PLEASE vote, If I can figure out how to make this poll work...
viv posted a blog entry in Viv's Blog
If you have no idea who S t e v e n is or need to evaluate some evidence... you can do that here S t e v e n's Gallery I, myself, would like to point out numbers 106, 101, 95, 77, 70, 48, 45, 44, 33, 32, 30, 25, 11, 6, 3, 2, 1... so like... all of them Anyway, besides that, there's not a lot to tell really. I've been working, and tired, and my house is a disaster so I'm going to round up the troops as soon as I'm done here and make them help clean up since this is what happens when I work three nights in a row, go out the fourth night, and worked day five. I suppose I could tell the story of going out with Steve, but he said he was gonna blog it, so I'll wait and let him tell you, but it was fun, and a good time as always. Oh, so... I got this free razor in the mail, so I thought... 'what the hell' right? I think there are like four blades on this thing, so I'm wondering if I have any layers of skin left after using it. Got to get going on FBTE 26.. I started it a while back and had like one paragraph written and couldn't go forward... and now I realize it's cause I didn't like where it started so I'll start again See who can outsmart an unwritten chapter... HAHA! So this San Fransisco trip is beginning to sound exciting. There are so many people I wish could go, who probably can't for one reason or another, and truth be told... if it was anywhere else that I couldn't drive to, I most likely wouldn't be able to go either. On the upside... it'll be cool to get to finally snuggle my Cutie myself instead of via other people he gets to meet and if other people come, too... I'll likely not see anything of the city and only them Hugs everyone and have a great weekend! Viv PS. Please vote in case you got distracted looking at S t e v e n's Gallery! -
So my SUPER BIG BOY started first grade yesterday. I know SO early... but we have year round elemetary school here so... anyway. I was sorta pissed off yesterday when Rich and I went to drop him off cause they had the walkway all blocked off with signs saying 'No Parents Beyond This Point'... I'm like... yeah, he's 5. I know we were just here last night to see what class he was in and who his teacher was, and we walked over and showed it to him and where he is supposed to line up, but... yeah, he's 5. So I ask him if he knows where he is supposed to go, does he remember where we went yesterday? He nods, I give him the "I love you, and I'll see you after school. Have a good day" speech and he walks off hesitantly but in the right direction. So we stand back and watch (well Rich watched cause I'm basically the height of most of the sixth graders there) as he walks over. So I ask if he's in the right place and Rich says nope, so I decide I am going to go get him and get him to the right place where he is supposed to be. Rich says, "You can't do that. The sign says...." and I said, "Watch me " and walked over and got my kid and put him in the right place and left. Next complaint about that system is... I didn't get to see his teacher so when I went to pick him up I had no idea who I was looking for. We don't pick them up at the classroom, but instead, the teachers walk their classes out to us where we all wait behind these 'No Parents Beyond This Point' signs. Luckily my daughter was with me yesterday and she pointed out his teacher to me and so I walk over to get him and say hello and she asks me which child I'm there to pick up. I tell her and she says, "Absolute DOLL!! " so I say, "Thank you!! " and we head home. So day two... I pick him up and she says to me, "I'm gonna have to challenge this one, he's a GREAT reader!" So, I say, "I know! " and we head home. In other news... Tony is perfecting ways to irritate