HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID! I hope you have a great birthday! Vance

I thought the story was great, and I thought the ending was great. I just started reading this two days ago because I swore after DD that I wouldn't read a Dom story when it wasn't complete. He's a master at cliffhnagers! I'm darn glad I waited until it was complete otherwise I may have ended up where Oliver did at the end of the story, hehe. I liked the ending, because David got his freedom and Frank's last words were 'we have to get Oliver' which to me meant that Oliver would not be locked away in that place much longer. I don't believe David is evil incarnate, in fact I spent a lot of today wondering how i'd come out had I been locked in a well or 'cistern' for 9 days, knowing I was left there by my own parent to die. And that topped off a life that most people could never even fathom, to me David was victim of his life, he was taught to disregard it, to kill, what he did he always had Oliver's best interest at heart, Oliver, the one person that loved him. I don't disagree that David needed therapy, but he didnt' need prison. I'm happy he got away, and I'm content in the knowledge that Frank will get Oliver out of the institution.

Well I had a terrific Christmas! When I woke up yesterday morning I sneaked into the livingroom and found a Christmas tree (which I already knew was there) loaded with presents! Seeing's how Sam's such a night owl I still had to wait three hours to get to open anything but I busied myself making monkey bread and playing with my computer program where you can design your own house to keep my mind off not waiting for Sam at all and ripping open all my presents. Long about 8:30 I couldn't take it anymore and woke him up! He had said I could at 8 but I felt kinda guilty about waking him up so earlyl so I did the gallant thing and waited a whole extra half an hour. The next hour or so was a flurry of flying paper. Sam loved his XBox and the games I got, plus his movies and Season of Reno911 (if you haven't seen that show and love silly yet very funny shows you ought to check it out!) I got....*takes a deep breath* 2 seasons of Little House on the Prairie, 3 Seasons of Friends, 2 computer games I've really wanted, a new rotisserie, a lb of my favorite candy (that english toffee stuff coated in chocolate and nuts) a new popcorn popper, a $200 gift certificate to Amazon.com, a lava lamp which is distracting me as I'm trying to type this! I got more but I can't seem to remember it right now. We spent the morning and early afternoon here playing with my new stuff and I got my ass kicked at Xbox, no surprise there. At four we headed over to Sam's mom's house and had a delicious dinner of roast beef with all the fixings THEN we both got a surprise as she'd gotten us a brand new pillow top mattress, I've ALWAYS wanted one of those. There's a chance she may have realized that on our last shopping trip when I spent a considerable amount of time drooling over each and everyone in the furniture store we went to. So after a delicious desert of Chocolate log roll cake and some more visiting we came home, made up our new bed, christened it and I passed out from Christmas exhaustion, it's hard work getting all those presents! All that tearing open of presents, and all the smiling and being so happy, well it just wears a person right out! So yep that was my Christmas, one for the record books I'd say. Now I gotta go back to work I wish we had the day after Christmas off because I want more time to play with all my stuff. Oh also my cat got a fancy set of dishes for her food and water and a whole bag of treats so she had a happy Christmas too. I don't buy her any toys realy because her favorite things to play with are those rings that come off milk jugs and straws. I can buy a $5 dollar cat toy and she'd still prefer to play with a straw. Cept she does realy love the cat nip snake I bought her a couple months back, but that's just cause it makes her high. Well I guess that's all! I hope everyone else had a great Christmas too and that everyone has a great week this week!

This song doesn't exactly encompass my life, but I heard it for the first time just the other day at work and it was one of those songs that really seems to hit home. I found it online just for this thread!! You can actually hear it here too. http://www.angelfire.com/nm/friendshippages/dontlaugh.html

Gift Cards! Though I've heard some people say gift certificates are impersonal, I don't believe it. Some people are just very hard to buy for and I think the best thing for them is a gift card, takes all the trouble out of them having to return something. OH and if it's real last minute you can go to Dunkin Donuts on Christmas day and pick one up!

Shrek 3!! COOL! I didn't know they were going to do a third one and I LOVED the first two best movies of their kind I have ever seen. Vance

Check out Comicalities site, the story Gone From Daylight. It's excellent!

Okay I gotta pipe up with my own kitty story after hearing that! I was painting the kitchen a nice blue one day when my cat decides to run into the kitchen and right through the paint pan. Of course she keeps on running at the same time she's flicking her paws cause there's this weird stuffon them. so the more I chase after her the more she runs leaving the blue footprints everywhere she goes. So finally I smarten up stand in one place and call her to me. By then her face whiskers and LOTS of spots on the floor are covered in blue. I was able to get it all off but I think I laughed for a week after.

