I'm gonna ignore everyone else's smart assed remarks and go with... SO cute Joey! Yay for you both! Love ya bunches, Viv
-
Too many titles to choose from. Since when does that happen? I mean, usually, I'm sitting here trying to think of something clever and catchy... So, this time the choices were... Zoey's home! FBTE is out... finally Joey made me do it! Thank golly for cell phones! Maybe you can help me decide on the best one... So, to elaborate on each possibility.... Zoey is, in fact, home! She is the little kitten we adopted and she's fantastic! There is a little something wrong with one of her eyes, it seems, so I think I'll take her to the vet tomorrow on my day off and see what we can do for her, cause as it is now, her eye is all watery and puffy and when she wakes up it's stuck shut with goop! OUCH!!! But, she's so sweet and cuddly, she sleeps with us, and I brought her home some toys from work cause she was bored and attacking anything that moves. I was joking the other day that I think she's like ADD kitten, cause she'll be doing something and totally lose track, but then I realized, that's a kitten for ya. It was funny to watch though... she would be bathing herself or washing her face, and then in the middle of it she would pounce on something that just happened to be next to her. Or yesterday, she was in the litter box, and she was digging in the litter and moving it around as cats do, and then she was like, 'hey, this stuff moves!' *POUNCE* wait... I was gonna pee, I think... wait! this stuff moves... As my angel said... TFC!!! (Too f**kin cute) And yes, FBTE 25 is out! Shocking, I know... please do try to contain yourselves.... You can find it here. http://viv.gayauthors.org/FTBEChapters/Fro...seEyes%2025.php So enjoy! So I was showing Joey some pictures I took of Zoey, and he said I should post this one cause I look hot in it... Anyway, I was looking through them and decided I guess I could post some... but, Joey made me do it! And if I'm hot, then it was all me And finally, THANK GOLLY for cell phones! I'm gonna need mine for a few weeks more than I already do, but anything for my Sweetie My boss asked me about promoting me... whatever. At least I'll get paid for the job I already do for them. Rich LOVES his new job! It looked for a while like he was gonna get suckered into working for the old job for a while until they could find a suirtable replacement for him, but I guess they figured something out, so that's even better! So, guess who I'm having dinner with next Tuesday?... Anyone? No? Well, I'll tell you. Snowy, the Snow Dog, Snoopy, the Snowy Puppy... It'll be fun Hugs, and don't forget to choose a title! Viv

In 1 to 10 days... We decided to adopt a kitten from the pound for the low, low price of $112 and she is SO pretty! Rambunctious little girl, grey and black tabby. When I went to pay for her, the woman at the window says, "She'll be ready in 1 to 10 days, 10 being the longest." Thanks for the clarification there ma'am. So, now, we are in the process of naming her... and much to my daughter's dismay, she won't be called Princess, Chloe, Sammy, Ginger, Rosie, or any of the other million names she has suggested in the last 24 hours. In other news, Rich starts his new job tomorrow! He called me on Friday while he was out to lunch to tell me that he just told the guy in the Togo's he always goes to, that it was his last day at that job so he probably wouldn't be back and that he thought it was SO COOL to be able to tell the guy when he asked him what he does, to say, "I'm an ice sculptor!" And I bought my darlin's birthday present and since his birthday is in 7 more days I hope it makes it to Scotland in time! AND!!! Steve's site is officially up and looking fabulous! Can you believe he did all that work himself?! Anyway, check it out, read some... he's really fantastic! http://shadowgod.gayauthors.org/ AND!!!!! Chapter 25 of From Behind Those Eyes is finished! Just as soon as our fearless leader gets home from his road trip, it's all yours! Now onto the summer anthology... Happy Birthday Luc!! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Hugs, Viv

