12. Neither the universal translator from Star Trek, I suppose. Farscape > Space: Above and Beyond > The Orville > Star Trek There are more realities than The Prime. With infinite possibilities, incl. species imbued with powers. But you’d have to ask the Constructs. It was another being “imbued” with powers carrying the label Wepwawet. Grey is Grey, Wepwawet is just the name he carries because powerful. I’ll have a look at some point, but I really dislike reading German. 😂
  13. Well, Stargate … … when it comes to mythology ^^ The Stargate writers’ room embraced the chaos just like I am. You tell me 😂 Can we be sure of either given by how much—or little—information you've given us thus far? The "god names" can either reference to more of a concept or a designation/placeholder name for the prophecy linked to a specific role and its accompanying powers since the actual name wasn't known yet by the time of writing than a being itself, so there wouldn't be two entities of some kind reference to a "higher" entity—a spirit, if you will—that incarnates into a human vessel (similar to the Maia in Tolkien's legendarium). That would explain why Chronos always refers to them as "who calls themself so-and-so"—wait, didn't we have that conversation before? By the way, do all wolves have distinct names or only those of gods, as wolf and "human" are two but one—a duality? I think the best explanation is to be found in side of Aaru. You don’t speak English in the Construct realm, yet they all hear it that way. Those aren’t translator microbes (Farscape), language and existence works differently in there. It is not a concept of reality that the Prime understands. Then again, species on earth exist as a replica of what exists in the Construct realm, hence the name. Wepwawet, Aten, Sekhmet, Osiris… those are all names picked by the Constructs. So why do their appear in mythology? I did once hint at the fact that gods once roamed the earth but this is no longer the case. The appearance of Wepwawet again is something novel in current times. But consider it more like a label on someone imbued with power (again, don’t read too much into word choice) rather than a vessel or a reincarnation. 🥰 Athani and Mikael are siblings. Yes! Edna and Karl I could say the same about your lore ^^ I needed something to hold it all together, because otherwise it wouldn’t make any sense. If at the core it all makes sense, I don’t run the risk of the story falling apart. Well IIRC, that site is gone?
  14. The bet paid off! Me too. Thank you. 🖤
  15. What's Mark's reputation in the pack? Did it suffer similarly to Grey's? Though, Grey has the advantage, that he's the (future) alpha. Reputation is less important in the pack than actual wolf law, that’s how Luis reigns. Mark thus would pretty much go under the radar, and that’s how most people operate. Don’t want to offend the Luis, or draw attention to yourself. Mark doesn’t really have the luxury of not drawing attention from Luis, but Luis rather likes the guy. It seems like Luis and Beatrice have been on the same page about this, or was it just in the aspect of Mark? This is something that is too dangerous for me to comment on. 🙂 No. They are not, at all. I like Stargate but also no. I mean, he probably only wanted to get rid of Osiris rather than Mark. Aren't they one and the same? Just asking. Additionally, to elements and such, Constructs might be linked to them: # Construct Purpose Element Color Title Profane name Entity name Task Notes First Theodore locked away there Second The Center of Truth allows reality to settle Custodian of Artifice Edna Athani Third The Veil of Sorrow allow reality to age Mark Osiris holds reign over all emotion Fourth Fifth Sixth Inari holds Inari's Citadel Seventh Time Custodian of Pace Chronos Seventh Time Custodian of Pace? Terra do they have the same title/task? ? ? Custodian of Veracity Karl Mikael ? ? Moon Grey Wepwawet ? ? Sun Dave Aten ? ? The End Aaru ? ? Earth Clara Sekhmet healing/protection ? ? Proto eternal dance of Pyre ? ? Genea eternal dance of Pyre ? ? Water Blue Sebastian rain (to extinguish the Pyre)? ? ? Luna YOU PUT IN SO MUCH WORK, WTF. I have such a spreadsheet here and I have debated long if I should show glimpses of it, but I won’t. It reveals too much. To give you a few hints, because such work must be rewarded: There are seven Constructs, there is nothing more, nothing less. Each Construct has one element. Each element is sometimes referred to by color. If you know color theory, read as far back as the earliest chapters in the Lunar Haven, I give hints about all of them. Mixing colors is a thing. Each Construct has one magic affinity. Each Construct has one or more Wardens. These Wardens are not necessarily Lovers. Each Construct has a Power Realm, where they draw their power from. We do not know yet which Construct imbued which of our characters with power (I use imbue to not be spoilery, do not read too much into the word choice). Proto and Genea came before the Constructs. Pyre was before Rain, for Pyre was eternity. Only after eternity had passed, Rain followed. Pyre and Rain are not directly connected to Fire and Water, so do not draw that conclusion. Light and Dark are not supersets of the other elements. They coexist. The seven Constructs are also called “The Seven Piers of Origination”. Again, wow, wtf. Some call it "casting a spell over someone", some may call it "Narcissism" 🤷‍♂️ All of our current characters except for the Druids are awfully bad at casting spells. They are all still totally clueless. 🧡
