LOL. This made me laugh. There are things you want to say, but you want to at least try to appear to be reasonable and considerate. You think, 'Got to give him a chance to take a breath. We only just got this chapter.' Then someone comes along and says it like you really want to on the inside because you're just enjoying it so much. Well, @astone2292, the testament to your success is being driven by demands without regard for a breathe, nor opportunity to wipe the tears of joy shed realizing you achieved your goal. I do await the next release with eager anticipation; without whips or prods, no sha-pows of that barking whip today! LOL Thank you for the recognition of contribution, though that contribution was nothing more than a shared thought and notion towards an already noteworthy creation of your own labor; I appreciated the attention given without resentment of meddling in your creation. I now wonder what beautiful creature the mating bond will give Vincent for is Wolf; will it be of something traditional or will we be gasping at a reflection of the shadow mage’s unique soul and powers? Thanks again for the wonderful creation and journey for which you’re taking us.

You remind me of the old smokehouse and root cellars of country pantries. The ranch is sprouting boys so quickly that we are looking at a shortage of pantry space. Likewise, I believe too many of the old ways are totally dismissed when relying on modern conveniences; yet when the power goes out, the time before spoilage is reduced so shouldn’t we combine the best of old and new? lol Hmmm, smokehouse, greenhouse, root cellar, etc. I’m enjoying how the boys’ home is expanding. That life connection between boys who may or may not have crossed paths on the city streets, have certainly crossed paths on the streets of hard knocks; the immediate bonds between the boys surviving those trials are something of a beautiful rebirth born out of tragedy, This brings emotions so deeply sad but can’t help but end in tears of joy. @CLJobe Thank you for the heartwarming journey!

Fantastic, the visualization I got as little Vinnie displayed the power and manipulation of his magic, in multiple affinities, was like his clairvoyant roller coaster...an exciting ride. The power of the non-magical side was great as it was a very natural introduction for Mace as he too had been included in the personal petition to the pack and as a mate; Beautifully done! Thanks for creating this fantasy tale and sharing it with us here; now more, dance is over! 😝

To expand upon that, I think that bonding is also a deeper more determined bond. Those boys, newly cemented brothers, are not as likely to abandon or give up on one another. By extension, the grieving loss by Carleton, of the first child of shared circumstances has given those boys the strongest testament to him as their protector, a loving father, their dad.

@centexhairysub, So true of betrayal: betraying the kingdom, betraying the emperor, betraying their lord, betraying their commander, but worst of all is betraying their own humanity, it’s not a done deal and it’s eating at Ferino enough to have him begging forgiveness. It will only get worse. Lady Nisa is no Lady and is a major supporter of Lord Revi and treason against the kingdom; did this selfish “Lady” contribute to her own father’s death? The Burning Feather and Empress Rushi need to be caught and terminally corrected in a fashion that the treaty in marriage will not be in breach; publicly betrayed by her own people?? Lol, that would be rich. @lilansuiThank you for returning to post yet again to this wonderful story. Please, I beg, continue to provide these installments of love, mystery, murder and betrayal.

I have no idea of their concept for the layout, but the the idea of an outer perimeter of rooms opening into an inner atrium (w/kitchen) garden would help bring a sense of equality and inclusion while avoiding long dormitory halls and the separation cliques that configuration may bring. Many like a performance hall, amphitheater or other layouts that bring the audience to the central attraction; here the family space needs to be more central with more equal distance to all. I’m hoping for more jelly beans! Hahaha

Wow, an extra special treat even earlier than expected! What a nice build to the unveiling of Vincent. It brings the emotion and sincerity, but it also brings great respect and honor to the forefront; this was a truly important lead in to the unveiling. This gives great credibility of Vincent not being of dark forces though wielding shadow magic. May the little mage, Vinnie, continue to be a force of trust and alliances that may finally conquer the evil taint of a serial killer.

It’s time to name the head of Human Resources...what do you think Maria, hands on? Or Supervisory only? I think as the only consistent presence, and is the mother/grandma presence for all practical purposes, she must have absolute authority to hire and fire any additional adults to be present in her home, the home she embraced and has managed through all the transitions. Well that’s my opinion,...it might not be worth a jelly bean, but there it is!

Mom had a Miniature Dachshund during my teenage and college years. He would bite and flip his blanket out of the bed and then from the bed he would flip it high over his bed to get a near cartoon appearance of his blankets spreading as it floated down in near perfect placement; lol, he was well practiced too! I do see this as a significant challenge for Chris to ride...perhaps Shadow would be possibility!

An excellent chapter. You achieved the objective of creating an adversary in Shaw, though I could see him possibly being brash and somewhat unqualified but yet when enlightened with facts he could be a surprising defender. The hints are that the coworkers are correct in their assessment...but are they? Vinnie is learning so much in a short period, now that he has stability and a mentor. His affinities in total made still be regressive; I have to wonder if and how being exposed to these little understood forces may have touched Young Vincent long ago; so little is understood and Vincent is mostly self discovery and self taught. I still see hints of growing respect and alliances in the future. The dark web surrounding Vincent remaining masked yet with hints of presences do make for questions of friends and foes. Can hardly wait for Sunday!

If destiny is to be for Antonio and Praveen, I could see both of the supporting best bi-friends becoming closer. I agree with you on what Celine said, but I also kept the interpretation to be less possessive and more inclusive as to Sean belonging here.

The spider web is growing and without much attention; the management, the detective,... Which are threats, which are not? Are these growing threats aware of the network they support or did they just sell to any bidder? I’m loving the suspense of impending threats and the thrill of mounting alliances and fighting capabilities. Another great chapter and eagerly awaiting more!