Why do I have to feel like I have to defend myself all the time? I mean if I want to be who I am, and have the friends I want to have, and read what I want to read, and write the stories I want to write, why the f**K should you care? And, more importantly, why do I have to feel like I have to justify my choices about those things? "Why is every story you write a 'gay story'?" "They aren't 'gay stories'," I say. "They are stories that happen in the lives of people, some of whom happen to be gay. There is a difference." "Oh sure, that's easy to say. But how many of your stories have main characters that are gay?" "All of them... so what?" "Well why? I mean, why don't you have any with straight people?" "There are straight couples in my stories too..." "That's not what I mean. Why do you have to write about gay people only?" "I don't. And I don't just write about gay people. Besides, there are gay people everywhere." "Well, then why don't you write about straight people?" "I do, and why do you care anyway?" "I'm just asking...I just want to know why they all have to be about gay people." "Well, if you would read them, you would understand that they aren't about gay people, they are about situations, stories that happen to people. Some of them are gay, and some of them aren't." "Whatever..." Why does he even care anyway? I mean, what the f**K? And what kind of person makes huge judgements on something when he has no idea what he's even talking about? I mean, I might entertain the idea of discussing the amazing beauty I find in the way I have the ability to have two men, boys, guys, whatever... totally set aside their egos, and the whole alpha male bullshit, and the status of society, and just for once, communicate with their hearts. No contests about who's the strongest, or the richest, or the most successful, or the cutest, or who has slept with the most chicks, drives the fastest car, or the coolest one... just truth; maybe I'd discuss that with you IF... you had taken the time to read my stories and knew what the f**K you were talking about. Since you haven't... you can save your judgements, and your ignorance, and your naive claims of wanting to understand for someone else... I mean, I always joke about it, like I write gay erotica, but the truth is, I might actually be a little offended if someone classified it as gay porn. I'm not sure why... exactly... just, I put so much of my heart and soul, my feelings and my fantasies into my stories, that calling it porn seems... unjust. A few friends have said in the past that what I write is neither, not gay erotica, even if it is pretty damn hot, and not porn, even if there may be sex, or the implication of it, but that it is romance, they are love stories. Ones that provoke you to believe it can happen to you, that it sould happen to you, because everyone deserves to be loved, and more than that, that when it happens, you want it to be just like that. Seems pretty beautiful to me... he can go f**K himself... Viv PS. I may or may not be slightly more aggrivated about this then I might normally be since I'm pretty hormonal right now... but nevertheless, I believe what I said... Also, Rich just read this and asked me to make sure you all know it wasn't him...

WARNING! Personal revelations, read at your own risk
viv commented on Luc's blog entry in Luc's Dementia
Luc You are one hell of a man, a dad, a mate, a friend, and, I think, even a son. It seems to me that you're right about many things that don't have anything to do with your feelings here, cause you can't be wrong about how you feel. Rational reasonable thoughts don't occur when you are reacting in anger and out of pain, in defense. Also, just the fact that you know that, while it does put you ahead of the game, it doesn't fix things. And from someone who had to make the same decisions, sacrifices, with her dad when he died, I understand. As always, I know we don't often, but you know where I am if you need or want to talk, ever. About you, about Sam, about Scott, anything. Hugs, love ya Luc... Viv -
I was thinking yesterday on my drive home from work, where they had asked me to cover someone's shift on my day off who was apparently supposed to get suspended, and then didn't, and then when I walked in they said, "Oh shit! I forgot to call you to say nevermind..." and I was wondering if being optimistic is the same thing as having faith? To me, being optimistic means you hope for the best, hope that things will work out well, but having faith... well that's a different matter altogether. Having faith means you believe... believe it will work out, evidence unseen, no foreshadowing or hint of likeliness, you just believe. So if that's true... then I say they are definitely not the same thing. That, of course, begs the question that if you are neither, like me, then what are you? A pessimist? A realist? An idealist? Hmmmmm. So, I decided to look it all up... and here's what I found in my handy, dandy online dictionary.... Optimist - One who usually expects a favorable outcome. Faith - Confidence or trust in a person or thing. Belief that is not based on proof. Realist - A person who tends to view or represent things as they really are. Pessimist - A person who habitually sees or anticipates the worst or is disposed to be gloomy. Idealist - A person who cherishes or pursues high or noble principles, purposes, goals, etc. A visionary or impractical person. A person who represents things as they might or should be rather than as they are. I guess my answer, depending on the situation, is that I am a realist with idealistic qualities, or maybe that's backwards... who knows. Either way, I don't have blind faith in things, never have been good about that unless we're talking about love, and I'm not a pessimist, never could be... Maybe it's the romantic in me that just believes that when love is involved, everything will work out... but otherwise, you have to create your own happiness and go after what you want. Happy Birthday Sugar, my Natey Love you lots! Tony is buying a motorcycle and he better hope that if he gets hurt on it... Anyway, I'll kill him! Or something productive and healthy like that. I miss Davey like you can't imagine. I think we have never gone this long without talking and given the state of my hormones this week... well it's not a pretty picture. I love you Sweetie! Hugs, Viv