the holy hell out of me while home on summer vacation... So on to the neighbor situation... I went back the next evening to visit with Tony and the kids. We walk in and get our high tech  security bracelets and then walk over to the ICU. You have to call from outside into the nurse's station and if it's an okay time to visit they let you in, so I do that. We walk in and through a few hallways and into his room where he is asleep. I don't want to wake him up, but then the doctor walks in right behind us and wakes him up to check on him and talk about the procedure they had done earlier on his heart and what will happen next. So I listen and ask a few questions and the guy leaves. My daughter has no idea what he's talking about and I think that scares her, cause she can obviously see him sitting there and talking to the doctor, and she;s about to cry so I take her out into the hallway and tell her that she can't go getting all upset in there cause she'll upset him and he needs to be calm. So while we're in the hallway she asks me what room my mom was in and I point and then she asks about his wife, and I point across the hall. Anyway, once she calms herself down enough, we go back in where Tony is explaining to Jesse what the doctor was saying, since without his hearing aide on, he wasn't quite sure what was happening. Only major life information going on here... So Jesse says to me, "So, that was your mom's doctor, huh?" and I nod as I'm eyeing Tony worriedly who is like WHAT!? Ugh! So his dinner comes, I help him get it situated and cut his chicken for him and then tattle on him to the nurse about not wearing his hearing aide, and would she please make sure he has it on when the other doctor comes to talk to him later. So he's eating, and his son walks in, and Jesse asks him where his wife is and he says, "Uhh well, see... some lame excuse." So I was pissed, and then Jesse asks me if I could explain to his son what the doctor had said earlier when he had been in, so I do, and the asshole is getting annoyed that some 'neighbor girl' is there telling him about HIS dad. And I was about this close (_) to telling him to go f**K himself! Anyway, so we leave cause I'm pissed now and we're walking out and Tony is ahead of me with my daughter, and we get to this part in the hallway where he has to decide whether to turn right or left, and he goes right, and I tell him no, we need to go left so he follows me and we walk out and I think it's sort of weirding him out that I know my way around there so well. So I ask him if he remembers being there before and he says he remembers the hallway but that's about it, and I think, THANK GOLLY! So Jesse's daughter calls last night while I'm at work and tells Rich he should be coming home today and that she will be staying with him tonight, but that she has to go back home on Friday for some appointment and that Meals on Wheels should be coming and probably social services, too. She tells Rich she thinks social services is going to tell him his house is unfit for him to live in, which it definitely is not. Yeah the man has a LOT of stuff, what old person doesn't, and yeah he hasn't changed a damn thing in the three years his wife has been gone, but so? It's clean, he has food in the refridgerator, and he's been just fine up until now on his own. Rich wants me to go over there tomorrow and make sure that she isn't pushing him into doing something he doesn't want to do, becausee she told Rich she wants him to com emove in with her and then what? Sell his house and she can spend the $500,000 and charge him rent? I dunno... Anyhoodle, I'm off to work in a bitty and then off tomorrow YAY!! and I get to spend the day with Davey and then my night with Steve and Rich hanging out. Hope you guys have a great weekend! Hugs, Viv

