  1. She seems just like a bitch (fullstop!) ... Self centered and so into herself that her head is so far up her arse she struggles to breath! At the moment she has to be the main suspect. I agree she is just plain disgusting !!!

    He's Gone

Loving this story ... I like weddings though not invited to many now as everyone I know is ancient Hell even my kids seem old these days... My oldest got married this year, but couldn't get to it as was in and out of hospital having tests. He came up soon after just so that they could spend time with us. Youngest son got married at the same time and never even invited my partner, so he didn't get either of us. Just hope these guys find happiness. Worried abut George... Maybe getting married didn't agree with him !!!
  3. I enjoyed the wedding on Saturday, but I must admit that I would have loved to have been at this one. Excellent chapter my friend. Can't hink of much else to say except that I would have loved Mark to have ended up downstairs before anyone noticed the trousers were missing. 12 hours again ... you my friend are working too hard!!! Take care.
  4. Absolutely love this chapter... Wish I could say my wedding was like that but it was all her family and we did everything ourselves including her putting the buffet together with her best friend. Hell for 6 month she'd been spending all our spare cash and booze and food so we were ready. Do I miss that... No! I was never allowed to be myself until I came out and found myself ... To me these guys are all doing that ... finding themselves. They have had lifetimes of being what people expected them to be and now as humans once again they have finally found themselves. Loving this....

    Matchmaking

Loved the chapter ... The rings are important and I reckon that since Kevin is well heeled he should have welsh gold for Ellis, just like Meghan's ring was made of. All royal wedding rings are mode of it now for the brides, most of the guys don't have a ring. Harry did today ... I just think it would be a nice sentimental touch giving Ellis Welsh gold as it would be a link to their homeland no matter where VUN were to take them. Look after those eyes mate ... we love you

    Concepts

I dropped out about the fifth or sixth year. Kev would have been the one to have schooling in the Victorian era either going to rugby or Eton as he was well heeled... Ellis, if he had any schooling would have gone to a church school if his parents could afford the fees. A lot of the time it depended on how many kids they had which is why there were so many that couldn't read and write as they most possibly had no schooling at all. A lot of the time the kids would have either begged to add to what the parents earned or worked with the parents. If lucky they would have been in service or an apprenticeship to a trade by the time they were 14 ... 5th and 6th year came in just before my generation just after the war. Even my dad left school at 14. Absolutely loving the how the boys are turning out ... Especially how they are different in subtle ways like how ralph added City and then thought he had done wrong...loving it ... Love Ellis ...

    Wedding Planning

Yet again I love the chapter and story ... Ellis is my hero now, but keep the banter up as I said I almost enjoy reading it as much as the chapter itself. As for weddings I don't think England in general makes as big a deal of them as you do over the pond. Hell a lot now just turn up at the registry office with two witnesses and that's it. Done ! ! ! Hell I even had a friend who got married like that at 10:00 then both started their NHS shifts an hour later. Mind they had been living together for twelve years. To them it was just something that needed to be done. Can't wait to see how this is going to develop ... Especially with the new slant of the hacker trying to get to them ... Really loving this story, but please can I have Ellis?

    Huge Wedding Plans

I've been married once when I was young and she just took it over and I had nothing to do with it. She even chose my damn suit and shoes and then complained when I got burgundy shoe polish on the bottom of her dress. Hell she even made the dresses and page boy outfits, did the wedding bouquets and flowers and made the buffet all by herself. Self bitch she never even let me do anything! I know I've spelt it wrong, but is it 'page' or 'paige' ??? Love the chapter ... planning I was glad to be out of it, even when my daughter got married to a yank, I just turned up and did a speech. Gay wedding though? It girls have got it wrong, I think Stan would have fun sorting it out.
  9. Large Blonde woman behind the bar = Pat Butcher ... not sure of the actresses name ... Small Blonde woman behind the bar = Peggy Butcher (stole Pat's husband, who then stole him back) used to be Peggy Mitchel better known as Barbara Windsor, best character in any soap!!! I fell in love with her son in the soap Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp). As for the Slaters they moved in to the square and were a typical dysfunctional family ... Grandma was a crook, Dad held everyone together, Kat Slater his daughter was also the mother of his youngest daughter from when she had been raped by his brother and then they moved into the pub and behind the bar when Kat married Alfie Moon .... Watched it until about early 2000s and stopped when the story lines became unbelievable.
  10. Speaking as a brit... When I was a kid watching the film I was in awe more of Mary Poppins than Bert. I guess as a little kid he scared me almost. Then as I grew I realized how the people around me sounded much better than him when they were from London. He just never had a hold on what he should have been sating ... Listen to Alfred Doolittle from My Fair Lady and then you'll hear a real cockney accent as that was the great Stanley Holloway. Eric is painting the picture of Ellis just right ... He's someone who only reverts to his origins at certain times. Anyway fibs a very popular contraction more so than any cockney that we still used today ... Dating from "fibble-fable" from the 16th century meaning nonsense ...It became fib, fibs, fibbing during Victorian days.
  11. I usually fell asleep in the monotonous meetings that my company insisted on having... staff meetings, transition meetings, telephone conferencing with America ... most confusing and sleep inducing was when you were in a meeting and had to wait while the interpreter in the country translated what you were saying. Hell I even fell asleep in a couple of them! I love Ellis he can come over to me any time he wants. As for Baxter just makes me think of Lord Grantham from Downton Abbey ( my all time favourite TV series ). I love the closeness that they have between them and the asides that Kev keeps doing to remind Ellis of his accent, something only your better half would do... my ex was forever telling me to tone it down, or stop swearing but always just loud enough for everyone to hear!
  12. Don't keep it simple for me guvnor, I understood every blooming word. Now I asking , nay I'm begging ya guvnor let Ellis have some fun ... I already love that man. I can hear Baxter in my head with his ever so slightly the 'Duke of VUN' aristocratic accent, I bet he's Lord ???? or the son of Lady Mary the daughter of a Duke who married a Doctor. Gawblimey I'm really looking forward to seeing Ellis grow and what he'll do in VUN. The old ones I reckon would understand him as he's so open they'd be able to read him and he'd be good with them. It'll be fun to get him a little elephant or Brahms as his cockney sel' would come to the fore. His first meal just has to be a Ruby Murray.

