    Chapter 31

Thankfully the young sniper had to face his biggest challenge as the only action available. They expected to get the primary, then maybe secondary, and tertiary. But when looking at killing the kid as a lone target the mission objectives became more clear that it just wasn’t right.

    Chapter 31

Good deal, the HUM-INT worked to then point resources to the areas of penetration by the uninvited guests. Poor Ned, he is just not within his depths to deal with his new life; hopefully, this was a big learning experience. Especially snipers, they are not for scoping out the surrounding area visually and without cover. i have a feeling the boys will all be wearing armor in the future, but this also means expanded security measures for the Carters.

Accept those terms?…politically, they cannot defy gravity, but publicly it will probably look as if health and unfortunate timing left them without time to get proper ballot registrations in enough states to continue their campaign; At least some cover story of equal plausibility.

    Chapter 30

True on the options without forward placed personnel, but…none of those have the same plausible deniability that this mission does, especially if they exfil and make it out clean. And that’s the dirty little secret the parties in play hope to keep.

    Chapter 30

Despite a long career in the military and large corporate operations environment, I’ve never had a time where I had to accept an order against my morals. I did have occasion to counter that a different way of accomplishing the mission needed to be found but that was to kept operations safe and legal for the type operations we were tasked for. Unnecessarily choosing high losses for people or equipment was foolish and can jeopardize future operations, I was of the rank/position to influence safe and efficient operations for my people and weapon systems. As to enemy combatants, we actually dropped warnings both for combatants and non-combatants on how to not to be a fatality as overwhelming force and/or forces would have dramatic consequences in their area in the coming hours. Non-combatants were especially warned not to engage as they would be given no protections once engaging military personnel. Keep in mind, any true stories or depictions in movies, while based on true it has probably been dramatized for entertainment or advocacy for a cause. While normal bell curves would say human nature will always have outliers; they are smaller percentages and have mechanisms for reporting and review. I’ve used that system, and while many may would compromise reporting for fear of discipline or promotion opportunities, there are still ways to report anonymously. So can and do those outliers happen, yes I’m sure there are occasions, but are they mainstream operations, no, not my experience over a very long career.

Hmmm, a council of Presidents…who’s on first? 😂

    Chapter 30

The delusions are that people are knowing working out side of the chain of command; one person is not the entirety of the problem.

    Chapter 30

That okay by an ex-president means it is still unsanctioned by the legal government, as well as being a war crime to wear the uniforms to assassinate a foreign civilian and a military officer.

    Chapter 30

Red flags indeed: wearing enemy uniforms for assassins is a war crime that makes them knowingly unlawful.

    Chapter 29

Hope is in the air as the President plans to release the documents to Candidate Will Carter, with acknowledgement that Will was defending his family and his sovereign state from illegal attacks for less than honorable reasons. He is acknowledging his status as a sunset president and resident that wants someone strong and honorable to bring the future back to saneness, and to safe the country from rogue entities within the government. Biden is trusting Will to manage the situation and the politics in a responsible manner, as he and his husband have repeatedly shown their characters as heroes.

    Prologue

The wooden legs seem to be of green wood and has signs a yielding, yet, with proper curing may harden to provide a sturdy support. Bracing and supporting each other becomes key to the ultimate strength of the structural support. It interesting to see this developing and very curious to capture an understanding of the journey.

Shocker indeed, they are quiet a mess and with separation issues for a couple we know later to be fated and so dedicated; with back stories tending towards true love, that didn’t leave the impression of such detached and emotional resignation.

Kinda like a plea deal, he was trying to protect Orel, but also gave up Tarquin when the opportunity came; so he turned key witness with immunity in forgiveness.

Reminds me of the ballad of a Boy Named Sue, by Johnny Cash. Why, to make him grow up tough…so a name can make a person. 😂 Oops, I see others thought the same now that I read more comments. 🤣

    Chapter 23

Ahhh, but mankind and civilization are an ill defined construct of humanity that is by no means uniformly defined. Even as written, with good intentions and meaning, so too was the arguments of a notorious leader turned dictator that plunged the world into World War II; with the same very arguments of destroying those who were deemed to be destroying the world for others. Ironically, even that definition of who was destroying the world, was so fluid that from beginning to end of world conflict, it no longer resembled the original movement that gave it momentum. The bandwagon effect of human discourse is a dangerous thing. But with the simplistic logic bounded as a notion of goodwill and world peace then perhaps the time travel would be possible without Biff corrupting the original notion. Hmmm, that damned vicious cycle of human power and greed is back in play again. 🤷‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️

It seems Jacob is shadowing Yani vicariously through Tommy and/or in his dreams. Haha I wonder which one gifts him the most insight.