I've always been a shy person, before GA I could count the number of friends I've had on one hand and probably still not use all my fingers. I've kept to myself, with the exception of Sam my entire life. In my time at GA I've made so many friends that I'd need both fingers and toes to count them all and probably would still need a few more digits. I was talking to Sam (my partner) yesterday about GA because I had been thinking of doing this post. He told me something that I hadn't even really noticed. He said I'm more confident now. So being the pessimist I am I said, "Well how can a website do that." And being the incredibly smart person he is he responded, "Because you are accepted there, you've opened up, let people get to know you, and you know what? They still like you." And then in his ever so special, yet slightly blunt ways he said, "They've helped you to see you're not a loser." So I slugged him, hehe just kidding, actually I thought about it and I realized as usual he was 100 percent right. From the moment I became active at GA I felt accepted, at times I've even felt downright popular. I never knew an online community could mean so much. I never would have fathomed it five years ago. This site and the people on it are a HUGE part of my life. I said it in my blog once, this place has a family feel to it. You guys (and girls) are like my family. The highlights of my days are coming home and reading through the forums and blogs and seeing what's going on with everyone. I know I don't post too much but like I said, I'm shy, let's not expect miracles, hehe. Basically what I'm saying here is GA is far more than a website to me, it's a community, a family, a group of people that I love to be with. I've said quite a bit here, exposed myself a bit I'd say, but I think it has good reason. This isn't a plea to Myr to keep the site open, it's a plea to everyone else to show him just how much this place means to us. To band together and make it worth his while to keep it going. To offer help so the stress doesn't get so bad for him and the other Admins. So please if you have a few minutes reply to this thread and let them know just what GA means to you. I'm sure I'm not the only one that it has had a HUGE impact on. Thanks Vance

Wowee it's been a long time since I've done a blog! Still don't have much to report so this will be another rambling of not much at all, hehe. We put our Christmas tree up last weekend. I bought a new one. I had reserved 100 dollars to go buy a nice one, I got there and the one I had picked out from a flyer was there, but there was only one left and it was already opened. I couldn't even get it out from where it was crammed between boxes to see if all the pieces were there. So I went and found someone, which I NEVER do, I most always just settle for something else. But this was a Christmas tree! So I found a nice man who was able to get the tree down and we checked and it was all there, and he said 'you know, those other trees are just as nice as this one and thirty dollars cheaper.' So I thought on it for a bit, I didn't' want to get home and have a tree what you could see the pole the whole way up the center, but I'm thinking 30 bucks cheaper! So in the end I got the cheaper one. And I was nervous until I got home and we got it all set up and you know what?.....IT'S A BEAUTIFUL TREE! I was soooo happy. We put all color lights on it, but all gold and silver ornaments. It's really pretty, I'm not going to want to take it down. I just wish we could put presents under it, but I have a bad kitty! She loves wrapping paper. In fact when I wrap presents I have to give her a big sheet of her own to play with so she'll leave me alone while I'm trying to wrap. It's amazing the little tricks you learn to get your cat to do what you want. Mine always comes when I sing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow.' No matter what, there's only been one time she didn't come and that was when someone had locked her in the closet and didn't know it! And when she gets in the washer machine and won't get out, I just have to press down on the can opener and out she comes. I think the cutest thing though is every single night when I pull in the driveway I can see her sitting up in the window waiting for me, well me and her dinner! But still I think it's sweet. Our Christmas party at work is next Friday, We are ordering from a seafood place and I'm going to get lobster stew, YUM! Also we'll get our bonuses and I can't wait to see how much mine is. Sam's Christmas party is sometime soon, I get to go to that because his work actually invites other people to their parties and they don't have it in the middle of work. They have a nice meal and everything! Last year I got to have prime rib and it was incredible. I'm working on a new story, Unbreakable Faith only has a few more weeks. I've been trying to make it so there would be no gap between stories but there may be a little one, as I sit here doing this blog and not writing it! Hehe. I know I said in earlier blogs that I was scared to post UF but I'm very glad I did, it has gotten a great response and I thank you all for that. Well I best get ready for work. Have a great day!

Hey I've actually read that book! I'm so excited it's gonna be a movie.

Well yes my cat is very naughty, yet there are ways to cat proof your home. first off you dont have to buy expensive baby locks. All you gotta do is get some self adhesive velcro rings. You can open the cupboard easily but they can't! Also don't throw food in the trash keep a grocery bag in the fridge for your food trash and on trash day take it out and throw it away so they aren't tempted by heavenly scents coming from the trash. Personally I think they are mad they've had to move so much. I think they'll get over it and be the good kitties they always were again. Also they have some special cat food for 'indoor cats' it helps them in their frisky behavior. Hope this helps! *HUGS* the cat doctor! Vance

