  1. How the fuck could he be so stupid? Jordan? He outed himself in front of fucking Jordan! Pushing himself as if racing everyone for a ball, he tried to outrun what happened. It made no sense; he couldn’t escape what he said. Right now his emotions controlled him and they told him to run. Down the path, the rapid slap of his shoes on concrete breaking an otherwise calm night. Somewhere up ahead the field house and soccer field marked the end of campus. Jordan was going to tell his mother; th
  2. Jason stopped by the Java Shack after dropping Peter off. Contrary to what he insinuated to his brother, all they did last night was hold each other. Correction, Peter held him. If Peter was disappointed by that, he never let on. Jason smiled when he thought how safe he felt in his arms; even going home didn’t bother him. They spent the night in his bed, in his apartment. That still shocked him. Hell, everything about being with Peter shocked him. The fact he had a boyfriend, that his brother
  3. Jason and Dean spent the afternoon roaming the nearby mall. For dinner they hit Outback Steakhouse so Dean could, ‘eat a cow.’ Watching Dean finish the biggest steak he’d ever seen made Jason slightly queasy. Or maybe it was the greasy Bloomin Onion they shared. Then again, maybe it his mother’s reaction caused it. Probably all three, he decided. Peter already gave him crap about eating that much grease, but as Jason explained, that was what he and Dean did when they went to Outback.
  4. “So, what’s so urgent you have me come in on a Sunday?” Coach Slewman smiled, taking the bite out of his comment. “I told you it could wait, sir.” Jason’s stomach clenched, he thought he would puke; a common feeling for him lately. “I know, but if it was important enough for you to email me on a Saturday, I figured I should deal with it ASAP.” He motioned for Jason to sit, as he eased himself into his chair. “So what’s the problem son? The season’s over, so I assume it has to do with
  5. 1-9 from the Old eFiction are on the new GA Stories. I also posted 10-12. I should have 13-19 up by the end of the weekend which means Monday I will start posting new chapters - one never before seen - expect by my Beta Reader and Editor Andy
  6. Christmas Eve the whole Henry family was in attendance; his grandparents, aunt and uncle and their two families. His uncle’s daughters, Meredith and Michele, brought their boyfriends along; chumps as Dean called them. Aunt Karen had three children, none over 12. Her son, who was the oldest, tried to shadow him and Dean everywhere. Jason was better at tolerating Keith following them, having let Dean do it for years. When his dad mentioned Jason was named co-captain of his soccer team, his gran
  7. “What’s this?” Peter turned over the small box Jason gave him. “Today is Valentine’s Day.” Feeling incredibly pleased, Jason couldn’t stop smiling. “Happy Valentine’s Day.” Immediately Peter’s face took on the expression he always had when the subject of money came up. “Please,” Jason pressed on. “Don’t even pretend you didn’t get me anything. You buy me things for every occasion, real or imagined.” Peter laughed. “Mighty sure of yourself are you?” “Sure enough to know I didn’t do
  8. Jason woke up alone in Peter’s bed. The iPod clock he bought Peter said, ‘11:52.’ Peter’s absence surprised him. Normally Jason woke up when Peter got out of bed, but today he had no recollection of his boyfriend leaving. Listening for any sounds that would tell him where Peter was, he heard nothing. If he wanted to find Peter, he realized he would have to get out of bed. Late as it was, he was still tired. He and Peter were up late the night before having gone to Harrisburg for dinner and to
  9. Circling east around campus, Jason ran south, then north and finally west toward his goal; Peter’s apartment. Leaving before Darryl got back allowed him to visit Peter without raising suspicions; or at least that was his thinking. Tomorrow being Thanksgiving, he was going home for a few days. This was the last chance he would have to see Peter before he left. Beyond the few blocks of restaurants and other shops lay a stretch of road he rarely used before he met Peter. After just a few dat
  10. “Ice skating?” Jason smiled as they entered the near empty parking lot a few miles from school. “You can skate can’t you?” Peter didn’t seem concerned. “I bit late to ask me now, no?” He smirked. “Yes, I can skate. Haven’t since high school, but I’m sure I won’t make a fool of myself.” “No worries about that, it’ll be just you and me.” Peter motioned with his head to get out. “It doesn’t open until 3:00, so we have a couple hours alone.” “How did you manage that?” He followed