Hmm, I think I read something like this once... VERY provocative offer, Luvuh You know I'll share with you! I even said I'd donate my back seat and everything!
-
Joey it's okay cause... see I'm not sharing you anyway
-
I'll most likely be there too... well, Rich and I Can't wait!! And I'm pretty sure I'll have a back seat rider or two that come along (and no, not the kids)...

Anything that doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. God only gives you what you can handle. When the going gets tough, the tough, get going. Etc... Who decided I needed to be this able or any stronger than I already am, which if I do say so, is pretty damn strong already. I have had one heck of a time since Wednesday. Let me see if I can explain this in a way that will make sense... So, where I live, across the street is a neighbor, Jesse, and he has been my neighbor for the last 27 years since we moved in here when I was 3. Jesse, and his wife Linda, who died about 3 years ago have always been family to us because we don't have a lot, and the family we do have is pretty far away so we sort of adopted each other. So, Jesse is 75 years old now, and we don't see as much of each other as we did when Linda was alive, but my kids see him often, he's like a Grandpa to them, and I help him out with things like getting groceries for him or whatever. So, my old neighbor guy across the street calls me on Wednesday and asks me if i'm doing anything that afternoon and I tell him that I have to work that night, but otherwise, no. Why? What's up? He says, "Well *wheeze* I was just wondering if you could *wheeze* drive me over to the hospital *wheeze*" So I'm like "Umm, okay. Are you okay?" He says, "Well, I think *wheeze* that I'm... what do you call it? Like when it's hot?" So I say, "Dehydrated?" and he says, "Yeah *wheeze*" and so I say, "Of course, are you ready to go now?" and he says, "No, I still need to take my shower." So I'm like wtf?! and I say, "Okay..." So he tells me he'll call me when he's ready. Okay, so then I wait, and wait, and wait till I'm like freaking out he collapsed or something so I send my daughter over to see if he's ready, and she comes back crying and she's so scared... what if something bad happens? So I say, "Is he ready!?" and she says, "Yes... he'll meet you at the door." So I go move my car by his driveway so he won't have to walk so far, and I go knock, but he's pretty close to being deaf and I can hear his dog barking, but he can't hear me knocking, so I walk in and I can hear him moving around somewhere, and I'm calling out, "Jesse, Jesse," and I find him in some room wheezing and I'm like OMG, get in the car, and we have to stop at the couch on the way out so he can sit down and catch his breath. So I finally get him to the car with his fanny pack and his bag o' prescription drugs, and we drive to the ER which is like three minutes away. So we're in the car and he can barely breathe or walk, but he says, "So how's the new car? It's pretty nice." Anyway, then I can't even stop by the ER door to get him out cause there's like 5 ambulances parked there so I have to park in the regular parking lot and leave him in the car and run in and ask for a wheel chair and run back out with the two girls to get him out of the car. So then I have to sign him in and when I say he can't breathe, they put us right in and then we are talking to the nurse who is trying to find out what's wrong, what medications he takes, etc and he can't hear her, so he is trying to put his hearing aide on while she is grumbling about how that might be a good idea and I'm telling her what I know, and then she asks him his age... OH BOY! He says, "Well... I want you to guess," and we both are like so she tells him, "No! I don't want to guess, and it's my job to ask you and you're going to tell me!" So he grumbles and says... "75" and I'm like... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! So, anyway they won't let me back there with him cause I'm not family, so she sends me home and I call later and they admitted him. And... the kicker to the story is he called his son, I guess before he called me, who lives nearby to see if they could take him and the wife said she could take him but not till later... she has to pick up the kids... wtf?! So I finally dredge up enough oomph to go in there and see him today and he is like 2 rooms down from the room my mom died in and across the hall from where his wife died and... just ugh! Apparently, he also has the same heart surgeon my mom had, and we had to talk all about that, so, yay for me... but I tried to reassure him and told him not to worry too much. He is having his angioplasty procedure in the morning, unless that goes haywire, and then they will be installing a defibrilator into his heart, unless that won't work, and then he'll have a pace maker. Anyway, so we left to go have dinner, and then Avril lavigne's song, "When You're Gone" came on the radio and I was crying... Besides that, in case anyone is interested... Davey and I both type 41 words per minute according to the online test we took, not that that is at all surprising to either one of us So last night I want out with Steve again. I picked him up and we went to eat and while we were eating, there was this couple across the way from us in this booth, and I was complaining that it bugs me when people where their sunglasses inside at night. Anyway, so I was wondering to myself if they were on a date, but I never said anything, although apparently Steve had been watching them, and when they stood up to leave, the one guy put his arms around the other guy's waist and was kissing him So the guy is like but not in a weird 'omg you're kissing me' way... more like an ' you do remember we're in public' type of way, and they almost stumble into our table so we at them. Then we wandered around in Borders for an hour waiting for our movie to start, and then we went and saw "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" SO FREAKING FUNNY! And Lance Bass... that is all. Hugs, Viv PS. Having a LOT of fun talking to Billy and Sweetie... ALWAYS YOURS!

