This is the best story I've read in a long time. I stayed up all night reading and only stopped briefly to grab some food now and then. Chapter 14 had me literally choking on snot and tears. I know it's been over 4 years since this was updated, so it's not likely to be continued or completed. But just in case the author still reads these reviews, I wanted to say THANK YOU for posting the 15 chapters that are here. Your talent is amazing, equal to the very best writers on this site (or anywhere). You should be proud to have created something so wonderful.

THe dialogue is so clever, like an Oscar WIlde play, or, what it really reminds me of, is this Edith Wharton book from 11th grade which I reallly loved, whose name I can't recall at the moment, and although I suppose I could go look it up on Google, that would be too easy. I love this story, can't wait to see what will happen next. Please try your best to make it like a Comicality story i.e. don't ever let it end! Thanks, Michael

Hi Dodger, I just wanted to tell you how much I love this story. I found it a few days ago and read the first 18 chapters in one day and was thrilled to find this latest one today. Yes, I'm totally addicted. One of the reasons for this, besides the fact that you're a wonderful writer, is that I had nearly the same thought processes and plans for dealing with my attraction to guys, back when I was Robbie's age. It took me until my second year of college to finally come to terms with the fact that I'm just hopelessly queer. And life really did get a lot better after that! I can't wait to find out what happens with Robbie. Thank you for writing this and for sharing it with the rest of us. -Michael

I really love this story and hope you will be able to continue with it some day. To be honest, it didn't grab my interest very much in the beginning, and I only kept reading because I have great admiration for AC Benus' writing, and figured he wouldn't be wasting his time editing something unless there was something special about it. The story really grows on you, and it definitely is something special. Mikhail is a wonderfully-drawn character, I really feel like I know him by now. I love the quirky, unusual relationship he has with his parents. I love how he views the world in general. I'd really love to know what happens to him next. I think it would be really hot if he has incestuous sex with his "brother" Matt, at least once! Please?! -Michael

I just read all 30 chapters over the past 6 days. What an amazing tale. Every night since I started reading this, I have these crazy dreams involving elves and dwarves and orcs and talking dragons. The one thing I don't understand is why the administrators of this site felt compelled to post such a dire warning at the beginning of the story. Clearly this story takes place in a very distant (or imaginary) time and place that has nothing to do with today's society and its laws and morals....I can't imagine how this wouldn't be self-evident to everyone who actually reads the whole book. I agree with Mr. Celtic Prince that whenever you post the next chapter, it will definitely be worth the wait. Thanks for sharing this fascinating world with people like me who don't have even 1/100 of your imagination.

I'm so glad you're continuing with this story. I was so much like Adam, during my freshman and sophomore years of college, pretending to be "straight" on the surface, but secretly experimenting with guys when I thought no one was paying attention. The problem with living your life like this is obvious in retrospect -- eventually, your "secrets" will inevitably come out, bad pun intended. Clearly there is a lot of drama in store for Adam in his not-too-distant future. I can't wait to read about how it all happens. Please keep writing!

You're an amazing writer. I think Pete's a total loser and Corbin would be much better off with Mike, or Nick, or even Lee! I guess I'm resigned to the fact that (based on the title) Corbin will eventually end up with Pete. Whatever ends up happening, I hope this story goes on forever. It makes me so happy whenever you post a new chapter. I especially love reading about Corbin's behind-the-scenes machinations regarding his fraternity. I think I've been waiting for this for like 200+ chapters! Please, please, please don't make us wait anothe 200 chapters for Billy and Brandon to finally re-consummate (sp?) their love! Comsie, if you had been born 30 years before you were, you absolutely would have been the head writer for ONE LIFE TO LIVE or one of those other soaps, in their heyday. I wish you would include more details, history lessons, etc. to make the story continue for (at least) another year. I love this story, it's given me something to look forward to (just about) every week for so long, it feels like forever. I truly don't remember what life was like B.C. (Before Circumnavigation); nor do I want to remember those dark days, much less experience them again. Mr. James, I urge you to give serious consideration to the fact that you have--whether deliberately and knowingly, or totally cluelessly--coerced innocent people such as myself into becoming addicted to your story. It is difficult and painful to contemplate the monumental suffering that awaits if you follow through with your plan to force us addicts to quit cold turkey in less than a month. You appear to be unaware of the high levels of dependence that you have created in some, if not most, of your readers. Because of this, you have a moral obligation to mitigate the harm that will inevitably befall these highly dependent readers if you were to suddenly revoke their weekly sustenance. To put it plainly, you must not do this! There is no reason why Trevor and Shane can't stop in Venezuela and become embroiled in some sort of complex international incident involving Hugo Chavez and nuclear weapons. (And the Scar could be resurrected here to team up with Bridget.) This could easily go on for another 150 weeks or more. I think I can deal with it if I know that there are only 150 more installments of Circumnavigation left before it ends. That would be much better than cruelly gloating about your plan to end everything in 3 or 4 weeks, and not even pretending you've already written the draft for the sequel, which you could easily do if you really cared about us. I had a hard enough time overcoming my addiction to cigarettes and frankly, I don't think I have the fortitude to make it through Circumnavigation withdrawals. Thank you in advance for hearing the sincerity of my desperation and revising your plans accordingly. And although I haven't ever actually discussed this with any of the other readers, I am confident that many, if not most, of them feel the same. Mike in San Diego

I have been silently addicted to this story for as long as everyone else and figured I'd better speak up before it's over. You are a brilliant writer, CJames, and I can't thank you enough for the years of entertainment your stories have given me. I imagine you already know how things will end with Circumnavigation....who knows, maybe you've even already written the end. Nevertheless, I have to strongly disagree with everyone who wants to see Bridgit die a gruesome death. Bridgit is far too brilliant to just kill her off after only one (albeit very long and very excellent) novel. If the Scar was worthy of a sequel (and he most certainly was), Bridgit deserves to star in at least two more books after this one! My hope is that in the sequel, Bridget will murder Lisa and Shane, this way Joel will be free to realize he's actually been gay all along, and he and Trev will finally get together. In all seriousness, Joel and Trevor had the most amazing chemistry during the time when they were in the Mediterranean together. To this day, I'm still traumatized that the two of them didn't end up together. I guess I keep hoping maybe there's a lot of stuff the narrator hasn't told us about the extent of Joel's inner turmoil. Like enough stuff to fill up a whole new book, the sequel to Circumnavigation, where Joel marries Trevor instead of Lisa and they live happily ever after. Sure, I can see it now..... -Michael

Strangely, I find myself rooting for Bridget and was thrilled by her harrowing escape from the pigs. I hope she's smart enough to realize that she needs to show Sanchez who's really the boss by personally murdering him in front of the other high-level members of the Cartel. This would secure Bridget's place on the Cartel's Board of Directors, and (more importantly) ensure her longevity. And Bridget's longevity definitely matters, because we need her around for the sequel, the author's insistence that there isn't going to be a sequel notwithstanding!
