  1. Wait a minute. You've grown leeks in your garden. What were they for?
  2. Oh, so bacon and potato was okay but not leek?
  3. We went out. Mum enjoyed her veal cutlet. I had what tasted like supermarket frozen lasagna. Very disappointing.
  4. That's excellent news. So pleased for you and for Steve.
  5. I'm picturing Clo dancing around her apartment, wings aflutter shaking her crêpe batter.
  6. "Do you still love me, Mitchell?" ... and then the stubborn old fool knowingly lied when he answered ... "No, not anymore ..." I know in the end you'll make this right 'cause you can't help yourself but ...
  7. @Valkyrie's herd chasing after her. You can just see her running in the top right.
  8. If I remember correctly snow is a good thing, provided of course it's not measured in feet.
  9. Guess you're just one of the guys.
  10. Uhm, ... me.

    Encounters

Eric knows and admits he's a bit irascible, it's part of his charm. I imagine the connection with the new neighbors to be a plus for him. While Andy is his mainstay someone nearer to hand is a godsend. I'm waiting to read how he and Tommy get on, well I suspect, though it might take a little to and fro at first. I hadn't thought things quite so desperate for Felicity. Seeing her thus was alarming. I don't think Adam realizes the extent of his father's abuse. Hopefully Emily can aid in bringing closure to that relationship. I have a fondness for waistcoats. I'm thinking this one would bring a smile to my face as well.
  12. I'm guessing by now you've had your meeting. Hope the results were to your good.
  13. Excellent, simply excellent ...
  14. Greetings Albert. I am well enough thanks and my recovery continues unabated.
  15. Hi Page. Thanks for the scratchies
  16. My doctors didn't need to wear mittens to get me out of my carrier. Seriously, I am pleased that your feline companions are doing well. We had a lovely autumnal day here Saturday. Plentiful sunshine, light breeze. Mum and I went to the shop at faire. Seems I am considered an invalid. I was sat down in a corner for the first couple of hours finishing off and clipping loose threads from items before they were hung for sale ... arrrrrrghhhh. My body tells me I am perfectly capable of attending customers. It's what I do best and in all modesty I am better at it than the others. Something I proved as the afternoon progressed. I know that likely sounds petulant on my part and yes that's true. Mum and I both feel my recovery is going remarkably well. I have always been a good patient. I listen to my body, our bodies feel pain and discomfort for a reason. If I try something and my body says no not yet than I take note and don't do that. I was given no firm restrictions other than no driving while taking pain meds, I've only taken 3 pills. I don't need them. I may not move as quickly and need to avoid heavy lifting but otherwise I am capable of doing most of what I did presurgery. I am a bit concerned about mum. By midday she was exhausted to the point of being woozy. She said she thinks it was because last week or so was very tiring both physically and emotionally. She sat quietly had some coffee and light food and was better by the time we came home. We are not going to the shop today. While I had no difficulty doing what I do and enjoyed it imensely and could work again today I've promised mum I shan't overdo. Today Mum is visiting with my steplady-in-law (for all intent and purpose she is my stepbrother's wife but they are unmarried, a few years ago their pastor was going to perform a civil union for them but a group within the church raised an unchristian stink and it didn't happen) Thistle and I are having a mostly relaxing day doing what I am not sure but something. I also, owe you some kilt tales. I've not yet told you about Jake, Nick, Alex or Nick's return with friends ...
  17. A new market stand has opened. It makes me think of @Timothy M.. They sell fresh made Danish foods. Friday was their first day. I haven't tried anything yet but there were a number of tasty looking items on display.
  18. Remembering the myriad small kindnesses that quietly occur help me endure. Namasté little brother. Love to you and Michael from mum and me. She just celebrated her 86th birthday and is well.
  19. For small blessings we are thankful ... feel better.
  20. But at least he gets a thought. My mum's neighbors ask her when Thistle is coming back to SC.

I think Parker that many of them are miserable in themselves and can't abide anyone of "other" ilk be it race, creed or sexuality praised or set as an example of something good when they are largely ignored. Excellent chapter northy. Eric still has friends. I am curious as to what relationship he develops with his new neighbors. I believe them to become another bright spot in Eric's life.
  22. I hope your night passed with less issue than your day.
  23. I was going to post how well my recovery is going but after reading this it feels like gloating. I hope all is resolved quickly with better results.