    Holidays Again

Lovely chapter though I think that military man may be causing trouble in their absence.... Now I just have to catch up with everything else to know what the hell is happening to Mitch and family.
  14. Prepare for the worst, but plan for the best... Colin, George and the others it was only natural that they only saw the relief of escape the torture that they had lived for centuries. It takes Chick or Devon to see the world as it is as they have a more human here and now outlook on what is happening and can see the Eternal Youth aspect and that others would gladly kill to get their hands on it. How many spent billions on plastic surgery and botox and stuff like that just to continue to look young as their body gets old. Of course they would do anything to get their hands on it.
  15. I did it for 40 years trying to be something that I never was. I knew as a kid that I was gay, but dad found out and beat the shit out of me... I was 15 and had the choice... do what I tell you or leave ! Yes right, let's see Scottish winter - no choice really, leaving would have meant the streets and a Scottish winter is fierce. So I conformed and 40 years and 4 kids later I had a full nervous breakdown that only went when I came out and accepted myself. I wish I had a dad like Devon has ... Willy I think would be quite protective of his kids no matter what they were...
  16. I agree great chapter ... but must admit this Kevin very rarely chuckles these days. Loving the way that the boys are developing and showing real friendship with Devon and Colin. Makes me wander what they would do if they were in a room with a human? Would they trust Devon enough not to attack him?
  17. I'm not much on American politics, but I'd say from this he's not very popular ??? Mind you at least he was elected, ours had to pal up with another party to keep control and she went to the ruddy Irish! Gorblimey guvnor why'd she do that? Loving that the triplets understand when they want something like more Tom and Jerry, but don't understand about love like he was trying to teach them just now.
  18. I can't think of anything better to say ... I love Vlad ! ! ! (Night all... bedtime before the next chapter!)

    The Military Arrives

Personally I love 'Kevin' having lived with it all my life, but as to what this character will turn out like is still to be seen. Still loving this story.

    Communitation Begins

I might not be all that posh or intelligent like them doctor, but I can sign BSL well at least little. I took the first level some years ago, but then was made redundant so never finished it as I was paying for the courses myself. I learnt the alphabet as a missionary as we taught a deaf person and I wanted to be able to talk to him. I love how they are picking it up and learning. This whole new learning open so many possibilities of being more involved than just being locked in the cell. Maybe they could help in VUN.
  21. It might sound strange, but Wayne was simply being ... HUMAN ! ! ! So was Colin. I nearly had a heart attack when all the Texan could think of was Fountain of Youth... when it all hit the fan, I had tears rolling down my face as I could see poor Wayne and Colin and could feel what they were feeling.

    Daniel. A Tribute

You mean a lot to me mate ... Keep on keeping on!
  23. Your hurt reached out to me and I remembered my mother's favorite song from when I was a kid. It was the tune is Londonderry Air, but the words are "Oh Danny Boy'. I just made the mistake of going on You tube and listening to it again. Now I have tears rolling down my face thinking about you, but remembering my mammy. He must have been some man ... Love you mate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTY_kYAsJYU

    John's Crisis

The problem is that the partners all seem to have a purpose ... Colin, well we know that Devon has created a roll for himself ... Look at all of the partners they all seem to have a purpose. John needs a purpose, a roll in life that he can sink his teeth into (Sorry but you know what I mean)! He needs to make George sit back and have to say 'He's my man standing up there!' Being the shrinking violet in the background just somehow does not suit a centuries old vampire.
  25. I love Devon. I worry when I read about the presentation exactly what some of the others are feeling or where they are coming from. Surely more than Devon could see that the two Old ones were getting fractious. Is he the only one with a heart? It seemed almost like George was goading the old ones like a lion tamer in the old time circuses used to. I was almost hoping that they would break through the wall partition and into the presentation. I could quite easily see me being the one to jump in to calm them down. Hell that was what I seemed to be doing all the time when I was married.