Hey you! I hope you have a fabulous birthday girlie! Lots of luck to you this year! Hugs and happy Birthday wishes, Viv

... with Steve. For some reason, he and I always seem to find a way to discuss the fundamentals about things, and I find it rewarding and fascinating. Uplifting, and the moments of clarity that come from thinking things through, seeing all sides of it, are immensely valuable. I think I'll ask him when we're done if I can post it... FANTASTIC Anyway, moving on for now... I made a resume OMG! I'm only partailly sure why I even did that, but there are times when I think to myself, 'dammit! I really need to make one' so I did. I'm good at using fancy, big words, but in the end, I'm definitely lacking major things like professional experience and education in the field I prefer, or want to get into I guess I should say. Not sure what I'll do with it yet... but now I have one, so.. yay me, right? I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who commented in my forum, or sent me an email, or a message about UTBOS. You guys are the best! I absolutely love hearing your opinions on what has happened to the characters so far. I know some authors won't read any comments till the story is finished for fear of being led astray from their original plot line, but I love it. It helps me to know that you guys are right where I want you to be, or that I maybe need to clarify some things more, so thank you! Okay so the verdict is... YES!! I can post it so here goes... You're entering this chat already in progress We are discussing an article that appeared in the LA Times about kids coming out in today's high schools and colleges and the 'acceptance' or 'tolerance' they are being welcomed with. shadowgod says: freakin heroes alot of these kids are Vivian says: what makes someone a hero? Vivian says: bravery? shadowgod says: yeah shadowgod says: the ability to look fear in the face and walk towards it Vivian says: well what makes someone a hero versus stupid... sometimes fear is rational and the effects of walking towards it can't be undone shadowgod says: true shadowgod says: they're blazing a trail shadowgod says: they may not be the first shadowgod says: but still the moxy to say 'hey this is me' shadowgod says: its admirable Vivian says: absolutely. and they say that one person can't make a difference shadowgod says: like graeme's signature shadowgod says: if you think your too small to make a difference, try being trapped in a room with a misquito Vivian says: yeah i saw that and i thought... ahhhhhhh! and how profound shadowgod says: lol shadowgod says: i dunno i still see brighter days ahead shadowgod says: bush and his constitutional amendment are on their way out Vivian says: i wonder if the brave ones are the people you come out to who can see past themselves and beyond just 'tolerance' and on to acceptance shadowgod says: hrmmm Vivian says: and not acceptance of you, but acceptance that what they think really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of your life shadowgod says: good point Vivian says: i mean it would be nice to be accepted for who you are, no matter what, but it's not in most people's innate nature to not label something, not classify it, not be threatened by something they don't understand and to just say 'good for you' Vivian says: in that sense it seems they are walking bravely into the unknown as well shadowgod says: there are so many other ways to label a person outside sex though shadowgod says: how do the laws of attraction change who a person can be? Vivian says: you know, great point! Vivian says: i just finished reading this story today Vivian says: where the guy has known since he was 12 that he was gay and in love with his best friend who he thinks is straight Vivian says: and in the end, when the best friend is finally explaining how he feels to the guy, he says something like... i fell in love with you, not a guy, not a girl, but you, my friend for 15 years Vivian says: i was pretty moved by that because it's a perfect example that the heart isn't limited by sexuality shadowgod says: shadowgod says: how wonderful Vivian says: i thought so Vivian says: http://www.nifty.org/nifty/gay/college/thats-life/ Vivian says: i have some issues with how it's written cause you know me... but the plot and the story and the lesson in it is amazing shadowgod says: I'll have to give it a read shadowgod says: Is it normal to question humanity constantly? Vivian says: hahahaha Vivian says: yes! when you are the minority in a world full of stupid, it seems necessary shadowgod says: for the most part I'm optimistic about the future shadowgod says: about people in general shadowgod says: maybe its moments like last weekend thsat pull me back into reality Vivian says: there is this great line in the movie hairsprsay... she says 'i hope you both are prepared to deal with a whole lot of ugly coming from a long line of stupid' and the girl says, 'oh, so you met my mother' Vivian says: in that case it was about integrating races... 4 or 5 decades ago, but it's basically the same principal here Vivian says: 4 or 5 decades from now it will be something else shadowgod says: yeah ... whats wrong with man/goat love! Vivian says: hahahhaa shadowgod says: I say we start championing it now! shadowgod says: just to be ahead of the game Vivian says: get a head start? Vivian says: look at you being an overachiever shadowgod says: lol Vivian says: you would definitely be a few goats champion, that's for sure ******************************************************************************** So? What do you guys think? Hugs, Viv

