CHAPTER 16 - Kai It was around 11pm when I turned in for the night - my first night at ‘home’ - and lay awake for a long while, letting the day pass through my mind. A few chapters ago, it lit up a bit about those. I felt I should address it 'officially'. So you can influence the story. A little. Well, tiny, perhaps. 😉 Actualy, I was listening to 'Slave to the Rhythm' by Grace Jones, when I wrote this. Funny, now that I think about it - I was writing on Confounded III when this popped into my head. I've mentioned this. However, I didn't mention that I was in a ABBA phase at that time, and listening to "The Day Before You Came", as well as "One of Us" and "Knowing Me Knowing You" (on repeat). I think I'm a walking dead man if I don't write some sex-doing in this story. 😂 Yeah, that was cute, wasn't it? She's funny. She gets to do what Adam wants to do but doesn't dare yet. She doesn't have that inhibition. So it is. Yes, Adam is learning. He's not been lucky with his choice of men, which connects him with another...it will create a bond with someone, you'll read this soon enough. As said elsewhere, you're reading it too literally. It doesn't mean they can't go out and work, or do whatever they wanna do. It's meant to convey there will be someone at home at the end of the day, even when his dad is traveling for work. Kit knows what the deal between his parents is and why he can't come to live with his dad. It's no strange thought, considering he's living it.

You're reading it a little too literally. What is meant here is that Mitch had a deal with Kit's mother, that there would always be someone home. Not literally in the house, just present/on hand. If Mitch was traveling, he'd not even be in the same state. 😉 I could've done a better job of explaining this, back in...ehr, when was this written again?

Might want to try Confounded III, also. This story popped into my head while writing that, and I have to stay with this for a while, before I return. It's not on hold, but you may like that atmosphere as well. Might want to quickly read the two other parts prior, though. They're inferior, but the details in there will explain the backstory.
