Well, in all the excitement of GA, somehow I missed the notice of this posting and it’s comments. I’m so glad I came back through to check manually…surprise. A very nice surprise indeed as the clean up in this Florida pack was well over due. Tala’s talents prove to be invaluable in reversing the many evils thrust upon the American Clan and the Red Wolves so long ago. Absolute power absolutely corrupts… Such arrogance for the Alpha as he leads the clan to great losses in prestige and clan properties; no wonder why they don’t run, they won’t have the freedom to do so when the lands are gone. 🤦♂️

Yay, the boys finally returned to what nature offered them from the beginning. Unfortunately, Alec’s mom disrupted the lives of so many, but with her undoing by death, her influences died with her. The happy medium of their youthful union was delayed by years so it’s natural that the happy medium of present took a little more time to reset from independent lives. Ironically, the most valuable therapy for Alec was to accept Finn, but first he had to find himself.

I read that as Arthur’s thoughts. Likewise, Arthur appears to have been the one to open/read Karl’s reply letter from Mrs Hopkins; e.g. Emma’s pregnancy. But now, is Arthur’s request for George purely medical for self, or medically nefarious towards Emma, or to help George understand the George/Karl relationship, or to get to Paul from another angle? Hopefully news of the missing Dane (Jorgen?) is good.

Let’s face it Alec, You know how Finn’s room is..and to some lesser degree the family area. So picture how Finn’s jackets or better yet, Herk, are going to look on that modern furniture. Now picture Herk and those same jackets casually draped across the farmhouse furniture. One looks unworthy of showcasing and needs immediate attention, while the other says home…and sure enough just to the right of Herk is that sexy boy ready to wrap around you on that comfortable farmhouse, streaming, steaming sofa…. Just saying Perhaps Alec furnishes the Victorian sitting room and Finn furnishes the den/family room? Hahahaha

That’s why so many country folk had only nicknames (skitter, bug, shorty, tank, red, Rusty) until their funeral; where everyone sits saying…I didn’t know that was his real name! Hahaha

I love how the constant reminders of the different degrees of mental stress Alex has, compared to Finn’s own stress of change, seems to compliment or balance each other; I.e. Alex’s Airplane Angst vs Finn’s Flight Fantasia. Their more dominant attractions become the distraction…or better yet, the focal point that anchors the other…The Yin Yang, Finn Yin, Alex Yang. Again, @Demiurge, this a wonderful story that brings to mental issues to the forefront but doesn’t overpower the larger storyline of the relationships, the love, and the life events. Well done and keep it coming, please.

Chasing Rusty Parker- It must be the Gay, Senior year begins, King Rusty’s first day. Last year of Reign at Sunny Hill College, Head on a swivel, search beyond knowledge. Ding Dong that bastard’s dead 💀, and the sweet notion is that Trevor would seem to have realized what happened before he saw his final sunset. Interesting enough that the many protections by fae princes don’t extend to the pawns…so why just exact why does it to Huntington? Cujo cruel is the reading…until they load them in the transports; then it’s Cujo reborn! 😝 Somewhere there has to be a special connection back to Kage, Elijah, and the Fae Prince whom Elijah seems to have at least intrigued; that’s nearly a godly pause right? Hmmm 🧐 , perhaps the cure is going to get some magical breakthroughs.

Poor Karl is already strong for dreams, now the exposure and the mind has him traveling as or with Jack the Ripper. I hope his mental logic can get some positive strokes to help him regain better perspective over the meaning of this all. Now where in the world is…KARL?
-
I’m sure there was some strategic misdirection and assistance by the guards to make it look good. I think the Kardoval are even less supported than they themselves believe…it’s not just the Rebels in opposing their high hand and oppressive rule. A week is a very long time to wait for the next chess move, right? Hahaha 🤪 I HATE MR CLIFF HANGER, he often contributes to physical and mental stress…maybe @astone2292has the right idea of having shots ready for the next installment; …now where are my extra shot glasses 🤓?

I just hope your shots are not armor piercing rounds! 😜

Hmmm, cure? I was thinking more of shifting alignments vs….weird??

I also think the friendly joking of his Kage-o-Matic just shows the fondness that Kage may truly be helping and that he’s still with him in his limited way. Likewise, the image of the dreams but yet unable to make out the face…it seemed fuzzy. Hmmm 🤔 maybe furry is the better word for it. Now , will the mates affect the changes gripe on the teens or at least hint at a possible reverse for the earliest sets of hybrids; old it be the earlier sets are more reversible? Elijah could shift and aid some in the mate possibilities, but Tyler is going to be a more complicated courtship. 🐺howl your goodnights .

But did the farmer boy, if that history is to be believed too, murder Elias or did Elias possibly die of unrequited love for those that all seem to reject him? After all, what drives one to drink, it’s often to dull hidden pain. Elias also battles memory recall issues and is accepting of what’s heard until he gets definitive recall. His disappearing words are a mix of present and past… I love(d) you. So who is the reincarnation of the past? Perhaps the visit to the museum for research was ended before more questions could formulate and be researched. What if they found or can find a picture of this ancestor that has Elias still holding no contempt. Beautifully written with a mix of confused love, developing and/or hidden bonds, and the mystery of the past now visiting the present…or is it the past revealing what could and should have been? Hmmm, so much to consider and so many possibilities…the big reveal at the museum may be more shocking than dear Marilou can handle. lol 😂

@Krista, you have a gift to bring true life angst, personality, and emotions to your characters. This new genre seems to suit you well…I’m definitely waiting to see the next update.

They need to pay for their transgressions against Garjah and Essell….and to their people as a whole as this experiment to break the bond goes against any respectful living creatures.

War is a dirty business, it is easier for armed and uniformed combatants, they know the rules and generally spy’s or moles are much less common. Contested lands, people, and governance are all too frequent to pit neighbors against neighbors, and this was especially true with the Nazi divide and conquer in politics, social status, and populace. I don’t condone the actions of the young French, though trying to protect your family and your life makes humanity leave us…as survival is too often desperation. Poor Karl, the riggers of war are destined to leave him ever closer to Robert, papa Hopkins. I hope the talks and observations he made during his youthful escape and host family stay gave him the understanding to put this all in prospective. His observations of the similarities while on the German ship, yet that they fought against the forces protecting his host family and for his homeland, things he knew to be rightfully worth defending. Karl keeps thinking of those things that have meaning and purpose to him, which is good to anchor himself to reality, but he even shows some understanding of why and how those torturing him have distrust and a course unlike to change without time to calm the larger threats. Hang in there Karl. Clement, please continue to see the truths and defend this young hero, perhaps you’re a similar good soul caught in the nasty traps of war.

Chapter 36: Mischievous Mind
Philippe commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 36: Mischievous Mind
Whether the expectations of the readers or you as the author are met, enjoyable, rewarding, etc., can only be measured by the response it gives you and/or brings from your readers. Whether the responses today may have been less numerous or less positive than you had hoped, is still the best vote and reward that your talents have brought us ALL here…after three books, so I’d say that’s a big vote of worthiness. Likewise, the ole King Who Wore No Clothes is the best analogy I think to remind you of; without honest (hopefully respectful or at least not brash) comments you’d never get what so many authors seek with the “post as you go” writing; otherwise, why not post and forget? Conversely, false smiles or fake comments leave you climbing upon the Dias without any clothes. So take the comments as nothing more than opinion or review…but it’s a whole lot better than no followers or no comments. At the end of it all, it’s your story, but your total followers and the total story comments your story has says you are up to the task.