Happy Birthday Girly Hugs and kisses, Viv

Toby is... fantastic! He's got a great heart and isn't afraid to work hard or get his hands dirty, he is loyal, and smart, and sweet, and (even if he disagrees) a very good looking man. And apparently, a great bedtime storyteller, too!
-
Where's an editor when you need one? SO... you know what I think... but umm, in case I haven't mentioned it lately... I'm really glad that you're proud of who you are, even if there are still some idiots out there who... need to pull their heads outta their asses long enough to see that we didn't ask them for their vote, and that even though they think they should get one, they don't. I know that it sucks, especially when it's 'family' that's being... *insert words here* but, then again, maybe they just haven't known anyone they could love or respect as much as you. I know you aren't all about rainbows and announcements to the world, but someday, you being the REAL gay man in their lives will help them to see that whatever they think they know or feel about the subject may be contrived, read TOTALLY WRONG. Love, Viv PS. This friendly face is proud to be at your service, too.

... By: Toby! Tobias says: Want me to tell you a bedtime story? Vivian says: Please Tobias says: Oookaaaayyyyy Tobias says: Long, long ago Tobias says: Princess viv, who was 30, but still looked as sexy as 18, was captured by a huge dragon Tobias says: The dragon captured her because princess viv was the best anthology writer in the whole country and the dragon loved anthologies Tobias says: So her handsome and brave husband, prince rich, came to rescue her Vivian says: I like it already Tobias says: But when he tried to rescue viv, he saw that she was in no danger at all. the dragon was a nice dragon, and so he found viv and the dragon playing scrabble. Tobias says: But the dragon didn't want to let viv go because he felt so lonely Vivian says: Was I winning? since I am the WORDMASTER!! Tobias says: So, price rich searched the whole country for the nicest and best looking dragon he could find Tobias says: But whatever dragon prince rich brought back, the other dragon didn't like. prince rich nearly didn't know what to do anymore when princess viv whispered something in his ear. prince rich started smiling and went of to search for another dragon again Tobias says: One week later (in the meantime princess viv made pancakes), prince rich came back with a new dragon. this time, a handsome blue male dragon with green spots instead of pink, as the female dragon before. Tobias says: The dragons immediately fell in love with each other and princess viv could go home back to her handsome prince Vivian says: With bananas? Tobias says: Two weeks later they dragons had the first gay-dragon-civil-union and prince rich made them a nice dragon-ice-sculpture while princess viv wrote them a lovely story Tobias says: The End  Thanks Cutie, I'm sure I'll sleep so sweetly tonight now that I'm back home with my Prince Hugs, Viv

I wish Billy could find a way to see that his mom probably just feels guilty about falling apart and needing to lean on him instead of being the one that gets leaned on. Maybe he can't see it now, but I hope he does, cause being the man of the house is exactly what he did, even if it doesn't feel like it to him, even if he was uncomfortable, as any 14 year old boy would be. I love that Brandon is telling Billy to go be with Sam, and I suppose I understand that until Billy comes out to Sam it would be awkward for Brandon to be there given their past history, but I hope that happens soon, too so Sam will chill out and stop being so pissed at Billy. One or two lunches is not gonna fix that friendship. Ugh... I'm with Billy on this whole Bobby thing, but he HAS to fess up. Bobby is gonna be crushed. Brandon is gonna find out. I can see the drama now and I'm cringing. Good luck Billy! Thanks Com Hugs, Viv