  11. Following the ill fated Philly trip, Jason found it hard to get quality time with Peter. Emily broke up with Darryl; evidently their weekends together did more harm than good. Add in the need to studying for exams and it was increasing difficult to find plausible excuses he could give Darryl for being absent. Twice he went running, ending up at Peter’s in the early evening, but both of those visits were cut short by Darryl texting to meet up to study. Twice in two weeks, he frowned pu
  12. To accommodate soccer, Jason scheduled most of his classes in the morning and tried to keep Friday free if possible. Away games often meant getting on the bus by 1 p.m. sometimes earlier. The school tried to schedule overnight away games on weekends to reduce the amount of classes student athletes missed. There were only 5 in the two seasons Jason had played, but he was told at the start of practice not to take a Friday class, but if he had to, not to take a class after 10 a.m. This semest
  13. The ride home seemed much shorter to Jason. Probably because their date was over when they got back. Much as he wanted to hang out more with Peter, he knew that wasn’t possible. Peter had to pick up his sister then go to his mom’s. Meeting the family was something neither was ready for. “I had a great time Pete.” Jason told him once he was parked in front of Peter’s apartment. “Thanks for planning it out like you did.” “Wish it didn’t have to end so soon.” Peter lamented. “Me t
  14. Putting on his helmet, Jason climbed behind Peter. He reached up to hold onto Peter’s shoulders again, then on a whim dropped his hands around Peter’s waist. Peter put his left hand over Jason’s squeezing it quickly. Taking it as a sign his hands were fine where they were, Jason held on a bit tighter as Peter kick the engine to life. Hamerton was not a big city, in fact it was really just a large town. A steel rolling plant north of campus once employed thousands from the area. Now the
  15. Reminding himself for the hundredth time this was not a date, just dinner, he still couldn't control his excitement. Washed, dressed, and ready, Jason stood outside waiting for Peter. Not sure where they were going, he opted for jeans and a light blue Polo dress shirt. He almost put on his soccer warm up jacket until he realized it would scream ‘soccer play on a motorcycle.’ Instead he grabbed his blue pea-coat and gloves. Maybe he should have met him instead of agreeing to a ride. Dinne
  16. Stuffing the last of his things into his bag, Jason tossed the wet towel into the bin. Everyone was showered and dressed by the time he finished running his laps; laps he got as punishment he reminded himself. Darryl got a reprieve when he pulled up hurt during practice. Coach sent him to the locker room to be sure it wasn't serious. Coach Slewman was in his office working on something when Jason stopped in the doorway. "See you tomorrow Coach." He called out. There were no hard feeli
  17. Running full speed, Jason pushed himself as hard as he could. To his right, a defender strained to keep up with him, trying to put himself between Jason and the goal. Half a step ahead, Jason took his eye off the ball long enough to see his teammate and best friend Darryl bolting for the center of the penalty area. Reaching the ball before the defender, he pushed it forward hoping to create space to take a shot. He could hear his coach screaming for him to shoot. Pulling up suddenly, he s
  18. What do you do when you are deep in the closet but you meet the man of your dreams? Do you take the chance and risk the consequences?
  19. With eBooks and what not being all the new rage, does anyone have any experience converting their work to an eBook format? Currently I use Pages [Mac's word processing program] but I routinely convert to Word for my beta reader and others. I have the Adobe eBook reader on my computer but was wondering if anyone has converted their work to an eBook format and if so, what program have they used, how easy is it, how happy are you with it? Basically what is your overall experience. Thanks Andy

  23. HAHA, that was funny. UVA is possibly better than U Penn in terms of law schools and American in not even a top 20 school last I checked. It is funny UD wants a Law School. Neither Penn State nor Univ of MD have Law Schools. [ Pitt and Temple, both state schools, do have Laws Schools however. In MD, I believe the Univ of MD Baltimore campus has one but not main campus.] I suppose they just want to provide the state with it's 'own' school. Where Widener is a Pennsylvania School whose Law school is in Delaware, UD would be a Delaware school. Maybe they don't like being beholden to other states law school grads. But, building a top tier law school from scratch has got to be rough going. Not only will it cost a bundle to find quality teachers, you then need to fight for students - and if there is no in state tuition incentive, I don't see it happening for a good couple decades. But what do I know.
