Mark M I find I am agreeing with you - (and sorry, I am going back a page or so here - the problem of living on the other side of the world - half the comments are written while I'm tucked up in bed with m'boy); I found the Box, while well written, was hard going at first, and a "filler" between Grainger stories, however recently I have become more intriged by it. As far as peoples comments; the level of detail some people recall about earlier stories truly amazes me!!

As far as Stefan's birthday: what about October 7.... "Feast" day of Saints Sergius and Bacchus in the Catholic Church - an openly gay/secretly Christian couple of the 4th century..... sounds better than Canada Day (1 July)

Actaully if you were going to hide out at the end of WWII, Manila in particular or the Philippines in general would not have been a bad place; the Japanese had slaughtered a huge number of the inhabitants and the Americans had flattened the city infrastructure, so it would have been "simple" to blend into the chaos..... The attraction would have been it's pre-war reputation (Pearl of the Orient, much better developed than Singapore or HongKong)..... I wouldn't mind hiding out there except there'd be no Grainger:wub: , and that really says it all......

Yes!!! - Posting on a Saturday!! (or is it Friday there???) A wonderful addition to my Saturday porridge - sex with Granger! mind you after sex with his wife, the duke of Clarence, Calvert and a marine, I would imagine sex with me would be of the "I'm tired, wake me when you have finished" variety... while the addition of the marine into Granger's sexual repertoire is a not unwelcome event, I am begining to wonder what happened to all the men with small-to-average cocks in the 19th century? I suppose they all went to America .......

I am not so sure - I can certainly see some benefits, but also some of the great times I had when I was young were in part because of the utter innocence (ignorance?) with which I approached life. I still see it when talking with 25+ year olds who use their dangerousy small amount of knowledge to provide refreshingly new perspectives. (mind you, at my great age, I do find my ability to maintain my interest in this new and refreshing perspective is greater if the speaker is not only 25+ but also male and cute!!!)

a beautiful story wonderfully told. Graeme was concerned about superlatives increasing the size of Mark 's head - not sure that's a problem ((and there are so many places a clever writer could go with that statemnet), however provided he keeps writing his head can get as big as he (or anyone else) likes!!! suicide is a selfish decision, however in many ways it is just as selfish to tell someone not to commit suicide due to the hurt it will cause the surviviors.

Mark:worship: , yes, you did manage to write it very well. I find the whole issue of sex with minors utterly revolting and unitelligible, but I think what you managed to show was a child trying to make sense of what he was feeling and seeing and an adult who understood. i would however suggest that you and anyone else who writes on or around this issue to be careful; one phrase, taken out of context by someone, who wants to make a point, can cause serious damage. Almost against my better judgement, I am starting to enjoy the Box more!!! - of course Grainger is and always will be my favourite! - so, Mark just keep writing!

agree, and I have a photo of tab/stef that fits perfectly ..... however I can't get it to load!! as for Ian... hmm...ok, definately wouldn't toss him out, but he's not first in line to get into my bed either.....

BTW Mark I did mean to thank you for this latest installment. I do love Granger's sheer enjoyment of sex with the people he cares about and that he seriously does care about the people he has sex with - perhaps except the Duke of Clarence - that seems to be a bit more of a career-advancing f**k than anything more caring.

Dearest Mark , I can see that I could never be one of your "team"; they criticize you!! You will recall I tried that once, when I was young(er) and niaeve and you sent me a very nice note pointing out very subtly that I was wrong and what I should read to fix my "wrongness". So ever since then while others may be abe to criticize, I am happy if I can just keep worshiping..... now as far as an ending...we need a wedding; no bombs, though, just a wedding. secondly we would like it to happen soon...so that you can write more about Granger <sigh>. -

Mark , I agree. George III, meddled in politics and played a far too active role in the government. His son George IV for all his faults largely left Parliament to function - when he came to the throne he didn't throw out his father's government, as they had popular support. He did get annoyed at what his governmnet did but didn't try and overrule it... so all in all GIV may not be a perfect King, but at least he let the Government of the day govern. Now, it's Tuesday...... (here i Australia anyway....!)...... .

while a few stories ago I would have put JP as my "favourite" character, i like Stef's transformation; JP's transformation has been his losening, Stef's has been from pseudo-rent boy, through mega developer and housewife to a latter day Tonto - making a most interesting character. That said all the characters' "defend the family" attitude to all issues strikes me as a little too Republican for my taste.

BTW, no contest - Travers is the LOHL. Cavendish is pretty, available and willing, but after the great sex who would you rather have a conversation with Cavendish or Travers? no contest, as far as I am concerned.... I'd set up house with Travers and treasure the memory of Cavendish.

latest chapter: bloody brilliant! sex, intrigue and a great ending without being a completely articificial cliffhanger!! Mark , you are a wonder. You do seem to have a predilection for large cocks. the way you lovingly decscribe Cavendish's would imply that you see one like it, often????? i can imagine that Grainger is going to have another success at sea , but Wilcox will interpret it as disobedience and so the drama continues.