  16. I think I finished some of the best writing to date, which doesn’t bode well for the future. lol
  17. I have a particular affinity for that kind of fantasy. So it’s a good one to start.
  18. Oh thank you, Albert (I picked the GIF but now I’m scared…)
  19. Thank you, @Patch1 💙 Those are some really nice adjectives, they make me happy Glad you enjoyed it.
  20. Well, they were the ones telling Mark to come home with them. Oh! I get it. lol. People around Sebastian’s/Grey’s/Mark’s age would party after such an event, while the older people just went home 😛 Mark isn’t mingling a lot anymore, especially after what happened a year earlier. “The prophecy” might not be the same thing they are talking about. Theodore might have a different one in mind than Beatrice than Maio and Deia, etc. Prophecies are written down by people, with all their agendas and misinterpretations. At this point, the ones closest to the truth would be the Constructs but no one seems to be asking Chronos the right questions. Or Inari. Or Edna and Karl. And then there’s powers even beyond the Constructs, like… yeah. I’ll let you figure that out. My brain is a mess. 😂 Someone might argue that Theodore specifically targeted Mark for “dispersal” when they stood on the Labirinthos door opening contraption. Or he didn’t. He possibly truly didn’t even know about his sons in the first place. So I guess it’s either Mark's power alone (Chronos: “Mark holds reign over all emotion.”—I don’t have people say things lightly 😛) or his power combined with everyone else’s, which could be the Triad or even more. Curing the curse is what they all want, but I’m not sure it’s what they need. @CincyKris tried to assign elements to people, and researched Egyptian mythology in order to gauge the future story. I’d say 80% of that is spot on. Our adventuring party plus Luna and whoever else is capable need to figure out where the fuck Mark is, how to get him back, what Luis is up to, and how The Theodore plays into all of it. I guess, that kinda depends on your writing style. When you plan everything out beforehand, using character sheets and whatnot, this is less likely to happen, but if you, like me, plan only the core story and characters beforehand, the story needs to grow beyond that during writing, like developing branches and leafs on a tree. I try. But then there’s characters like Mark and Sebastian who only develop with writing for me. I didn’t see them before, and now I want to move in with them. So some things just grow on you. I mean, who doesn't? Dave, Sebastian, Fiona, Dan, Dave-drown? I'm Dave now? “Mark holds reign over all emotion.” If I was an ass, I’d say he manipulates people into liking him.
  21. Some hits, some misses. You’ll have to read more to find out which is which But once again, @CincyKris, your dedication to finding out the truth is exceptional. I did put the poems there for a reason, and it is very wise of you to excise some details from them. Blue. Water. Magic. THANK YOU! 💜
  22. Is it praise? I will record this as praise. 💚
  23. The banter seems strong in here. 😁
  24. Very late to the party, just started reading a @Headstall story and thought I’d join. Hi. 👋🙂
  25. I seem to be discovering all sorts of things these days, and sometimes it is a gem like this! I’ll comment as I go along