Heya Sugar! ~Happy 17th Birthday~ I'm really proud of all you've done this year, can't wait to see what you make of this one... Love you like crazy!!!

... I'm still short So I was at work on Saturday and may have witnessed one of life's oddities... This woman, at least 50, in way too short shorts, flip flops, and fake blond hair is complaining that her husband bought her some tulips from the store and that they aren't fresh. Apparently in her quest for the ultimate tulip she complained to someone in the department who allegedly told her that if she wants fresh tulips she'll probably have to go to Holland. Now, while I could see one of them potentially saying that sarcastically, totally as a joke, like how fresh can something be when you have cut it off the plant it grows on and are now buying it in a grocery store... I can't see any of them seriously saying it to her, but nevertheless, she freaks out and comes to complain to Eddie. Poor, poor Eddie, who apparently intimidated her because she kept backing away from him, so then she ends up talking to Lisa who is all of 110 pounds and my height. Lisa offers to refund and/or to replace her tulips, wants to know who said that to her so we can fix that, although how should she know who said it to her and then she demands that Lisa give her the district manager's phone number. They like us to handle this stuff at the store level cause it's just one less thing they have to deal with and they always end up giving the customer whatever they want anyway, so of course Lisa tried, but in the end ended up going to get the woman the number to our district office. When she comes back with the number, the lady is yelling at Lisa that this is not what she asked for. What did she ask for?! Lisa tries to explain that this is the number we are supposed to give to customers, cause like we're really gonna give out the guy's cell phone number to some whack job lady who's pissed about $5 tulips, so the lady yells, and I quote, "I do NOT call customer service~ Not now, not EVER!" while stamping her foot like she's all of seven years old. In the end, my new boss refunded her the tulips and she left, we decided in the manager meeting today that she must have been drinking So I came home Saturday night with a cold! I felt fine, just couldn't breathe... but who needs to do that right? Breathing is overrated... Anyway, I confirmed my plans with Steve and his sister after he offered to postpone since I was sick, but I said nah, let's go anyway. I worked a half day on Sunday for another girl who got guilted into going to the Galaxy game with her boyfriend, and then I headed home to change and wait for Steve and his sister. So I gave him directions to my house, and you'd think after living here oh... 26 years, that I would know how to get here... but apparently not cause I gave him the wrong directions! Evidently, I live to the left of the freeway, and not the right  but they found us anyway, thanks to my daughter who was in the front yard when they drove past and yelled, "Mooooooooooom, they're here!" So we all pile in my car cause parking where we are headed is a nightmare, especially on weekends, and somehow, Tony managed to end up with the keys I had tossed to Rich and in the driver's seat I figure being small, I'll volunteer to sit in back so Rich can sit up front since he's not so small, and Steve is asking me if we're gonna die?! I shrug and figure the three of us in the back are wedged in there tight enough that we'll be plenty safe. I beg Tony not to crash my car, someone, not sure who, points out that I have already done that myself so I should quit worrying. We are discussing what to do when we get to The Block, bowling and eating, and maybe a movie, the potential schedule, but since Steve and his sister have never been there before we're discussing the options available when I bring up the Vans skate park. Tony says if Steve's sister and I will skate, he's up for it. I tell him that I won't skateboard, but that I'll cheer for him instead like.... L-O-S-E-R! Well, then he replied with H-A-T-E-R! and then said Rich would say S-H-O-R-T-Y! So I and Steve and then I elbowed him cause... he's supposed to be on my side right?! Anyway, we ate, Tony made loud inappropriate comments, as usual, and then we walked over to bowl. Rich actually asked me what size shoe he wears... how does the man not know that information about himself? Anyway, we bowl, I only sorta didn't suck, and Tony grabbed my ball from behind! He was just mad cause he was losing even with all his special bowling moves. Then after that, we decided to miniature golf, so we all drive over there and had fun, again I didn't totally suck Yay me! Anyway, all in all, it was fun, and I'm mostly able to breathe again. Rich gave his boss his letter of resignation, the one I wrote for him and then his boss offered him a raise and a company car, but he said nope! He is going in to his new job tonight after he gets off from the old one, to meet people and get acquainted with what's going on there. I'm making chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight and I can't wait! FYI - Beware, the sweeties are PMS-ing Hugs to all, Viv P.S. I left you a comment Chris... don't make me come hug you! Cause I will! P.S. AGAIN! The countdown has begun 28 days!!

