  1. The first time that Curt (my boyfriend) ever kissed me. Yupp, I would have to say that was the best kiss I have ever had. I remember that my knees were weak and my head felt light.
  2. Some of those tricks I already knew. But a big waster of gas is when people don't plan their trips. If they are driving around town and doubling back and stuff, that could easily add another 5 miles to one's journey. Anyways, I have a better solution, I have a Trek mountain bike. Uses ZERO gasoline. Granted, it's only useful if I am going somewhere by myself, but using it from time to time sure keeps my gas tank from seeing that dreaded "E" as often.
  3. I detest bullies of all shapes and sizes (and I'm an ex-HS jock, go figure). So yeah, I'm not keen on the idea of men smacking women around. I don't even own any wifebeater T-shirts, because of the negative connotation that comes with them.
  4. I actually saw this coming, in that I have experienced the same thing (my ex-boyfriend Brian was drifting away from me). It's good that Jason went to Mrs. Gregory. She's like a second mom to him, so it's only fair that she knows the score. If anyone can fix this mess, it's her.
  5. "An image forced its way into his mind. They were standing, just like this, in the same place, an angry Jason about to leave, Peter holding his arm." I'm guessing that is a reference to when Jason left Pete's apartment in an angry mood the last time. And we all know what happened then (Pete was gay bashed). It's obvious (to me anyways) that Pete needs counseling. He's clearly on a path of self destruction. I'm not saying he is the next Charlie Sheen but if he doesn't clean up his act he will risk losing Jason forever.
  6. A sunny day in England? Sunny enough for sunglasses? Well, that should be a national holiday then.
  7. I'm just waiting for the day for when Justin Bieber comes out.
  8. Exactly. When I read a story here at GA, character development is everything to me. I want to know what makes them tick. Case in point is the excellent Second Shot. I know what Pete and Jason are doing in bed together; there's no need to give a precise play-by-play every time they get together.
  9. Nope, it's never going to happen. I do feel bad for people who are HIV positive (and it's not just gays who have it), but I can't knowingly put my health at risk like that. So do my BF and I bareback? Sure, but we are in an exclusive relationship. And we still get tested on a regular basis, just to be safe.
  10. Whoooohoooo! But there was never a doubt in my mind who would win best new author story.
  11. I thought it was a great chapter. Yes, if everything is rosy and wonderful, that would make for a boring story. Obviously, Peter has some inner demons that he needs to address right away.
  12. Wow, I never really thought that Peter had such low self esteem. That last part was almost painful to read (but it totally rocked though). I understand why they have to "keep it clean" at the grandparent's house, as I go through the same thing when I'm at Curt's. Speculating here, but if Jason and Pete do break up, it will be about the money thing. It's really the only thing driving a wedge into their relationship.
  13. Justin Bieber will be a future Charlie Sheen, mark my words !
  14. Saw this article in the LA Times today: http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-cover-internet-tax-20110227,0,7636764.story I'm sorry, but personally I don't feel like I should have to pay sales tax if I buy something from Amazon. It takes approx. a week for my purchases to be delivered to me, so that's the trade-off for buying something online. If I need something right away then I would go to Walmart, but then I get dinged for sales tax.
  15. He looks 100 times better with his hair off his ears. But my hair is still shorter than his, bwaaahaha!
  16. OMG, the guy in the video is totally annoying. I sure do have a label for him, and it's not something someone under 18 needs to see. Anyways, I'm very SA / SA (that's straight acting, straight appearing), but I have no qualms labeling myself as gay, because that's what I am. I'm not "confused" or bisexual; I know that I am 100% gay and I have zero problem with it.
  17. Wow, such a formal Christmas gathering. I never have to endure this when I do X-Mas Eve with Curt's folks. But then again, they have no idea we are a couple. Interesting how the 13 year old cousin already knew about Pete and Jason. My cousin knows my "status" but he's older than I am.
  18. Okay, I finally figured out who Jeff reminds me of. There's this show on TNT called Men of a Certain Age (I watch it with my dad). The lead character (Ray Romano) has a teenage son who could easily pass for a younger Jeff. His name is Braeden Lemasters. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1965417/
  19. It has recently come to my attention that I sometimes go overboard when discussing Glee. However, let us all consider these facts: The creator of the show (Ryan Murphy) is gay. Also gay in real life are Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) and Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel). This is FOX's highest rated Prime Time scripted show. It's also FOX's 2nd highest rated show overall (topped only by the ridiculous American Idol). Glee has already been picked up for a third season. In fact, FOX picked up the option back in September, when the 2nd season started. This almost NEVER happens, so the FOX suits obviously have confidence in the show. The show is hugely popular with the gay community. In fact, it has one of the highest viewerships among gay people for any Prime Time program on any network (CBS, NBC, FOX, etc).
  20. Loved it. As a huge fan of all things L&O, I was totally eating up all the legal back and forth. Jordan Colmar is a complete idiot if he doesn't take a plea bargain. Attempted murder with a hate crime attached? He'd be looking at a crapload of hard time.
  21. OMG! Okay, I am going to officially nominate Jeff to play the role of Peter Gregory in the Second Shot movie. Can you say Kute with a capital K?
  22. As I am a huge fan of Law & Order, I loved the legal back and forth stuff. Jason is no pushover, that's for sure.
  23. Yikes, my musical tastes change from time to time, so I guess I will list my current four: The Summer Set: anything off of Love Like This CD Bowling For Soup: A Really Cool Dance Song America (Wake Up Amy) Much More Beautiful Person Sad Sad Situation Blink 182: anything from Enema of the State and earlier CD's Simple Plan: anything they do, they are amazing
  24. Absolutely. I always know a story is a good one for me if it can make me shed a few tears. And a death plotline will make me cry every single time.
  25. Okay, I hate to be the voice of dissent, but this chapter just didn't cut it for me. I guess I was so used to the angst, and the touchy-feely stuff threw me off. I was actually expecting Pete and Jason to fight over the money thing. I guess it's good that they didn't tho, cuz I think I am all cried out from reading this excellent story.
