  1. I'll take the shampoo. But since I usually keep my hair very short, shampoo is just shampoo to me.
  2. Time for a new laptop? Mine is only 3 years old and has not failed me yet.
  3. LOL, poor Nicky. He gets yakked on twice, what are the odds? And poor Elliott, I saw this coming, where the love he feels for Nicky can't be returned.

    Summer Begins

I'll agree with Flashpoint, Hayden sure does have some hangups. If he's straight, then he's straight, and that's fine. But it wouldn't be the end of the world if he decided to go skinny dipping or do that "naked in the evening" thing. "BTW, where the heck is Dannys mom and didn't he also have biological siblings?" Hmmm, if I remember right, Danny used to be Danny Roma. And I can't even recall if he had any blood brothers.
  5. Well, that's two minutes and ten seconds of my life that I will never get back.

    Epilogue

Wow, just wow. I kind of guessed that Pete still had lingering problems from the attack, but nothing of that nature. So Jordan basically gets a life sentence. Do I feel any empathy towards him? Not one freaking iota. At least he's not a child molester, so maybe, just maybe, he will survive in prison. Although I get the feeling that he will try and take his own life, rather than being someones new "boyfriend". With Pete, I hope he can somehow put all of this behind him and move on with his life. Seeing as how he is so independent and strong-willed, I have faith that he can accomplish this.
  7. You forgot my favorite guy from Degrassi, now if only he were a bit older he could play Peter Gregory in the Second Shot movie.
  8. There is no tatt, I think we all know what happened to Joey's back. But that is what makes this story so good (and remember, it's total fiction). A story with no conflict and no angst is kinda boring.
  9. I'm now hearing that there is rioting going on either on or near the Penn State campus. What a joke.
  10. Unfortunately, the latest big sports story doesn't take place on the football field, it takes place in the locker room (supposedly). Yes, I am talking about Penn State.
  11. I told my mom when I was 15, but I knew before I told her, that her reaction would not be a negative one. Actually she was more surprised than anything, but she totally has my back. However, I waited until just last year to tell my dad, because I thought for sure he would be disgusted or something similar. I get the feeling he is still not 100% on board with my "lifestyle", but he isn't homophobic or anything like that. Pooter, unless you are totally sure your parents will be okay with your orientation, then it's best to stay in the closet.
  12. In my opinion, Jordan's age should not have anything to do with anything (when it comes to his sentencing). First off, he is a legal adult. And he comes from a good family, and he himself is well educated. Therefore he should know right from wrong. You know the old saying, "if you can't do the time, then don't do the crime". His actions were clearly motivated by hatred. He hated homosexuals and he hated Peter Gregory (and almost ended Pete's life). Therefore, he should have to pay the price, and accept the consequences of his actions. All he had to do was avoid Pete and not even give him a second thought. But nope, smug and cocky Jordan had to be a bully and now look what happened. So will he survive in prison? My guess would be no, he will piss off the wrong person and get beat up or even shanked. But that's another story for another time.
  13. LoL at Little Ricky. "Are you guys messing around yet?" That has to be the funniest line yet in this new book of CH. Poor Ricky , someone needs to teach that kid some social skills.
  14. I liked the use of the cliffhanger at the end. As readers, we can tell that Andy is already interested in "curly blond head boy". Will he turn out to be gay as well?
  15. I thought for sure that Uncle Soren would kidnap Elliott, once the two of them were in that small plane together.
  16. Yikes, I'm not sure I want to travel down this road, but oh well. Let's start with least to first. Castaway Hotel by Bill W, but I'm not sure if that really counts. The author himself re-tooled it. I actually started that one at NIfty and followed it here. You Pass This Way But Once, also by Bill. A classic coming of age tale with a semi tragic ending. Dom's Desert Dropping. To satisfy my inner "Rory Norick". Dom's Ordinary Us. For some reason, it wasn't as good the 2nd time around. Quinn really needed to get his shit together. Hanratty's Working It Out. A lot of it is very cliche, but at least there was the right amount of angst. And finally the last one (or two actually) should be obvious. Jason Tellerman and Pete Gregory will be part of my life forever. I've read tons of gay fiction (mostly at Nifty, ack!) over the last ten years, and I can honestly say that I have never come across two gay male characters that were as well defined as they are. It's almost as if they are my two best friends, sitting right next to me.
  17. Probably Tyler from "New Kid In School". Mainly because I would want to teach him that moving in on someone else's boyfriend is a big no-no.
  18. "Let's be clear, Jordan Colmar has a motive to mislead you; he's facing over a hundred years in jail if he's found guilty." So basically a life sentence. Wow, I knew it would be a lot of time, but I never really figured it would be that much. Remind me not to assault any straight people anytime soon, LoL. "that Jordan Colmar, angry that he lost his best friend, angry that his attempts to ruin Jason Tellerman's life failed, angry that most of his friends sided with Jason, and angry that he was humiliated by Peter Gregory when he tried to punch him, decided to lash out at who he perceived was the cause of his misfortunate: Peter Gregory." Well yeah, from watching L&O, it seems like motive is one of the key elements of the crime that McCoy always looked for. Why else would Jordan do this if he wasn't so completely blinded by his hatred of Peter. Again, putting my own personal feelings aside (which is why I would never be allowed to serve on that jury), I would convict Jordan in a heartbeat. Yeah right, he was trying to "help" Pete. And I'm the Pope I guess.
  19. Yupp, I kind of thought the story was a bit dry through the first 9 or so chapters. But the arrival of Elliot has sure made things interesting. I wonder who killed his father and why?
  20. Hell to the YES !!!
  21. I have no real issue with con-crit, as long as the reader explains exactly what didn't work for him or her. However, I think I have only done it once in a review, and it was to my favorite story! (and by now everyone knows what story that is)
  22. Oh this is easy. Me and the BF were home alone and taking care of business (orally) in my bedroom. So naturally I didn't have the door locked. Well, my younger brother had come back from his friend's place and wanted to borrow one of my CD's. Like a doofus, he didn't knock and walked right in on us. I still remember his only comment, "eeewww", and he covered his eyes with his hand. Good thing he already knew I was gay, or I would have been totally busted. It didn't bother me one bit that he saw me naked, as we have seen each other dozens of times. But the BF was not too happy about it.
  23. I'm gonna say the Promising Authors forum. Mainly because of Second Shot and Trial of Jordan Colmar.

    Coming Home

I had a feeling another boy would be on the way. Can Danny and Brandon handle the challenge? We will see.
  25. Wow, I never even thought about a sequel to this story (not that I am complaining). I wonder what the future has in store for the Currie boys, now that they are all grown up.
