Around here people with dirty minds are like roaches, if you find one you can be certain there are others. Except here no one scurries away when you turn on the lights.

Yes but your characters aren't descendants of Scandanavian Lutherans.

Yeah, I wondered that myself. Their approach seemed like trying to mate your prized cow with the neighbor's champion bull. Different approach for different folks.
  6. Greetings Terry. I have lived with chronic migraine for the majority of my adult life so have adjusted. The current one has eased overnight, thanks. Brookgreen Gardens is lovely being both a horticultural and sculpture garden. There are a number of individual areas each lit differently. The most striking to me is the Avenue of Oaks, a promenade lined by enormous live oak trees. For NoTC they hang hundreds of strings of white lights that cascade from the overarching branches 100+ feet to the ground. I will see if I can find a picture.

I enjoy the role of vicarious fellow traveler reading this and the preceding chapter. Thanks. Having raised a child I enjoy reading how CJ and Owen are raising Leibe, of course they're rather remarkable so it shouldn't be surprising.
  8. Oh dear, that's sad.
  9. The most recent report has 20.5% of covid tests in SC returning as positive. When mum and I got here in mid November it was 4.3%.
  10. Hi Page. What are you and Max up to today?
  11. Happy dreams ...
  12. I am sorry that your grandma isn't well and hope she will recover. Prayers for her and you.
  13. Hi Gary. Dare I ask if you got poked this afternoon?
  14. Being released would seem good news provided she gets good follow up care. Mum and I continue prayers for you both, Steve too.
  15. Greetings Terry. I am coping with a migraine likely because of changeable weather. It's warm, 74/23° and humid with a thunderstorm. We had a lovely time last evening, khop khun khap (hope I got that right).
  16. Oh Albert, this makes me sad. Mum and I send prayers and best wishes.
  17. Page, hi! Glad you and Max got your booster shots. Sounds like you had a nice lunch.
  18. Hi. It was a pleasant walk, temp in the mid 60's/18°. It takes me about 45 minutes to walk the 3 miles. Time depends on how many pups I encounter. Today was just 2, Elvis and Tucker. Mum and I will be going out later to Night of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens. This is an annual event held each year between Thanksgiving and New Year's. My youngest stepsister and her husband had planned to be here from PA but had to cancel due to her being exposed to covid at work. Her boss had a breakthrough infection. Glad you're feeling better Bro.
  19. Greetings Terry. I'm doing well enough thanks. Waiting for sunrise to begin my morning walk.
  20. The thing is I don't wanna relearn algebra as a 10 year old. I didn't like learning it the first time.
  21. Yes, but a professional at what?
  22. Howdy Texy. Yeah like that'll make learning any easier. Unless Page ... er, I mean, yer daddy says otherwise. The poor man's sick let him rest. Thank all things holy you've outgrown that biting habit.
  23. But please, please don't behave like my father. He was in the hospital with pneumonia just before we left PA in early Nov. He was actually released the morning we left. He went back in the Sunday before Christmas because it seems the pneumonia never cleared. He was in four days before being released Thursday morning. I've learned that on Friday he was out with friends to see the Christmas lights and has been out to at least one additional Christmas gathering. He hadn't been out of hospital five days and has been out and about to multiple things. I am pissed. Covid transmission there is extremely high. Should he become infected while recovering from the pneumonia he could very likely die since he has copd and heart issues. Stupid, stupid, stupid ...