I'm working and hanging out with Steve~

I usually try and avoid that retort, but at this point, I'm speechless. Quick rant about work and then we'll move on kay? So at work we're having some promotion for the month of May where if you spend $25 on QUALIFYING PRODUCTS (see list that is rather specific) you'll earn two free movie tickets to the upcoming Pirates of the Carribean III. Sounds simple enough right? In fact, what a deal really, cause, out here at least, it's $10 a ticket, so this way you get the tickets AND all the products you buy. Right on, right? So tonight this family came in... went through another girl's line, she gave them the 'rather specific list', and then, they went shopping again and came through my line hoping to have accumulated enough purchases to earn said movie tickets. Also, we give them a running total of how much they have accumulated toward said movie tickets on every receipt so they knew how much more they had to spend to earn said tickets. So I ring their second purchase of the evening, and yes their total grew, but not to the $25 needed, and being the nice person that I am, and knowing what they are trying to do, I tell them they still have to purchase $3 more to earn their tickets. They grumble, and then send their teenage son through once more with something else, hoping to get to the $25 limit. Well, their accumulated total didn't change. Now, just for a minute, let all of us logical thinkers ponder why that might be, shall we? Ahh yes, likely cause the item he was purchasing IS NOT ONE OF THE QUALIFYING ITEMS!!! I pull out 'rather specific list', and point out that this item is NOT ON THE LIST and even offer to return it for them so they can purchase the correct products. So I get another manager out there to help him and do the refund since I have a line of people waiting to get the f**K out of the grocery store at 9 p.m. So the guy is pissed, and while she is helping him return the item, I try to tell her that he bought two of them, once when they came through my line, and then once again when they sent the teenage son through, so maybe he'd like to return both. Apparently he didn't appreciate that, and started screaming at me that it was my fault cause I didn't tell him he wasn't buying the correct products (note rather specific list in their hand) TOTAL SIDE NOTE HERE... since when do I censor people's purchases? If the guy wants to buy water along with his other 'qualifying items', who am I to refuse him that right? Anyway, after being yelled at, and trying to explain, and then the other manager trying to explain, we both gave up while he's screaming about our company going bankrupt (as if that's gonna happen) and how he paid for the stuff, we both just stopped trying to help the poor bastard. ... WHATEVER! Deep breath... moving on. So, in WAY BETTER NEWS, Tony is here!! Just pulled up out front in fact, home for the summer!!! In EVEN WAY BETTER NEWS, Rich got the job!!! Let me back up and tell that story as well. He randomly got a call one day on his cell phone while he was supposed to be at work, but wasn't, cause he had left an hour early so I could take him to pick his car up from the shop where it was being serviced before it closed at 5 p.m. It's some guy calling to ask him to come in for an interview, that apparently he had submitted a resume to over two