Mag, You should be very happy that he changed the roll of toilet paper on his own :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was't going to comment on this thread because I am the one who tends not to put it on the dispenser. I guess I'm just lazy. He's better than me when it comes to that. He even puts the seat down. My last comment made me remember a night when I was out with a friend of mine. We both had to go to the bathroom, but the one stall girls room was occupied so he took me into the mens room where there was a free stall. I felt really odd, but I couldn't help but ask if I was supposed to put the seat up. Mag

[DomLuka] What does Jude see in Quinn?
Sugarmag replied to Masked Monkey's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Jude see's Quinn as the person he really is, not just the crazy mixed up kid he is right now. Jude has gotten to know Quinn in a way no one else has. He also understands Quinn and what he is dealing with. Of course there is the obvious physical attraction, but I think it has gone beyond that and now he really cares about Quinn. Mag -
I son't know Mag, gumbo sort of looks like its always cooked in the dark. Sharon <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok you may have a point there, but I don't think mine looks that bad. Now my Grandmothers Goulash thats another story. I don't make it since I hate the way it looks. Hmmm..... Maybe my Grandfather made her cook in the dark. Mag

I have to say that it can be very uncomfortable listening to your parents talk about their sex lives. My parents have been married for almost 40 years and they still flirt with each other. It is actually quite sweet, but on more than one occasion I have had to just turn and leave the room when one of them has said something a little too graphic. However, having to deal with some uncomfortable conversation is welcome after you have the unfortunate experience of hearing it when your bedroom is right next to theirs. AHHHHHHH! Mag

I hate it when.. ..my boss is running the kitchen and her negativity causes the cooks to get flustered and crash. ..the next day I run the kitchen and they rock, but my bosses negativity causes the servers to crash ..when I try to talk to my boss about the problem and her response is "I can't change my personality." Mag

I agree with both these statements. I took an Art History class at 8:00. It was very hard to stay awake when the professor spent most classes showing slides with the lights off. It wasn't a boring class just hard to stay focused. I know there was more than once I actually did fall asleep. However, I took the time to talk to him and express my interest in art. Although I did well on the tests I didn't pass many of the quizzes he gave each week. I was more than shocked when my grades came in to find I was given an A in the class. Mag

Nevermind may not be my favorite of Nirvana's albulms, but to say they "sold out" is crap. They were signed to a major label, the same label Sonic Youth was signed to before them. I don't think they really expected the "Grunge" scene take off as it did. It just goes to show how many people didn't get Kurt Cobain's music. Most of the album is making fun of those people. "don't know what it means when I say ya" Kurt Cobain may not have been a guitar god or the greatest singer, but he wrote great lyrics. A perfect sound with those lyrics would have taken away from them. It never made me feel worse it made me feel better. It made me feel like I was not alone. That someone else felt the way I did. Mag

I agree. I have been a Nirvana fan since they were on Sub Pop Records back in 89'. It about drove me crazy when Nevermind came out and all the jocks and cheerleaders that made fun of my friends and I started wearing Nirvana t-shirts. Other bands I like on Sub Pop Records The Jesus and Mary Chain Mudhoney Sonic Youth The Vaselines Mag

I like so many different types of music. However, I am addicted to Show Tunes. I tourture GoBears often with Wicked, Rent, Evita, Chicago, and Hair and many more. There is a bar in Chicago that has a Show Tune Night every Monday. It is so much fun. The whole bar sings along and interacts with the songs. If I had to choose only three albums right now they would be Wicked, Ani Difranco's "Living in Clip" and Depeche Mode's "Violator".....but ask me again in a month and any one of those could change. Did you read that book, I think it's titled "Everything Bad is Good for You"? It basically said that video games and modern cartoons are good educational tools, teaching both fine motor and problem-solving skills. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I heard a report about that on the news. How come nobody sues the govt. when an ex-military person goes wacko and kills, like McVeigh? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You always come up with the most interesting questions. I'm not sure how to answer that one. But....you stump me all the time. Mag <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just a stump? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> His questions stump my brain. What you are implyling more than a stump........but we will just keep that in our bedroom like Snow Dog has asked. Mag

I don't find them attractive, but they can be fun. Mag

I had my ears pierced when I was 13. Then when I was seventeen me and my boyfriend at the time got matching piercings in our right ears. However that got infected and I had to take it out. That should have been a sign. I no longer wear earings at all since I can only wear 14K gold and that's to expensive when I lose the things all the time. I don't like a lot of piercings on the face, but I think pierced nipples are attractive on men only. Just my opinion. Mag

Congrats Snow Dog! May the Force be with you. (Even if it is the Dark Side) Mag

Sorry man, hockey is the best sport on the face of the earth. Betty even told me herself. :king: Snow Dog <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hockey ends up in a tie way too often to be a better sport. Get rid of the 'icing' and 'two-line pass' rules. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hockey has also become more of a boxing match than a hocky game. I enjoy watching olympic hocky since there is no fighting. I just can't enjoy watching people get their faces bashed in. Mag

I agree with all of this. We must mark this down as one of the rare occasions that we agree completely. Well, maybe not with loving myself, but I love my husband so..... I also love baseball Go Cubbies. Mag

Chapter five was amazing. I'm not sure how I missed that it had been posted on nifty, but I discovered this when I started my investigation into the missing authors. You did a great job expressing Damien's feelings and I can relate to them so well. Self worth is something I have always struggled with. Although, I am much better than I was at that age I still have moments of self loathing. You are wise beyond your years and I can see a bright future for you as a writer if that

Take deep breaths and keep thinking positive. I won't lie to you it's not like high school. You have to be responsible for yourself and keep yourself on track. I don't know what you plan to study and I don't know how the higher education systemis set up in Canada, but here in the states it usually is two years of general education type classes. Of course some are harder than others, but you should learn more than you did in high school. It is fun, however. You already have friends going with you so you will have a great start and I'm sure a great support system. You will meet new people and learn new things. Study hard, but make sure you have time for fun once and a while. Enjoy this time in your life because the real world is whole new ball game. Glad to have you back. I was starting to wonder. BTW I am re-reading Flames to Ice right now. Mag

[DomLuka] Where is Everyone?
Sugarmag replied to Sugarmag's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Glad to hear from you Dom. I'm glad to hear you have been writing. Things have been crazy on this end as well. I only had about 6 days off in June and I was able to go on vacation from work last week and the first part of this week, but it's back to work on Thursday. Vacation was not all that fun. I moved my hubby down to his mom's so he can help take care of her since she has been sick for a few months now and is alone. He has joined us here and we have been having fun together posting like crazy. We will settle down soon because we will both be getting very busy. I hope we hear from Matt, Meg, and Apollo soon. Yeah more TOU soon. Mag
