Thank you for saying that. Really. That makes me so happy. When I killed Mark what feels like aeons ago, you were the one with the most visceral reaction to it. I think you despised me for it. 😂 And I finally think I am honoring him properly. He’s way too important in my head—where he lives—to have him stay dead, I hope. He became one of my favorite characters in the process of writing. Thanks. 🧡

Both Mark and Sebastian were characters that grew out of nothing, but that I couldn’t quite grasp until I wrote them. I’m not sure if that is because I’m a newbie, or because some of them just grow organically (certified organic). The next three chapters do bring more clarity, I promise. Never forget The Triad. 💜

But as you know, I binged to Chapter 40 already, so I know you have something else in store.

Everything about this is spectacular and revelatory in all the good ways. As it is now my job to drop theories even though I could just read ahead and verify them—reducing the chance of me acting a fool—here goes: The process of mating will change the hybrid twins’ broken half-shift, and therefore present the solution. The cure would be “find mates for everyone!” I know, I know, it's a stretch… and a weird one at that. 💜

I do agree that word count matters—it is a metric available and most likely being used—but making clear cut rules defeats the whole system. Editorial decisions shouldn't be based on statistics alone, and their reasonings shouldn't be available to the public. This however, is just my personal opinion.