weeks prior and then promptly forgot about. So he happily agrees, cause he hates his job that he has now, is WAY underpaid, and they are offering WAY more. He goes in for the interview, comes out of it actually feeling really confident and pleased, which for Rich, is HUGE, and then is asked to come back for a second interview the next week to 'prove himself and his skills' which of course was no problem cause Rich has mad skills (see my website ) So they tell him that they will let him know, that they want someone to start on the following Monday if possible. So he is eagerly waiting all weekend and hears... nothing All day Monday, nothing. So I convince him to call and ask, cause he really wants this job. He calls and they say something about trying to get a hold of him all weekend, although they never called... but that's neither here nor there, and ask him to come in for a third interview so they can narrow down the five possible applicants for the two spots they have. He goes in, kicks some more ass, and they say they will let him know for sure the next day. Again he hears nothing all day and is a total wreck by this point, and I'm about to smack him *stay with me man!* He calls again, and leaves a message and finally the guy calls him back and says that he hired one girl just out of school for really cheap, and his main concern was how much Rich wanted, asked him what he would be comfortable taking. So Rich tells him a number which is still a lot more than he makes now, with the promise that within the first year they will increase that by another $5,000 and the guy says that sounds acceptable and to email him a proposal. He does, along with the references the guy asked for, cause it's pretty uncouth to contact his current employer to ask about him when the current employer doesn't know he is out looking, and gets a call this afternoon saying they want him and he should give his notice and with any luck Rich's current boss will be the total asshole he always is and Rich won't even have to stay the two weeks. Also, humorously enough, the other girl that was hired is named... Vivian It's my 14 year anniversary in 29 minutes I love you babe! Next year, we will have been together for half of my life! Unbelievable... Tony is gonna babysit tomorrow so we can go out, just the two of us, ALL DAY!!! That like... NEVER happens so I'm WAY excited!! Anyway, I'm off to visit... Hugs everyone! Viv PS. Hi Chris!!!!

So, I think that I'm sorry we didn't get to see this during the anthology, but am SO glad we get to see it now! I started out reading thinking, good for Eli, and then quickly changed my mind, thinking, is he like... totally blind? Maybe Devon will help Eli realize what real love is as quickly as he has helped him find his muse again. I hope so, because for people like Eli, ones with great hearts who just give and give, they are the ones who should get to feel everything and deserve the things they always wanted or imagined. Thanks Com! Fantastic Hugs! Viv

The sun'll come out tomorrow, Cutie Love you like crazy!

JAMES!!! Don't be silly... we WANT to see you. All of you boys are waaaaaaaay too hard on yourselves. We're lovers of the male gender here right?! What have you got to lose? Besides, how can we gossip openly about how cute you are if we can't see you? Hugs, Viv PS. Mark... always a charmer?