Arrrgh, Bruce is a cockroach; so elusive but never far from being unseemly and extremely dangerous. Ok, you got me with Grandma Katy. I dismissed that possibility thinking of stronger, more direct ties to Praveen; in her waking calls she had desperately wanted Antonio, to warn him; touché! lol

Cliff is one of @Laura S. Fox‘s main supporting characters; he is in most chapters, of all of her stories I’ve read. So, hello again, Mr Cliff; alias - Story Interuptus!

Ary, was shocked, blood everywhere, poor Todd; this leads to the scared and panicked Ary being proud he was able to avoid the cameras and get the item hidden. But how did he know the value of the item, and what is the driving motivation now? Todd believed Rhys, himself, and Renzo should escape; that they could secure their freedom with this item. Hmmm... it would appear now that only Ary and Levine know what item it is that we are looking for. But Levine believes Rhys knows where it is and Levine is either running out of patience or is it time? Rhys refuses to believe Ary would have crossed Todd or himself. It seemed that Rhys had accepted the team support and security in numbers concept, at least by verbal agreement; so where in the world is Rhys now?

Hmmm, wait until the church twins show with lies of their innocent acts; those that PESI will probably broadcast in the courtroom or at the judges desktop! Hahaha. Playing Hot Potato is fun too, so much better when in the courtroom. 🤦‍♂️ Oh, and names withheld for security? Evil forces are at play here! 🦹‍♀️

Teacher? That’s an oversimplification; teacher, nanny, security, psychologist, tailor, friend? I imagine if PESI is an AI, then the test of their intelligence will also be a truth test of PESI to apply all aspects of the above specialities: to overcome any teen insecurities, to motivate young minds beyond mere accomplishment, and to keep all trials within the stress levels that lead to revolt and rejection. Considering PESI’s specialities include near full time observation and application, PESI will know the boys’ expertise and interest before they acknowledge them to themselves; all kinds of possibilities if PESI is as self aware as the observational reports to the Doctor indicate. (Why am I envisioning the Doctor from Star Trek Voyager with holographic projections within the premises? I want to be a real boy? Lol Ok, Doctor, PESI wants to order some parts and supplies for their “technology classes!)

So let me get this straight. The DOCTOR goes out and collects kids from the streets. He then brings them bring to his high tech home, and turns them into Frankensteins! What an interesting twist on the rescue of life for these kids.

Amen! I agree and await future posts with eager anticipation! Oh, that ending was amazing. To me it conveyed the meaning of joining in a higher more meaningful way; in love, their bond, and spiritual connection. The most significant concern I have is now the ambassador’s gate is now known to Prince “Cleanse the World.” I feel this was a grave mistake to expose that asset, especially when so close to the Platinum Prince and his allies. Fantastic chapter! Please post at your soonest, but I appreciate and thank you for the quality and detail you provide for this magical tale.

Fergus may be worried about the loss of respect from HIS pack but he has seen the warnings of Jimmy’s strength and the wolf ready to run wild; yet he toys with notions of domination of a near feral wolf, the same type beast he needed Jimmy to manage for him. So I think his biggest concern for Fergus should have already been being Jimmy on board and introduced for pack petition. He has now contributed to the more feral determination and raw strength of a strong wolf, a possible challenger, that highlights his lack of leadership; I believe his days to be numbered as the pack will not rally to his aid and without the pack he is not a great match for Jimmy, and a poor match for Jimmy protecting his mate and fighting for a pack.

What did Travis see? Hmmm, well...Sean and Granny are set up for out-of-body experiences, but likewise Travis’ mom and dad both could be having a spirit venture. The evil that resides within Emma, Bruce, and Andrea doesn’t yet allow me to believe that guilt would have claimed them; nor would a spirit meeting at the temple strike me as a probable confession or of remorse in death from those characters. Given the position we find ourselves in; I believe we may be seeing Sean, drawn to dad, placing all of his innocent confusion before Travis where as a spiritual person Travis may learn of Sean’s frustrating search for Stephanie’s “beautiful uncle” and where he may lay blame with mean uncle. Given all Antonio’s faults, he is still Sean’s father too, and the natural pull has already been observed but not yet understood. Can Travis, Praveen, send Sean back to Celine, Stephanie’s mom, as his anchor to return to his body and and an understanding that dad is speeding is way. What will be the reaction when daddy Travis sees Praveen’s ex husband as an emotional wreak at the bedside of his, their, son? How will the family reunion be with, Emilia, Celine, Antonio, Aunt Vanessa, and then Eduardo, Ray, and Stephanie. I’m betting the odds of a good night for the evil three will be near nonexistent! , @vanalas, you’ve given us one heck of a cliffhanger; those are totally unfair when life and death, of a child, is involved. Correct this ASAP, post, post quickly, HELP!

Nice backstory for Caleb and family’s desperate need of a safe haven and home. Their acceptance into the territory, then into the pack was great, but then true validation comes when Caleb is accepted as the enforcer itself; this hints to a strong coalition I sense coming. But as Mason found his destined mate, a shadow mage, and accepted that mate without thought of rejection raises brows for sure, but to then chose a lion as his enforcer shows a true embrace of all; and this all carries the seal of approval from the former Alpha and Alpha Mate, a very strong endorsement. The upcoming visit from the New York Alpha serves now as an endorsement of trust and alliance for the Mason/Vincent pairing of Wolf and Shadow Mage. I’m excited to see the upcoming Mage Dance and Mating Bond formalize the process towards this rapidly changing pack and alliance building required to ultimately bring the serial murdering dark mage to justice.