Happy Birthday Emoe Have a great day

Well another week down! Only bad thing about working is you can keep counting down the weeks but there's no set number to count down. It's not like you only have 10 to go or 20 to go, it just keeps going and going! I can't complain too bad though, I'm very lucky, I like my job, it's got it's problems but they're minor. I'm thankful I have a job and thankful it's not one I have to wake up every morning and say "shit I gotta go to work" today. That's not to say I don't get excited on days I don't have to go to work. In fact I generally wake up earlier on weekends, I figure it's from excitement at a whole day off, so I just can't sleep! It's been raining here for like two weeks. We saw a bit of sun MOnday afternoon, it came out at four and set at five! Woo hoo! It's supposed to be partly sunny here tomorrow, and even though I really love rain I think after two weeks of it I'm ready to see a little sun. I was supposed to go shopping with a girl from work tomorrow. We go on a Christmas shopping trip every year, but we had to postpone it. I can't say I'm too upset about it, I really have LOTS of cleaning to do. I also have to get groceries still. I figure I'll first thing in the morning. I need to buy stuff to make this fancy cake for thanksgiving. I'm gonna go all out and try and look real fancy! I think I've been watching too much food network, a plain ole frosted cake just doesn't seem to cut it anymore. hehe. We are going to Sam's mom's like we do every year but we usually take a few things for us to pig out on too. This year we are taking the cake and I'm not exactly sure what else yet. We watched 'Over the Hedge' on Sunday night. That movie is SOOO funny! My fave movie of those cartoon type ones is Shrek but this one comes in a very close second. I really want to see 'Cars' too. Maybe I'll get it for Christmas! I know what you're thinking though 'why not just rent it' Well I'm a naughty guy. I have late fees at every video store around. And NOW I know what you're thinking, 'why not just pay them?' and umm well I have no excuse for that! Even if I did pay them off I don't think I'd rent again because obviously I have some sort of deficiency for returning things on time. I can't get anything at the library either. Cops actually came after me once. It was kinda funny because they went to my work and I had, had the day off. And they didn't even say what I was "wanted" for. So everyone was thinking I was this bad ass person or something and me too, when I got there the next day and found the cops were after me, but had no idea why! Turns out it was just a stupid overdue library book! Boy they are strict in this town. Either that or cops have WAY too much time on their hands. I guess everyone's got bad habits, that's mine! err and that's the ONLY one I promise. hehe Well Unbreakable Faith has about 7 more chapters to post. I still don't know what I'm doing yet for my next story, I'm hoping to get busy soon and get something going so there's not too much of a delay between stories. As of yet though I haven't really had the ambition. And if I write without really feeling like it, you can tell, it's really bad! Well I guess that's all for now! Have a great weekend everyone! TGIF!

Hmmm that sounds like a case of the 'great mystery of the cookie maker caper' lol sorry I couldn't resist!

Well after the wind we had all weekend there are very few leaves left on the trees. Sunday was awesome though. We watched scary shows on TV all day long. There were no good movies on, at least that we hadn't seen recently. So we watched 'Most haunted' and 'Scariest Places on Earth' and it was SO cool to lay in bed watching scary shows on a dark and gloomy day with the wind HOWLING outside. My cat is a brat though, I tried real hard to sleep in on Sunday morning but she kept ramming her head into my face. So finally I was like 'well she must want something, I'll get up.' So I get up and the little brat curls up in my spot. SO that's why she kept waking me up! she just wanted my spot! And yesterday I had my lunch on the counter, which I always do, but usually it's in one of those ziploc containers. Yesterday they were either full of other stuff or I had left one at work so I put my lunch in a sandwich baggie. And I walk out into the kitchen as I'm leaving for work and her head is in the bag and she's stuffing her face on my lunch! It was kinda cute though because when she heard me she like jumped then turned around real quick and cried and she knows when she cries I'm a sucker so I couldn't even get mad at her. If I can create such a spoiled monster out of a cat I shudder to think what I could do to a child. Sam insists I'd be a good dad, but I think it's imperative I learn the ability to say 'no' once in a while before such a thing happens. Speaking of Sam I've come to discover I may love him too much. Not that, that's anything I want to change. I love loving him. But for instance the other day I was driving home from the grocery story and I saw this car like his. And I got all warm and tingly all over and just really happy inside, and I knew it wasn't him, I knew he was still home sleeping but just the sight of a car like his got me all worked up! I came home and told him I loved him too much and he laughed and said 'Well if that's a problem I can try to be more of a jerk." So of course I said that I would prefer he didn't be a jerk, I don't even think he would know how honestly! The ONLY thing I don't like about our relationship is that he works nights and I work days. So we NEVER really see each other during the week. I've gotten used to spending evenings by myself, but that doesn't mean I like it very much! It sure does make the weekends EXTRA special though. Work is going good. Things have slowed down in the past few weeks, not so slow that we are hurting, but slow enough that we can get caught up on all we got behind on when it was so crazily busy! I'm also getting a 20 dollar a week raise in the job I do at night at home. Usually that job doesn't take that much time most nights I don't have to do anything. Once in a while all hell breaks loose, like last night! I sure do like the extra money every week though. It's like having a part time job but I don't have to leave the house to do it. Now that's my kinda job! The reason I'm getting 20 more dollars a week is because I used to get Sundays off. But the girl that covered it Sundays is leaving work so now I have to take it over. Which gives me the extra 20. When I started making all this extra money I started saving up for a lap top. Well I've had enough saved up for a lap top for a month now and now I don't want to spend the money. It's a really nice feeling to have some money in the bank. SO I don't know if I'm going to get a lap top or not. Well I guess that's all I got to say today! I hope everyone has a great week.