So I was talking to someone the other day, I think it was Will, (hi Will! we should talk again soon, cause it was fun! ) and I mentioned something that I have wondered for a while. Anyway, when I was talking to Steve last night, and we were talking about how f**kING AMAZING Luc is, and how The Shower ( http://luc.gayauthors.org/daydreams/theshower.php ) was SO FANTASTIC, just perfect really, and I mentioned it to Steve and that made him wonder too, so now we wanna know dammit! What do you guys think... when you read the sex or love scenes authors write? Do you wonder if the scenes are real experiences of theirs, or if they are imaginary, fantasies, something they saw once and thought was provocative (hot)? Do you read them and wonder what our preferences are, or if we are good in bed? Or is it more like... you are so (hopefully if the writing is any good) wrapped up in the story and the characters that it doesn't cross your mind? Maybe it doesn't cross your mind at the time, but then later it does? Tell us what you think!! Okay moving on from that... I have FBTE 25 a third done so hopefully, and with any luck it will be out next week sometime, but I'm not making any promises I can't keep since my big bro Jeff is visiting this weekend from the other side of the country. But that's just an update for those of you who have been emailing and asking, or just wondering and not emailing So my old cell phone, the one I have had for like... ever (as in, I have had it SO damn long I can't even remember how long ago I got it) retired last Friday and I had to go get a new one. So I got this Samsung Blackjack ( http://www.samsungblackjack.com/ ) and now I have to learn how to work it But all the boys like it You know boys and their toys right? Rich is holding out till June for the new Apple iphone that's coming out for the low, low price of $500  but he just got a new one.... whatever I was just in the car and I heard, what may possibly be, one of the most ridiculous commercials ever! It's for Pizza Hut, which I like, and it's got this girl in it who is talking all about how it's the best pizza and how her boyfriend works for Papa John's Pizza (which I like also) and how she always has to pretend with him that it's the best pizza. Then it goes on to say how Pizza Hut pizza was chosen over Papa John's and Domino's (which I hate, and that says a lot cause I LOVE pizza) every time 'among people with a preference'. ... Well DUH! if you have a preference then you PREFER it... of course you would choose it. Are they kidding? Anyway, my son had his first field trip EVER yesterday Too cute! And he went for his first sleepover last weekend at his cousins! My sister in law told me some story about my son in his pajamas and a cape, while his cousin, wearing a teenage mutant ninja turtle costume from last Halloween and carrying a light saber, and my niece in some type of costume ran by in a hurry to somewhere to apparently slay some evil doer or something. So I have this 'gay' story... Every day I pick my son up from school, and then we have to wait 30 minutes for my daughter to get out cause she's in the upper grade, and since it's just far enough from the house that all I would be able to do is drive home and then turn around and drive right back to the school, I just hang out in the parking lot for the half hour and read, or write, or talk on the phone (usually with my angel ) Well my friend Joe, he has the same deal. Get there to get the little one, wait 30 minutes for the older one, and he has a son one year younger than mine, so they like to play while we wait. Normally we'll park near each other so the boys can play, and sometimes they'll play in my car, and sometimes they'll play in his van. Well Joe's son is VERY lovey, a hugger, and all about the kisses and 'I love you's' and so the other day it was time to go, so I told my son to say goodbye and get in the car, and so Joe's son hugs mine, and then kisses him, and my son was like So I was slightly ammused and when he got in the car I said something to him like 'Did he kiss you goodbye?' like it was no big deal, and my son (5 years old) said, "Yeah, he thinks I'm gay..." Thanks the not so nice, and slightly older, new neighbor boy for teaching him the word in a bad way, and forcing me to teach him what it really means, and that it's not a bad thing (at 5 years old) but at least he's using it properly... sort of. So I told him I was pretty sure that's not what the other boy (who is 4 years old) thinks, and that he was just saying goodbye, and so my son says, "Oh... okay," *shrug* But yikes right? So I forgot to mention in my comment in Steve's blog about our night out, (yes that's right, if you haven't read it yet, Steve and I hung out last Saturday and had SO much fun as written here http://www.gayauthors.org/forums/index.php...;showentry=5782 )... anyway as I was saying, I forgot to mention, cause I got so sidetracked about how good he smells , that he is REALLY smart, which I was only reminded of again the other day when we were on the phone with my sweetie So as promised, I have ammended the situation! Hugs and Kisses everyone! Have a great weekend! Viv PS. Don't forget to tell us what you think about the sex scene stuff I asked about up there ^! WE WANT TO KNOW!!!!