Arguments for pouting: At the time of this blog post, 222 of you have read my last blog, and no one commented except my Angel, and that was only cause I whined to him about how no one was commenting and how worried I was. I *thought* that everyone here knew by now that they could say anything to me and not have to feel anything but completely comfortable about it. I mean I share huge pieces of myself all the time between my blog, and my stories, and my characters. It's possible this would help push my MDSing/PMSing to a new level.... Arguments against pouting: The person I wroted the story for, LOVED it, and I think that's all that I *really* care about. Some people sent me messages on MSN to tell me how great it was, or ask what the heck got into me? since it's not my normal style anyway. I look SO much cuter smiling, than pouting. Not everyone is like me in the total and complete openness of their lives and emotions. So I had the funniest phone call with Davey the other day, but he said it was blog material so I think I'll let him blog it as long as he makes me out to be mother of the year or something great like that. Angel: I'm not gonna say anything more than... I'm VERY proud of you for being an active participant in making your life, and yourself, more happy and fulfilled! Good luck! It's Steven's birthday today! Happy Birthday! Also, Ronnie, and Eric, and like SO many people born in July! Rich was last Sunday too! So Rich has been sorta stressed and frustrated at work because there have been a lot of people shifting around positions, and he is supposed to be heading up the art department, lead graphic artist, etc... but the old guy, who chose to leave that position to be a salesman, is having trouble letting go. I think it should get better now though, since the boss told him to back off. I met a guy he works with yesterday, and one of his bosses, and they seem like nice people so that's cool! So FBTE is gonna start wrapping up, FINALLY, and then I think I may rewrite the beginning chapters.. I know previously I had said I thought I shouldn't, but the other side of that argument is... If I want to send it out to someone and try and get it published... it has to not suck. Anyway, we'll see... I don't know if anyone would publish something that is on the net for free anyway, so who knows. So I may be meeting up with someone I met online through my Angel, and I'm pretty excited, cause this guy does SO much for the Gay community in helping to teach and educate people who have issues based on religion. I'm not religious, at all, nor do I have issues, at all, but it would be interesting to meet him and hear what he is doing and how he does it. So I'll let you all know... Anyway, I'm gonna go eat some 'offensive to my Luvuh' pizza and then do some errands before work. Thank golly I have the weekend off! Hugs and kisses, Viv P.S. To pout, or not to pout? that is the question. Also, I'm not sure if MDS stands for Missing Davey Syndrome or Me and Davey Syndrome, since we tend to adopt the other one's mood before we even know they are in that mood, but I just thought some of you might be wondering what that meant.
-
Happy Birthday, Steven! My handsome prince has become a King! Hugs, Vivian
-
I can't wear Rich's cause his head is too big... er, bigger than mine But I think that, you know, something like 80% of your body heat escapes through your head so maybe I should wear one more often... Hugs Luvuh, Viv

So, I heard, on good authority, that this was about the best thing you have written yet! So... I read, as I have a tendency to do, far too much sometimes... and it seems... well, suffice it to say that I believe the following to be true: You write some of *the* MOST technically detailed stories that I have ever read. Accurate, descriptive, educational, they make me think that you have done whatever it is you are describing. That leads me to believe that either you have, or you have one hell of an imagination! It seems like everything comes together in the end, plot wise, and there is your 'happily ever after' ending that I so love, but sometimes I feel like I'm more connected to your plots than your characters, if that makes sense. Normally, for me anyway, I connect with people, and the plot is just some small sliver of their lives that I happen to be privy to seeing, and in doing so, I feel and experience things right along with them. I'd love to see what you could do if you put as much detail into what your characters are thinking and feeling, rather than having the plot try to make us understand, but maybe that's just your style, too. Either way, I was quite impressed with your story and how broad it was with all the pieces fitting together beautifully in the end, as always. Hugs!! Viv

I dunno, but I think that Billy needs to take a lesson from his own life and how it felt to be deceived by Sam and Joanna, and be honest with the people he cares about before he ends up hurting people he cares about, too. And, besides, here's the perfect opportunity for Jimmy and Bobby to both have someone that would appreciate them for their great hearts and the love they have to give. Besides that, I love that he and Brandon are finally opening up to each other. And, it must have been so hard for Billy to see the strength and safety in his life falling apart, and not only that, but to have to try and brace her, support her break until she can repair it. It takes a brave person to take that on and not run like hell as fast, and as far, as he can. I'm proud of Billy.
